Y/n and Daniel strolled to the park during their free lecture.

As they reached the open field, they spotted Johnny and Heather practising karate together under a tree. They were laughing and seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Daniel noticed Y/n glance at them and quickly looked away, pretending she didn't care.

Before either of them could say anything, Mike walked up, grinning like he always did.

"Hey, guys! Look at them." He said, pointing at Johnny and Heather.

"Heather's getting better, huh? Last practice, she totally whooped Jimmy. Took him down like he was nothing."

Y/n raised an eyebrow.

"Really? She defeated Jimmy?"

"Oh, yeah. She's all flashy moves and no mercy. Gotta admit, it was impressive. But don't worry." he added, winking at Y/n.

"I still think you can show her who's boss."

Y/n gave him a look.

"You've never even seen me do karate, Mike."

"Details, details." Mike said, waving it off.

"I just know. You've got this fierce look in your eyes. I bet you could wipe the floor with her."

Daniel, who had been watching Johnny and Heather with a sour expression, turned to Y/n.

"You know, Mike's got a point. Your dad's finally on board with this whole karate thing. This is your chance to get back into Cobra Kai and I don't know, knock some sense into Johnny and Heather."

It felt weird for Daniel to agree on something with Mike.

"First of all, I don't care what Johnny does. And second, I'm not joining just to prove a point to anyone."

"You don't have to say it's about Johnny or Heather but we all know it'd feel pretty good." Daniel smirked.

"Imagine it. You walk in, Cobra Kai gi looking all sharp and then bam! You crush Heather in a sparring match. Johnny won't know what hit him." Mike laughed.

Y/n rolled her eyes but couldn't help the small smile.

"You two are impossible."

"Impossible or inspirational? Come on, Y/n. If your dad's on board, you've got nothing holding you back. Except maybe Heather's growing ego." Mike smirked.

"Mike's right. Don't let Heather steal all the glory. You're better than her...way better. Trust me." Daniel smiled.

She glanced back at Johnny and Heather. They were still practising, Johnny correcting her stances and laughing at her jokes. It stung a little, but she shook her head.

"You two shouldn't jump to conclusions. You don't know how good Heather's gotten."

Mike groaned dramatically.

"Oh, please. Like she's suddenly a karate prodigy. You're Y/n. You're tougher than any Heather and you know it."

Y/n sighed but their words did make her feel a little better. She had been carrying so much stress from everything...her family, Johnny, Cobra Kai.

It was hard to even think about going back. Still, she was slowly recovering and Mike's and Daniel's support made her feel happy.

"I'll think about it." She finally said, pushing off the bench.

"Think about it fast. Before Heather starts thinking she's queen of Cobra Kai." Mike grinned.

"Or worse, before Johnny starts calling her the best fighter in the dojo." Daniel laughed.

"You two are ridiculous."

As they left the park, Mike leaned over to Daniel.

"She's totally gonna join."

"Oh, she's in. She just doesn't know it yet." Daniel nodded.

.

Y/n wandered into the common area, hoping to clear her head. To her surprise, she spotted Jimmy, Bobby, Tommy and Dutch sitting together, chatting amongst themselves.

Shedecided to just walk past them.but before she could, Bobby called out her name.

"Yn! Hey!" Bobby said, waving her over with a friendly smile.

The four of them got up and walked toward her before she could make her escape. Y/n stopped and turned around.

"Hi, guys." she said.

"How are you doing?" Bobby asked.

"I'm okay," Y/n replied, giving a small shrug.

She wasn't sure what to make of their sudden interest.

"Why isn't Johnny with you?" She asked curiously, though she regretted it the moment the words left her mouth.

Of course he was busy with Heather.

"Most of the time, he's with Heather now." Jimmy answered.

"Yeah, she's joined Cobra Kai too." Bobby said.

"I heard she defeated you yesterday, Jimmy."

Jimmy looked a little embarrassed but nodded.

"Yeah, she did. She's been getting better lately. I guess Johnny's been helping her a lot."

"Of course he has. She's the only girl in the dojo now." Tommy rolled his eyes.

"And honestly, we don't like her." Dutch scoffed.

Y/n raised an eyebrow, surprised by their honesty.

"You don't like her? Why not?"

"She's... I don't know..." Tommy shrugged.

