The group did went to a planet and almost gotten killed but a man dark haired named Dan Heng helped them that is from the IPC and after the mission, Himeko and Welt went to talk to him as Mei took Ruby and Soukaku to eat something after the mission.

"So... Dan Heng, I have an offer for you to do" Himeko says as Dan Heng nods listening to her  as Himeko smiles

"Would you like to join the Astral Express?" Himeko asks Dan Heng as Dan Heng stays quiet before thinking it and Dan Heng nods as Himeko smiles "Alright then, we will be waiting for you then" Himeko says as Dan Heng nods as Himeko and Welt leave and go where Mei, Ruby and Soukaku are. "Dan Heng is joining us" Her sentence makes Soukaku choke on her drink as Mei try to help Soukaku to breath as Soukaku finally manages to breath.

"Are you for real? This isn't a joke?" Soukaku asks and Himeko nods as Soukaku is happy that runs everywhere as Mei tries to stop her but then gives up letting her being herself.

Dan Heng POV:
I watched the crew from a distance and they seemed very close like a family... perhaps it's my right choice to join them. Hoping I can fit with them... I should pack my things to go to the Express already

Everybody went to the Express already including Dan Heng, Himeko welcomed him and offered him a room but Dan Heng said that he's fine by sleeping in the room of the archives and in the floor so Himeko let him be and made him guardian of the Archives and passing days that Dan Heng wasnt still used Soukaku coming to the Archives "What do you need?" Dan Heng asks as Soukaku is in the archives trying to find a file of something she needs

"A file of the Oni's, I need to know more about what happened to them after they got killed and tortured by the humans" Soukaku says as Dan Heng eyes softens because Himeko told him that Soukaku is the last one of her kind

"My sincerest condolences for your your people" Dan Heng says as Soukaku nods and suddenly sees a file of the Oni's and sees it

The war between humans and Oni was swift, brutal, and merciless. Though the Oni were mighty warriors, the sheer number of human forces, combined with their strategic planning and cruel determination, led to the Oni's downfall. This document details the final fate of the Oni race following the war.

Phase 1: The Capture and Enslavement of the Oni

Year -3 to Year -1 Post-Oni

After the defeat of the Oni armies, those who survived were rounded up, bound in iron chains, and transported to human lands. The human emperor, Lord Takeda, declared that Oni were no longer beings, but creatures to be studied, broken, and erased.

Surviving Oni were subjected to:
• Forced Labor Camps: The Oni were made to build fortresses, mine for resources, and construct weapons for their captors. Any sign of resistance was met with immediate execution.
• Torturous Experiments: Many Oni were taken to mental asylums and research facilities, where they were experimented on to "understand their supernatural abilities." This included:
• Draining their blood to see if it held magical properties.
• Dissecting their bodies to determine the source of their strength.
• Psychological torture to break their will, leading to insanity.
• Public Executions: Humans held "purification festivals", where captured Oni were paraded through cities before being executed in front of crowds. This was meant to erase their legacy from history and ensure their terror would never rise again.

Phase 2: The Oni Concentration Camps & Mass Extermination

Year 0 Post-Oni

The final step in the eradication of the Oni came in the Great Purge. The human empire, having no further use for the Oni, ordered their systematic extermination.

The Oni were herded into concentration camps, the largest of which was Shironaga Facility, a massive fortress-turned-extermination center. Here, the remaining Oni faced:
• Gas Chambers: Oni were locked inside and exposed to deadly toxins, suffocating them within minutes.
• Burning Pits: In some camps, Oni were thrown into great fires, much like the ceremony they once used to "purify" humans. A cruel irony.
• Starvation and Disease: Some Oni were left in cages without food or water, their bodies wasting away.

By the end of Year 0, there were no recorded survivors of the Oni race.

Phase 3: Erasing the Oni from History

Year 1 to Year 10 Post-Oni

With the Oni exterminated, the human empire sought to erase all traces of their existence. This included:
• Destroying Oni Temples & Cities: The once-great Oni lands were burned, their stone structures demolished.

• Banning Oni Culture: All records, scrolls, and artifacts relating to the Oni were confiscated and destroyed.
• Hunting Down Half-Oni: Any child suspected of having Oni blood was either executed or forced into secrecy.

The few who still spoke of the Oni were imprisoned or silenced. Over the years, the Oni became nothing more than a myth, a warning tale told to children.

Soukaku doesnt have words as she was sobbing on her knees as Dan Heng quickly kneels over her and grabs her head putting it into his chest while comforting her and the whole crew heard the cries of Soukaku and interrupted in the room of Dan Heng and saw Dan Heng comforting a sad Soukaku

"Dan Heng, what happened?" Himeko asks and Dan Heng pointed out at the file as everybody read it and fell in silence, it must be really tough for Soukaku to learn that all her people died

"Seems like all Oni's except Soukaku were erased and terminated, it must be very hard for Soukaku" Welt says analyzing the situation as Dan Heng carrying Soukaku back to her room and put her in bed and return to his room. Welt went to his room to do more research about the Oni's and Mei did the same in her room as Himeko took Ruby to relax Ruby as Dan Heng went to do his work but mentally he's worried about Soukaku

Soukaku was preparing some tea for herself until a voice interrupted "Are you sure it's q good idea for you to drink tea?" A voice says and Soukaku turns around seeing it's just Dan Heng as Dan Heng helps her make tea and he hands it over her as Soukaku thanks him and there is silence until Dan Heng speaks "I'm absolutely sorry for what happened to your people, it must be very painful for you"

"Yeah... here I thought there were survivors..." Soukaku says sadly sitting in the couch of the Parlor Car as Dan Heng sits with her

"How did you- met Mrs. Yang and Mrs. Himeko? Dan Heng asks Soukaku as Soukaku attention brings her back

"Let's say that... when I was 9 and hungry, I followed a man who was going in the ship and went there and he landed in the space station, I appeared in the main central room where Asta found me, everybody freaked out and were going to send somebody to terminate me but Arlan and Asta stopped them saying that she's just a kid but the researchers didn't agree until Herta told them to leave her alone or they will get fired as everybody finally agreed and some days Welt and Himeko came in the station and saw me, Asta explained them and they decided to take care of me and that's how I joined the Express by going adventures with them" Soukaku says as Dan Heng nods and leaves to his room as Soukaku smiles at that memory as Mei is in her room thinking
