Hayami skipped happily as she walked through the engawa where no sun can entered through.

Kagaya told her there's a girl that she really like to meet and it make her excited

After a few minutes walk, she finally arrive at Kagaya's room. Couldn't control her happiness, she slide the door loudly

"Father!"

"Ah.. Hayami you're here... Come.. "

Hayami sprinted into Oyakata-sama before giving him a not-too-tight hug before break it off

"So where is she?! Where where where?!? " Hayami ask excitedly as she look around the rooom

Kagaya chuckled before saying
"Calm down child... "

"Right! "

Hayami waited patiently. She can't wait to meet her new friend

"Okay Aika, you can come out now... "

Just as that, a girl slowly peeked from Kagaya's back before sitting beside him

"Hayami, this is-"

"WOAH?!? IS THIS HER???HI I'M TOMOKO HAYAMI! WHAT'S YOURS? KYAHHHHH YOU'RE SO CUTE! HEY WAIT! WE HAVE THE SAME HAIRCLIP! OH MY GOSH WERE GONNA BE BEST FRIEND FOR SURE! " Hayami squealed before she take out her butterfly hairclip underneath her haori and waved it around

It was a good few seconds silent before the girl spoke

"Hello, I'm Chizuru Aika...im eight...Nice to.. Meet you?"

After the introduction, Hayami hug Aika tightly as her cheek rubbed against her

"YEAH! NICE TO MEET YOU TOO! OH YOUR CHEEK IS SO SQUISHY YOU'RE CUTE TOO AHHHHHH"

Aika didn't know what to do. So she just Pat her back as Hayami hug her

Kagaya smile at the interaction

"I see you both has become friend.. I'm glad.. "

It's been around three years since Aika and Hayami became friend, aika also starts her training to become demon slayer at 10. Hayami being the not-related-big sis she is, always cheer for her under the roof

But she didn't want to cry in front of anyone. It'll make her weak and immature. She thought

6 months has passed, the final selection is tomorrow so Aika need to get a good night sleep.

That night before the final selection, Hayami kept ranting about her safety and stuff

"WHAT IF SHE DIDN'T MAKE IT? WHAT IF SHE DIED OF HUNGER? WHAT IF THE DEMON KILL HER WHEN SHES ASLEEP? WHAT IF-"

"SHUT UP! SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO YET! LET ME GET MY GODDAMN SLEEP" Sanemi yelled

Aika's POV:

I walked through the halls as I headed over to some room.

A year has passed, my rank is now Kanoto. Everytime I got rise up to a new rank, Hayami-nee always appeared randomly just to see my new rank. Once she randomly appeared on the ceiling just because I got rised up to mizunoe. I need to be careful next time...

Minutes passed, I finally arrived at some room. I greeted him softly

"Oyakata-sama, you called for me? "

"Yes.. Come in.. "

Aika sat in front of Kagaya as silence engulfed them for few seconds.

"I have a request for you if you don't mind... "

"Aika, meet Tokito Muichiro. He's the same age as you. I was hoping if you could take care of him for a while... Forgive me if it's bothering you my child... "

Kagaya leave them both alone so Aika can do her work

Aika sat not too close yet not too far away from this boy she just met

Aika thought as she stare at him but not creepily.

Aika just finished preparing his lunch and medicine when suddenly, a grunt was heared from the boy as he slowly opened his eyes

'My head hurts... ' Muichiro thought bitterly

He thought he was alone until he saw a strange girl sit not too far from him

'Who is this girl?... '

"You're awake... "

"Who are-"

"I prepared your lunch and medicine. Eat up. "

"I'm asking you who-"

"Can you sit up? "

Muichiro deadpanned before nodding. He slowly sit up, though he doesn't really need help, Aika still helps him anyway

After eating his food and medicine, she cleaned up the dishes

Muichiro look at her for a second before saying

"Hey, "

"Hmm? "

"Thank you... Uh.. "

"Aika, call me Aika. "

Muichiro then become quiet and just nodded.

'Aika... that's a nice name... '

And that's how Aika and Muichiro met

Days after days, Aika and Muichiro become friend, Hayami then also met Muichiro after a week Aika and Muichiro became friend

Hayami really looovesss kids. So their first meeting didn't went really well...

Poor Muichiro he almost got choked by Hayami's tight hug

Two months has passed and Muichiro become a hashira which made Hayami surprised by how he became a hashira in such a short time.

"Help me beat that man(Sanemi) ass! "

Days turn into weeks, weeks, turn into months, months turn into years, the amount of hashira has also increased a bit

Some of them are nice, some are...not really nice...

Let's just hope this generation will be stronger and will finally beat Muzan so everyone can have a peaceful life.