"She's just not like you. When you were in Cobra Kai, things were... better. You had real skill, real drive. Heather? She just shows up, acts all sweet and suddenly thinks she's queen of the dojo."

"Wait, are you guys... praising me right now? This feels weird." Y/n laughed.

"It's the truth. Things were better when you were around. You didn't take crap from anyone, not even Johnny." Dutch grinned.

"Yeah, you were tough. And you actually cared about karate, not just about... well, Johnny." Jimmy shrugged.

Y/n couldn't help but laugh a little.

"I never thought I'd hear this from you guys. Weren't you always on Johnny's side no matter what?"

"Things change. You're not in Cobra Kai anymore and it's not the same without you." Bobby sighed.

"You should come back. Seriously." Dutch smirked.

Y/n stared at him, her eyebrows shooting up in disbelief.

"Come back? You're kidding, right?"

"No, I'm not..We all think it'd be better if you were back in the dojo."

The others nodded in agreement. Y/n found it funny at first, thinking they were joking but when she saw how serious they looked, her amusement turned to surprise.

"Look, guys." She said, holding up her hands.

"I don't know. Things were... complicated back then.and I'm not sure if going back is the right move."

"What's complicated about it? It's all good now, right? You said you're okay. Johnny's got Heather to keep him busy, so it's not like you'll have to deal with him." Tommy asked.

Y/n couldn't help but laugh again, though there was a touch of nervousness in her tone.

"You guys are seriously trying to recruit me back into Cobra Kai?"

"Why not?" Bobby asked with a shrug.

"You were one of us, Y/n. And we all know you're better than Heather."

Y/n shook her head, still finding it hard to believe this conversation was even happening.

"I'll think about it." she said finally, though she wasn't sure she meant it.

They all stayed silent for a moment and she thought it was best to tell them about Kreese.

"You know, Kreese was at my house yesterday. He said the same thing...that he wants me back in Cobra Kai. Are you guess sure you are not saying this on his say?"

"Well, he's right. You should come back. And no, we are doing this on his say. We have meaning to say this to you since one week. The All Valley Tournament is coming up soon and we could use you on the team." Bobby explained.

"Yeah, Y/n, it's not just Kreese who wants you back. We all do. It's not the same without you." Jimmy grinned.

"And let's be honest, you're way better than most of the people in the dojo now. Heather wouldn't stand a chance against you." Tommy smirked.

Y/n raised her eyebrows, surprised at how much they wanted her back. Their enthusiasm made her smile a little.

"You guys really think I should come back?" She asked.

"Absolutely. It's time to show everyone what you can do again." Dutch smiled.

Y/n hesitated for a moment but then she realised how much she missed karate...the thrill, the challenge.

"Okay. I'll do it. I'll come back."

The boys erupted into cheers, clapping and grinning at her decision.

"That's the Y/n we know!" Tommy said.

"But..." Y/n quickly added, holding up a hand.

"don't tell Johnny. I don't want him to know yet."

The Cobras nodded, understanding.

"Don't worry. We'll keep it between us." Bobby  smirked.

Y/n smiled. She was going back to Cobra Kai and for the first time in a while, she felt like things might just start to make sense again.

Just as Y/n was about to leave, Johnny walked into the common area with Heather by his side. Johnny's eyes flicked over Y/n but he didn't say a word...he completely ignored her.

Heather, on the other hand, gave Y/n a fake, sarcastic smile.

"Oh, hi, Y/n! Didn't expect to see you here."

Y/n, keeping her cool, greeted her back sweetly.

"Hi, Heather. Nice to see you."

The Cobras, however, weren't as polite. They gave Heather matching sarcastic smiles and mumbled half.hearted greetings. In their minds, they were fully backing Y/n and it showed.

Y/n glanced at the Cobras and said her goodbyes.

"I'll see you guys later." She gave them a small wave and walked away with her head held high.

As soon as she was gone, Johnny turned to the Cobras.

"What was she doing here?"

The Cobras exchanged looks and shrugged.

"She was just... talking." Dutch dry replied.

"Yeah, nothing important. Why? You care now?" Jimmy asked.

Johnny narrowed his eyes at them, sensing something was off but the Cobras didn't offer any more information.

They were keeping Y/n's decision to themselves, just as they promised.
