"They wanted to use my technology to track down the perpetrators, but I had a better idea," Davenport told his children. "I wanted to make an all-powerful Elite Force combining bionic heroes and superheroes."

"So, when are the superheroes here?" Bree questioned.

Not even being slightly offended, Oliver responded, "You're looking at them."

"Oh yeah, Oliver and I have powers now," Kaz bragged to the bionic teens with his goofy smile plastered all over his face.

"What? Did you fall into a pit of radioactive waste? Or no, no, let me guess! You got bitten by a supernatural spider," Chase mocked the two best friends, and did a few Spiderman moves.

"What? No? Don't be ridiculous," Oliver huffed at him and then began to ramble one of the craziest stories to date. "While trying to stop my mother from becoming the most powerful being in the world, we made indirect contact with the Acturion space rock that gave us superhero abilities."

"Yeah, because that doesn't sound ridiculous at all," Elizabeth teased him with a cheeky smile on her face. Oliver didn't know how to react so he just... kind of smiled?

"Oh, a space rock, of course," Chase continued his mockery of the duo. "And was that delivered by a bunch of little green men?"

Evelyn and Madison had had enough of Chase's belittling, and simultaneously - without saying a word to each other - they used their air manipulation to blow him back into the penthouse.

"Woah!" he exclaimed, as he got blasted backwards. "What was that for?"

"Let's see how your little chippie in your neck will help you with that," Evelyn bickered.

Chase got up and fired his ball of energy - which he could make from his force fields - to blast Evelyn a few feet backwards. "It helped pretty well."

Evelyn growled in pain while getting back on her feet. "She blew you back too. Why are you only hitting me?" she grunted at him and pointed towards Madison.

Chase was quiet for a few seconds. "She didn't mock me afterwards."

Madison smiled at Chase. She knew he was lying, but she didn't mind.

"You have to excuse Chase," Bree said, breaking the silence that had created after Chase and Evelyn's bickering. "If he can't explain it with science, it doesn't exist. Kinda like his social life-"

She got cut off by her younger sister. "Or his sense of humor."

"Or his ability to have fun," Leo finished for his two sisters.

While the five superheroes let out a chuckle, Chase hadn't heard a thing. He was too distracted by the girl he met over a year ago and hadn't stopped thinking about ever since. Her long, blonde hair was blown out of her face by the wind, as her curls were gracefully hanging over her shoulders. He could stare into her light-blue eyes for hours.

"I have to side with Chase that I'm having trouble picturing those two with superpowers," Adam agreed with his little brother - which was a rare occasion.

Kaz decided to help the two brothers out by lighting up the fireplace with his newly acquired superpowers.

Chase snapped back into reality and rushed over to Kaz's hand. "But- How- The human body-," he stammered, before finally coming back to his senses. "I'm watching you, Fire boy."

"Wait, so superpowers could not be possible with the human body, but you creating a force field energy ball with your bare hands because of a chip in your neck is completely logical?" Madison questioned him.

Chase couldn't answer that question. He had never thought about it like that. "Hush," he muttered to her, as a bigger smile formed on Madison's face. He had to admit that he liked it when she made him think.

"Alright, let's head out for the low lives that destroyed Mighty Med," Kaz said, after settling into their new place. The teens were down in the headquarters, which was below the Earth service. Luckily for the teens, the hyper lift that brought them there was - as Davenport stated it - boring. The headquarters was linked to the entire city through tunnels. Something that was found to be helpful later on.

"But, we don't even know where to look," Oliver argued, but he didn't impress Kaz much.

"Besides, we don't even know who did it," Evelyn added to Oliver's arguments.

Kaz sighed deeply, before he spoke, "I think we all have the same feeling that it's Oliver and Madison's mom."

"It's not her," Madison said through gritted teeth. "She knew we would be in there. She would never purposefully try to hurt Oliver."

"She has a point," Oliver joined.

"We have to start somewhere. We'll just go city by city, and we'll start here," Kaz formed a quick plan. "We'll take downtown, you'll take uptown," He pointed towards the bionic siblings during the last bit.

"I'm not going with you," Madison scoffed.

"Wow, wow, wow," Chase intervened in their conversation. "We don't just go looking for people. We device a plan first."

"I just did," Kaz argued. "Uptown, downtown. I don't really know any other parts of town, so... Plan commenced!"

"You can't be serious about this, Kaz," Evelyn spoke up. Kaz huffed at her, so she returned the favor.

He walked over to the hyper lift. "We have to stop Bridget before she will do something like this again."

"Stop assuming that it's our mother's fault," Oliver said, annoyed at his best friend. There was no proof that it was or could be her.

"The tension in here is overwhelming," Elizabeth whispered to her older sister, who nodded in agreement.

"Let's do this logically and strategically," Chase insisted. He walked over to the main cyber desk and began to push some buttons.

Madison and Oliver had retreated themselves from Kaz and stood side by side by the cyber desk on the right.

The four remaining bionic siblings had been silent most of the time. They didn't know the superheroes well at all, but they knew that their so-called "Elite Force" was already falling apart.

"The cyber desk is compiling all of the superheroes and who might have a grudge against them. Now, I still need to know more about you guys," Chase spoke up, once he had finished his work on the main cyber desk. His gaze was fixated on Madison when he said the second sentence, but then quickly turned to face Kaz instead.

