weakly in her hands. "Iβ€”I think I canβ€”"

"No," Dean cut her off, his voice firm. "No magic this time. This is gonna need a more hands-on approach."

He dug through his duffel bag, pulling out a small first aid kit. But as he fumbled for the needle and thread, he realized somethingβ€”the thread was gone. "You've gotta be kidding me," he muttered under his breath, frustration flaring.

Jovi glanced at him, her face tight with pain. "What now?"

Dean's eyes scanned their surroundings, desperate for somethingβ€”anythingβ€”that could help. Then his gaze fell on Jovi's ears, where her climber earrings, delicate silver strands that followed the curve of her ears, glinted in the dim light.

"Your earrings," Dean said suddenly, pointing at them.

Jovi frowned. "What about them?"

Dean didn't hesitate. "They're silver. We can use them as thread."

Jovi blinked, her eyes widening. "Dad, are you serious?"

Dean shot her a look. "You got any better ideas, princess? We're in Purgatory. This ain't exactly a sterile environment."

Jovi winced, but she nodded, realizing he was right. "Fine," she muttered, reaching up with shaky hands to remove the earrings. Dean took them from her, his hands moving quickly and efficiently as he bent the silver so he had four pieces of metal to sow the wound together.

"Hold still," he ordered, his voice gruff but laced with concern.

Jovi gritted her teeth, biting down on her lip as she let out a cry of pain while Dean began to stitch up the wound. The silver was cool against her skin, and the pain was sharp, but she forced herself to stay still, focusing on the sound of her dad's steady breathing, fisting the dirt beside her.

Dean worked fast, his hands steady despite the grim situation. "You did good back there," he muttered, not taking his eyes off the wound as he pulled the silver thread through her skin.

Jovi let out a shaky breath, tears falling from hard eyes. "Didn't feel like it."

Dean glanced up at her briefly, his expression softening for a moment. "You saved my ass. You did more than good."

Jovi managed a weak smile, though it quickly faded as another wave of pain shot through her leg. She clenched her fists, trying to keep herself from crying out but failing miserably. Dean's hands never faltered, his focus entirely on stitching her up, sealing the wound with the makeshift silver thread.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Dean tied off the last stitch and leaned back, wiping the sweat from his forehead. He took off his leather jacket pulling off his flannel wrapping it around her leg making her wince once more. "That'll hold for now," he said, his voice tight. "But we need to find a way out of here soon. You're gonna need proper care."

Jovi nodded, her body sagging with exhaustion. "Thanks, Dad," she muttered, her voice barely a whisper.

Dean gave her a small, tired smile. "Don't mention it, kid. Let's just get the hell outta here."

As they stood, Dean wrapped an arm around Jovi's waist, supporting her weight as they moved away from the scene of the fight. The werewolf was dead, but Purgatory was never quiet for long. More threats would come. But for now, they had survived.

Jovi glanced down at her leg, where the silver thread of her earrings shimmered faintly in the dim light. She could still feel the power inside her, the raw, dangerous energy that had saved them more than once. But right now, all she cared about was getting her and her dad out of this nightmare alive.

One step at a time.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 π’…π’‚π’“π’Œπ’π’†π’”π’” 𝒐𝒇 π’‘π’–π’“π’ˆπ’‚π’•π’π’“π’š pressed in around them, the oppressive weight of it settling into Jovi's bones. She and Dean had found a moment of respite, hidden beneath the gnarled roots of a massive, twisted tree that provided just enough cover from the monsters that roamed nearby. They'd been walking for what felt like days without sleep, every step a battle against the fatigue, the fear, and the endless hunt for survival.

Jovi sat against the tree, her injured leg stretched out in front of her, Dean sitting beside her, his back leaning against the trunk. She was tired, more than tired β€” her entire body ached with a weariness that went deeper than just the physical pain. But what weighed on her the most was the gnawing fear that had been growing inside her ever since they'd ended up here.

She glanced over at her dad, who was silently sharpening his machete, his face set in that determined, no-nonsense expression he always wore when things got tough. He didn't show it, not often, but Jovi could see it in the lines of his face, the tightness around his eyes. Purgatory was getting to him, too.

Jovi hesitated for a moment, biting her lip before she finally spoke. Her voice was low, barely more than a whisper. "Dad... what if we don't get out of here?"

Dean paused, the sound of the blade against the stone stopping abruptly as he looked over at her. His eyes softened just a fraction, and he set the machete down, turning his full attention to her. "Hey, don't talk like that," he said, his voice steady but gentle. "We're getting out of here. I promise you that."

Jovi shook her head, her fingers nervously twisting the fabric of her torn jeans. "But... how can you be so sure? This place... it's relentless. Every time we take a breath, something's out there, waiting to rip us apart. We can't keep doing this forever, Dad. What ifβ€”"

Dean cut her off, his voice firmer now. "We're not doing this forever, Jovi. You hear me? We're getting out of here. I don't care how long it takes or what we have to do. We've made it through worse."

