"I just hate that how i much i still love you"

She said while holding a picture of him, "i still can't believe what you did to me arwan raghuvanshi" its been 4 years i last saw you, and now i wish i never knew you because you are just too hard to forget..

She was just so lost in her thoughts, suddenly her PA Bhaskar called her "mam i was calling you since 10 mins" i adjusted my position "what is it?" "Mam after 2 hrs you have to attend a meeting"

"Okay, I'll be there" Anika replied, setting the picture aside and taking a deep breath to compose herself. She knew she had to put on a brave face for her duties as the Chief Minister. It's been 1 month since her father left these responsibilities on her. She had worked tirelessly to fill his shoes, to carry on his legacy, and to serve the people of their state with the same dedication he had.

I was in my car reading some documents in my phone but than I saw there were no other cars, "Mr Bhaskar why there are no other vehicles?" He hesitately answered my question "vo mam jb CM ki sawari niklti h to traffic rokna padta h, hum traffic m fhas jayenge to apni zimmedariya Puri kese kr payenge, aur vese bhi hum inhi ki bhalai ke liye to kaam kr rae h".

Anika stepped out of her car and walked down the corridor, her heels clicking rhythmically against the marble floor. She had always been a firm believer in leading by example, and that meant being punctual and professional, regardless of her personal life. She paused outside the conference room, took a final deep breath, and pushed the door open.

The room fell silent as she entered, the air thick with the anticipation of her arrival. All the officers there , all of them seasoned professionals, stood up in respect.  The DGP Arwan Raghuvanshi, however, remained seated, his eyes locked on hers. The moment felt like a punch to her gut, as if the years had melted away.

She just saw the person who broke her into million of pecies , the person she never wanted to see again, is now in front of her as if the universe had decided to play a cruel joke.

"Mr. Raghuwanshi" one of his colleagues signal him to stand up, breaking the tension between them. All the officers wished her "good morning mam". Arwan's gaze didn't leave Anika as he slowly stood up, his eyes never leaving hers. His jaw was tight, and his expression unreadable. She felt a twinge of annoyance at his nonchalance but quickly tucked it away.

"Good morning, Thank you all for your time," she began, her voice steady and authoritative. "Mam I would Iike to introduce-" "excuse me Mr. Sharma introduction wagera hota rahega please discuss what we are here for and I want to know about the traffic problems first please."

"Mam uske liye hum kl aapki meeting Mr. Arun se fix kr denge"

"Abhi nhi ho skti?"

"Mam abhi?"

"Han abhi, yahi bula lijiye unhe"

"Sure mam"

After 5 mins Mr. Arun walked in.

"Good morning mam" Mr. Arun greeted

"Mam ye h Mr. Arun Gupta traffic commissionar aur unki team"

"Thanks for your time, aap sab acche se jante honge yaha ki jo traffic ki halat h"

"Mam yaha ki population zada h jb bheed zada ho jati h to problem ho jati h"

"Population zada h to hume zada planning ki aur decipline ki zarurat h am I right? And sorry to say this janwar humse zada organised h, footpath par log gadiya chala rae h haina?"

"Hum apni puri koshish kr rahe h mam"

"Are you?"

"Yes mam"

"How?"

"Hum petrolling Badha rahe hain, one way implement kr rahe h, zada signals laga rahe h, logo m awareness lane ke liye traffic aads chala rahe h"

"And what about fine?" She said sipping some tea

"mam?"

" fine kese charge krte h?"

"Without driving licence ke liye 500 , two, three, aur four wheeler le liye"

"10000 kr dijiye"

Bhaskar "mam?"

"10000" Anika said while looking at Bhaskar

Traffic officer "signal jumping pe 10000 mam"

"20000"

"Driving krte time phone use krne pr 1000"

"25000, yes 25000" she said again looking at Bhaskar, Bhaskar give her a unbelievable look

"Crash driving aur rules break krne pr 1000"

"30000, aap inn naye rules ki nai list banake mujhe dijiye hum vo issue krenge, Mr. Bhaskar kya kehte h use? "

"GO mam"

"Yes GO issue kr denge"

Bhaskar "mam ek baar fir se soch kr aur logo se disscus kr lete to-"

"Ab tk yahi krte aaye thae haina, kuch badla? "

"Par dubara sochna zaruri h na mam, ase to log ghabra jayenge"

"Jab se hum yaha reh rahe h hume to ek baar bhi nhi laga na 'dar' we live in a society, haha har kisi ke man m dar aur zimmedari hona zaroori h."

Saying this she left the meeting hall and walk towards her cabin.

Arwan was shocked seeing this new look of Anika.

He had heard she had become the Chief Minister but seeing her in person, in charge of the room, and dictating terms with such confidence was something else. He couldn't believe the transformation she had gone through. The love he thought had faded was now burning brighter than ever, but he knew there was no place for personal feelings in their professional lives.

The soft girl is now a strong woman, Arwan thought as he watched Anika leave the conference room. Her confidence and authority left no doubt that she was in charge. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride mixed with his pain. Despite their tumultuous past, he knew he had to respect the position she held. He waited for the room to clear before approaching Mr. Bhaskar, her PA

"I want to talk to ani- CM, it's urgent," he said firmly.

Mr. Bhaskar raised an eyebrow. "Do you have an appointment, Mr. Raghuwanshi?"

"No, but it's regarding something important," Arwan replied, trying to keep his voice calm.

Mr. Bhaskar looked at him skeptically before nodding. "Very well, I'll see if she can spare a few minutes."

While Arwan waited, he couldn't help but replay the last four years in his mind. The regret of not fighting for Anika when she needed him the most was like a constant echo in his thoughts. He had thrown away their love for his career, and now, here he was, standing in the corridors of power where she reigned supreme.

Mr. Bhaskar returned" sorry you can't, she is busy"

Arwan didn't said anything and walk towards anika's cabin Bhaskar tried to stop him but he is already in front of anika's cabin, "what is happening here!?" Anika stood up from her chair, "mam i tried to stop him but he-" Bhaskar tried to defend himself, "Bhaskar you can leave" anika sat down on her chair and arwan started to walk towards her chair

she looked at him straight in the eye and said "You know the protocol, Mr. Raghuvanshi right?"

Arwan nodded, "Anika, I need to talk to you, it's urgent," he said, his voice low and earnest.

"Firstly Call me CM madam or Miss Chauhan Mr. Raghuvanshi I'm not your friend aur girlfriend, and second thing i don't have time for this shit and i would like to keep my personal and private life separate," Anika said, her voice cold and firm.

Arwan felt a pang of anger, but he knew she was right. "I'm sorry," he began, "I know this isn't the place, but it's about something that happened four years ago, and it can't wait any longer, i want to clear the things Ani- CM mam"

"I don't want to hear anything right now Mr. Raghuvanshi, aur kehne ko bacha hi kya h ho gya jo hona tha uss din ab nhi sunnna hume kuch please leave"

Her voice was cold as ice and her eyes spoke of a pain that had not fully healed. Arwan knew he had to tread carefully if he wanted to get through to her. "Please, Anika, just five minutes," he begged.

For a moment, Anika hesitated, the mention of their shared past resonating deep within her. She knew that ignoring him would only prolong the inevitable. With a sigh, she nodded. "Five minutes, Mr. Raghuwanshi," she said, gesturing for him to sit.
