Zoya POV

Sato came back with our drinks and went to help another customer.

Zoya: And this is thank you for saving my life

Kano: Cheers 🍻

Kano: One *hiccup* more

Zoya: No, no ,no

Kano: Please, come on, pretty please, *hiccup*

Zoya: Alright then, Sato...um... one more *chuckle*

Sato: *chuckle* if you insist

Shiori: what are they doing?

Sato:*Whispers* they're just drunk.

Kano: HEY, I heard that, *hiccup* WE... are NOT Drunk... *laughs*

Takes a drink and then drops onto the counter falling asleep

Zoya: I can't believe this guy is the best player in SAO

Sato: You better believe it, he saved all our lives and we own him.

Zoya: reaaally? How you meet him? *hiccup*

Sato: I met Kano when I was in a dungeon with a group of my friends, we got cornered and in the blink of an eye he defeated every mob. As thanks I invited him to a drink. Hey Shiori come on, tell her on how you met him.

Shiori: Well I was trying to become a blacksmith when the game started so one day I went alone to find some rare material, I didn't have any experience fighting and I got paralyzed by some mobs, when out of the blue this Baka shows up saving me. I didn't ask for any help but he did it anyway. Hehehe, as thanks I offered him a drink.

Zoya: What about you, Izumi?

Izumi: I always loved to sing but had very bad stage fright, one night after a horrible gig, some creeps tried to kidnap me, Kano, showed up in his scary armor and once they saw who he was they ran away like the rats they were. I was a little scared myself but once he took his mask off, I wasn't afraid anymore. He told me he liked my singing and helped me overcome my stage fright.

Zoya: Let me guess, you invited him for a drink? *chuckle*

Izumi: *smiling* YEP!

Zoya:*Thinking* woah, so he saved all these people lives and all he wants in return is a drink. *smiling at him*

Kano starts to wake up

Kano: *sleepy* What happened?

Sato: It's time my man

Izumi: Oh yeah!!!

Zoya: time for what?

Kano gets up from his chair and walks toward the stage. Once their the lights slowly darken as he sits in the piano nodding at the band players

After he finishes he stands up and bows as everyone applauds.

I was so surprised that my jaw dropped in disbelief.

I can hear Sato whisper to me "He sings better when he's drunk"

Kano POV

As I walk up to my chair Izumi and Shiori are applauding

Kano: thank you guys

I look at Zoya with her jaw open

Kano: I'm just full of surprises aren't I

I say with a smile giving her a wink

Zoya turns back to normal but starts to blush red

Izumi: You were great up there Kano!

Zoya and I receive a message on our menu and open it up

Kano: Looks like they found the 13th dungeon.

Zoya: the meeting will be tomorrow

Kano: Will I...see you there?

Zoya: Maaaybeee?
She said with a smile and eye brow raised
I open up my menu and pay for all of the drinks Zoya and I had

Zoya: wait, I thought I was paying for those

I get up from my chair
Kano: Well, guess you still owe me a drink

I grab her hand and give it a gently kiss and turned to look at her

Kano: but for another day
I say with a smile giving her a wink, as I'm letting go I walk out and my goodbyes from afar to the rest.

Zoya POV
Sato: damn that was smooth...no wonder he gets all the girls

I was again let with a face of disbelief until I processed what had happen, making me blush even harder than before.

Sato: Can I give you a little advice?

I nod my head

Sato: I have seen the way Kano talks to girls before, but I've never seen him talk to anybody the way he just did to you. That means he must really like you. If you don't mind me asking, what happened in that cave?

Zoya: *flustered* We only talked... that's all

Shiori: *sinisterly*mhmm

Izumi: come on Shiori, leave her alone
Sato starts to chuckle.

After saying goodbye and on the way home, I couldn't help but wonder why I was feeling these emotions, why I was flustered every time I was around him. I had to basically force myself to sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about him, until before I realized I was asleep.

Kano POV

As I twisted and turned in my bed, I couldn't help but think why that girl made me feel something I hadn't felt for a long time.