Jovi met his gaze, her green eyes wide and filled with uncertainty. "I've never seen anything worse than this," she admitted softly, her voice trembling. "I'm just... I'm scared. What if we get trapped here? What if I screw up and get you hurt? Or worse, killed?"

Dean's expression softened again, and he let out a quiet sigh. He shifted closer to her, resting a hand on her shoulder, his thumb gently rubbing the fabric of her jacket. "Listen to me, kiddo," he said, his voice low but full of warmth. "You are not gonna screw up. You've been kicking ass this whole time, alright? You saved me back there with that werewolf. You've been saving me over and over again. I'm proud of you."

Jovi blinked, a small lump forming in her throat at his words. "You... you're proud of me?"

"Damn right I am," Dean said, his green eyes locking with hers. "You've been handling this place like a damn pro. I know it's not easy, and I know it's scary, but you're tougher than you think. Way tougher."

Jovi's eyes flickered with surprise. He hadn't been viewing her powers as the most positive thing ever so hearing that he was proud of her for how she was using her powers meant a lot. Jovi leaned into her dad's words, her voice soft. "I don't know if I'm that tough."

Dean's smile was small but genuine. "Oh, you are. You've been through a lot, Jovi. More than any kid should have to, and you're still standing. Still fighting. That's tough." He paused, glancing up at the jagged, endless sky of Purgatory. "I know this place gets to you. It gets to me, too. But we've gotta keep our heads. That's how we survive. One foot in front of the other."

Jovi swallowed hard, her fingers trembling slightly as she thought about the days ahead β€” how long it would take, how many more fights they'd have to face. "What if we don't find a way out?" she whispered. "What if we die here?"

Dean's expression turned serious, his jaw tightening for a brief moment before he sighed and looked back at her, his eyes soft but steady. "Jovi, we've been fighting the odds our whole lives. Hell, I've been to Hell, Heaven, and everything in between. And now we're in this place... but you know what? Every time I thought it was over, we found a way. You, me, your uncle Samβ€”we always find a way."

He gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze, leaning in slightly. "And if it comes down to it, if we don't make it out of here... well, at least I'm with you. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. You're the most important thing in my life, Jovi. You always have been."

Jovi felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes, but she blinked them away, trying to keep her voice steady. "I just... I don't want to lose you, Dad."

Dean's gaze softened even more, and he pulled her into a tight hug, wrapping his arms around her. She melted into the embrace, her cheek resting against his chest as she let out a shaky breath.

"You're not gonna lose me, Jovi," Dean whispered, his voice rough but comforting. "Not if I can help it. I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere. We're gonna get out of here. We're gonna see your uncle Sam again and Salem, and you're gonna have a normal life. Or, as normal as life can get with the Winchesters."

Jovi let out a soft, tired laugh at that, her grip on him tightening. "Yeah... normal for us means hunting monsters and running from demons."

Dean chuckled, his hand gently rubbing her back. "Yeah, well, maybe we'll take a vacation after this. Something easy. Hit up the beach, get some sun, drink a few margaritas."

Jovi pulled back slightly, looking up at him with a small smile. "You and margaritas? That I gotta see."

Dean grinned, his eyes sparkling with a bit of the old mischievous light. "Hey, don't knock it till you try it, kiddo."

For a moment, the weight of Purgatory seemed to lift just a little, and Jovi felt a small flicker of hope. She knew it wasn't over β€” they were still trapped in this nightmare, and there were more monsters out there waiting for them. But with her dad by her side, she knew she could keep going. She had to.

Dean ruffled her hair affectionately, his smile softening as he looked down at her. "We've got this, Jovi. No matter what. Winchester rule number one: we don't give up."

Jovi nodded, her heart feeling a little lighter, even if her body was still exhausted. "We don't give up," she echoed softly.

Dean gave her a final squeeze before standing, offering his hand to help her up. "Alright, Angel. Let's move. This place ain't gonna beat us."

Jovi took his hand, wincing as she stood but feeling a renewed sense of determination. Her powers crackled faintly at her fingertips as she looked out into the darkness ahead. Purgatory might have been brutal, unforgiving, and terrifying, but she wasn't facing it alone. Not with her dad by her side.

And as long as they were together, she could believe that maybe, just maybe, they really would find a way out.

