The door to their penthouse apartment clicked shut, and Jennie leaned her back against it, closing her eyes with a deep sigh.

She had barely taken two steps inside when Taehyung wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressing a soft kiss to her temple.

β€œYou did great today, Jagiya,” he murmured, his voice soothing.

Jennie leaned into him, but her heart was heavy. "Yeah... but I hate this," she whispered. "I hate pretending like we’re strangers to the world."

Taehyung turned her around gently to face him, cupping her cheeks.

β€œI know, baby,” he said softly, his thumb caressing her skin. β€œI hate it too.”

**The Weight of Secrecy**

Despite their cute married life, there was a part of their world that always felt like a storm waiting to hitβ€”the public eye.

Jennie had been a part of BLACKPINK for years; Taehyung was BTS’s shining star. Both of them were under constant surveillance β€” every move, every smile, every word they said was analyzed.

And though they were married, no one knew.

Every time they stepped outside, they had to pretend. Pretend they were just colleagues. Pretend there wasn’t a home they shared, a bed they slept in, or kisses stolen behind locked doors.

Jennie walked into the living room, flopping down on the couch. "You know... I couldn’t even hug you when I saw you with Irene today," she said bitterly. "But everyone else gets to look at you like you’re available."

Taehyung sat beside her, pulling her into his lap. "You are the only one I look at, Jennie."

"I know, Tae," she whispered. "But sometimes, I wish we didn’t have to hide."

**The Online Storm**

Taehyung reached over for his phone and quickly opened Twitter β€” a habit he couldn't shake off even though Jennie begged him to stop reading comments.

Sure enough, #TaehyungAndIrene was trending.

Some fans were loving their "chemistry" on set.
Others were shipping them.

And then there were the toxic fans, the ones who always somehow found a way to drag Jennie into things.

"If Jennie sees this, she must be dying of jealousy lol"
"Imagine thinking you can compete with Irene, Jennie lmao"
"Taehyung deserves better, period."

His hands clenched around the phone.

"Taehyung," Jennie said quietly, noticing the dark look in his eyes.

He looked up at her, swallowing hard. "They’re talking about you again," he said, voice low and tense.

Jennie forced a smile, even though she felt like crying. "They always do, Tae. I’m used to it."

"But I’m not," he snapped, standing up and pacing around the room. "I hate this. I hate that we can’t just say, 'Hey, we’re married, she’s my wife, stop talking about her like that!'"

Jennie stood and walked over to him, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "If we go public now, Tae... you know it will get worse, right?"

"I know," he admitted, taking a deep breath and pulling her into a tight hug. "But sometimes, I wish I could just scream it to the world."

**Small Moments of Peace**

Later that night, they lay in bed, the city lights glowing softly through the curtains.

Taehyung was tracing small circles on Jennie’s arm, his expression unusually serious.

"Jagiya," he whispered.

"Hmm?" she murmured sleepily.

"Do you think... we’ll ever get to live normally? Like go on dates without hiding? Go grocery shopping without masks and hats?"

Jennie turned to look at him, her heart aching. "I don’t know, Tae. But as long as I’m with you, I don’t care where we are."

His eyes softened, and he leaned down to kiss her gently.

"I’m sorry I can’t give you that kind of freedom," he whispered against her lips.

"You give me you," she whispered back. "That’s all I need."

**Their Secret World**

The next morning, they sat together on the couch, sharing breakfastβ€”pancakes Taehyung had made while humming love songsβ€”and watching cartoons, something they loved doing when the world outside felt too heavy.

Jennie was curled into his side, laughing at something silly on the screen.

"This is our little world, Tae," she said softly. "Maybe we can’t tell everyone yet, but here... we’re safe."

Taehyung kissed the top of her head. "Yeah, our secret world."

And for now, that was enough.