"Oh, well, I'm 5'10. I'm a hardy mix of Irish and German, yet everyone thinks I'm either Spanish or Italian, and I'm known to lie about my height," Kaz told him some facts of which Chase wasn't exactly looking for.

"People think you're either Spanish or Italian because you have ten names," Oliver huffed at him, without making eye contact in the process.

"How stereotypical," Kaz scowled back at him.

"I meant, what other magical powers do you have?" Chase said on a mocking tone.

"Watch it, smart boy," Evelyn warned him, and he held up his hands.

"Well, I have super-strength," Oliver said proudly.

Bree scoffed at him in reaction. "You?"

"Yes, me," Oliver replied, sounding offended. "Why does everyone sound surprised when I say that?"

"No reason!" Madison quickly blurted out. She knew why people were surprised, and she didn't want them to tell him and hurt his confidence. "Anyway, I'm an Elemental with electricity manipulation."

"And that's it?" Chase asked her for confirmation.

"Mhm," she lied.

"All my powers have to do with air manipulation or lung adaption," Evelyn told Chase.

Leo finally spoke up from his long silence, "Don't forget that you turned into a blue mist."

"Right, I can also mimic air in different phases and fly," Evelyn added with a nod to Leo.

The sudden noise of the intercom got everyone's attention. "Guys, get up right now. There's something weird going on."

The ten teens rushed up the hyper lift to find a concerned Davenport with his even more concerning self-portrait where he's washing with money.

"Wow, that is weird," Skylar agreed with him at the sight of the portrait.

"Believe me, after a while, you get used to it," Elizabeth reassured her, but even she was a little crept out by the painting.

Davenport rolled his eyes. "I saw something fly outside."

"There are things like birds, you know," Chase scoffed, but after seeing Davenport's reaction, he kept silent.

While most of the teens immediately went to take a look, Bree helped herself to the painting. "I see something that's going to fly out of the window."

"Bree, I'm serious. There's something out there," Davenport said to his daughter, partly to hopefully keep his portrait, which he liked very much.

"Watch out!" Chase suddenly shouted through the room. He was closest to the window with Madison shortly behind him. Neither had time to properly shield themselves from the breaking glass, so Chase put his arms around Madison and ducked with her.

Elizabeth on the other side was a bit smarter than her brother. She generated a large force field with her fyrosokinesis. She was able to protect Oliver, Davenport, Bree, Leo, Evelyn and, of course, herself from the shatters.

"Is everyone okay?" Adam was the first to ask.

"We're fine," Chase answered when he saw that Madison wasn't harmed in any way.

She looked at him - feeling herself become a little nervous - and spoke, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," he responded with a smile.

"Look, there's something on the floor," Skylar suddenly noticed, and walked towards the small, black box. Kaz was still getting the glass off his neck and back - luckily, none of it made any cuts.

"Yeah, about 36,000 dollars worth of glass," Davenport said with a sigh, as he looked at the broken glass shattered across the floor.

"It's a box," Oliver told the others, as he picked up the box. "With a note."

As Oliver was about to open the box, Kaz stopped him. "Dude, what are you doing?! You have to open the card first."

"No, no," Chase shook his head and swiftly took the box from Oliver. "There could be explosives in here that could blow up the entire place. I'll scan it with my bionic vision." He did as he told he would do, before looking at the other teens. "It's a flash drive."

"I wonder who it's from," Leo wondered out loud. "I mean, they have a funny way of getting our attention."

"That's why you gotta open the card first," Adam said on his duh-tone. Kaz immediately agreed with him.

"Honestly, what idiots," Skylar mumbled to Evelyn, someone who she saw as her "platonic soulmate" as Evelyn put it.

"Yeah, but they're cute though," Evelyn muttered back, her eyes fixated on the black-haired boy.

🌘🌘🌘

It turned out that there was a video on the flash drive from the "low lives" - as to quote Kaz.

Two young men in full black outfits were standing in the middle of what appeared to be an alley. "Destroying your little hospital was just the beginning. We're out on the hunt for every superhero that remains, and soon they will all be extinct. Once we've eliminated them all, we're coming for you; Kaz, Oliver, Skylar, Evelyn and Madison," one the two men spoke. "And anyone else dumb enough to protect you." The screen went dark again.

Oliver was quick to speak up. "Who was that?"

"Definitely not our mom," Madison told him.

"See? This is exactly why I wanted to go out and find them first," Kaz said, referring to his idea of earlier. He was clearly frustrated.

"As soon as we have finalized a plan," Elizabeth reassured him, but it wasn't enough.

"Forget your plan!" he blurted out. "If we don't stop them, they're going to take out every superhero out there, including us."

"Well, they take us down a lot faster if we go into this thing unprepared," Chase argued back with him. There was no way the bionic heroes we're going to "wing it" out there, while technically, nothing had happened yet.

"Skylar? Back me up on this," Kaz begged his friend after he realized that the bionic teens were not going with him.

Skylar looked at her hands. "We'll get them, Kaz. It's just going to take some time."

He didn't even bother asking Madison or Oliver, and when he saw Evelyn's face, he knew enough. "You know, I never thought that being part of an "Elite Force" would be sitting around and doing nothing!"

He stomped over to the hyper lift, with Evelyn closely following him. "Kaz, come on." But it was of no use; he was gone.