π‘±π’π’—π’Š π’π’Šπ’Žπ’‘π’†π’… π’ƒπ’†π’‰π’Šπ’π’… 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒂𝒅 as they chased a vampire through the woods of purgatory, she winced every time she put weight onto her not fully heeled leg. It was slowly healing up, her powers were the only thing keeping it from becoming infected. Dean suddenly came to a stop making Jovi pause her breathing unsteady. His eyes darted around their surroundings and after a moment a rustling noise came from beside them. Jovi and Dean shared a look before taking off once more. Once they'd caught up to the vampire, the creature came to a stop sniffing the air before he turned around coming face to face with the two Winchesters. Dean didn't waste a second as he charged at the vampire hitting its arm, making him drop his weapon, then pushes him hard against a tree and holds a knife to his throat.

Jovi stood a couple feet behind him watching with hard eyes.

"Take a breath. Calm down. Where's the angel?" Dean hissed at him, the vamp smirked with a chuckle "You're him. The human." His eyes then found the young girl "and the little witch right?"

Sapphire energy swirled in Jovi's eyes in warning as Dean shoved the vampire against the tree once more asking more forcefully "Where's the angel?"

"I don't know." The vampire said making Dean hum before plunging his knife into the vampire's arm, pinning him to the tree making the creature cry out. Dean then picked up the vamps weapon and beheads him with it. Jovi nodded in approval unbothered by the casual beheading "nice" she muttered earning a tired look from her father but then a second vampires tackled Dean to the ground.

Jovi gasped her powers flaring up she threw a hand out, the blue wisps surrounding the creature. But just as she lifted the creature off of her father
a large figure appeared, flinging himself at the vampire and beheading him. Jovi stared with wide eyes and disbelief, what had just happened? Dean scrambled up standing in front of his daughter shielding her from the new arrival.

The large man turned to look at the two Winchesters with his vampire teeth descended. As he met their eyes retracting his teeth. "What, no thanks for saving your hide?" He questioned them, Dean glared at him "Sure. I won't shove this up your ass." Jovi stayed quiet trying to be ready for when this vampire attacks.

"Mm. Awful strange way to punch your meal ticket, friend. I got something you need." He proposed while they all walked in a slow circle all ready for a fight. "Yeah, what's that?" Dean asked still staring daggers at the vamp.

"A way out."

Jovi paused, hope filling her chest. A way out? Was there such thing? She hoped so.

Dean laughed mockingly "Even a dental apocalypse like you knows there's no such thing."

The vampire didn't laugh "There is if you're both human. God has made it so. At least, that's the rumor."

"Bull." Dean said his voice still not believing the vamp as their walking finally came to a stop.

"Suit yourself. Maybe you've gone native. Maybe you like being man meat for every Tom, Dick, and Harry. But I bet you're little girl don't." The vamps eyes landed on Jovi who clenched her jaw because she knew he was right, although she liked being able to use her powers without any consequences she didn't like being in his place. She didn't even remember when she'd last slept, eaten or drank anything but here they were on an astral plane they had no need for those things yet Jovi still felt the loss of them.

Dean glanced at her momentarily also knowing he was right so he looked back at the creature. "Prove it."

"Nah. You're either in or you're out."

"So you just want to guide us out of Purgatory out of the goodness of your undead heart?" Dean questioned, eyes narrowed on him.

"More or less." The vamp replied, Jovi looked up at her dad unsure if he was buying anything the vamp was proposing. "What's in it for you?" Dean asked.

"I'm hopping a ride."

Jovi tilted her head in confusion pulling the same expression as her dad who muttered "What?"

"It's a human portal, jackass. Only humans can pass through. I show you the door, you hump my soul to the other side."

"So you're looking for a soul train?" Dean responded but Jovi was still trying to figure out what the man meant.

"Sure. If that's what you're into." The vamp responded with a subtle shrug.

"And how do I know this isn't a set-up? How do I know we ain't gonna end up like your friend over there?" Dean said gesturing to the corpse on the ground. "He was my friend. Now you are. First rule of Purgatory, kid. You can't trust nobody."

"That's comforting" Jovi commented looking at the vamp with a deadpan expression.

"You just asked us to trust you."

The vamp nodded confidently. "You see? You're getting it now."

Dean pointed the homemade blade at the vampire taking cautious steps towards him still making sure his daughter stayed behind him "Hmm. First we find the angel."

"Mm, fours a crowd, chief." The vampire said looking out into the distance with a clenched jaw.

"Well, hey. Either you're in or you're out." Dean said smugly as he rested the blade against his shoulder, the vampire then smiled. Jovi didn't know how she felt about this negotiation but she knew she'd be keeping a close eye on the vampire.

They'd cornered yet another monster on their mission to track down Cas, Jovi could feel herself becoming less and less human. Here she was fighting for survival everyday and every night and that anticipation and instinct was using her powers to a level that she'd never used them before, she felt like her powers had a mind of their own. Like they were controlling her, flaring up before she'd even found the next monster. In some ways it was a good thing but in others she felt like she was losing control.

Their next monster was sprawled up against a tree with the vampire who's named they'd learnt was Benny stood over him while Dean turned in a slow circle with his weapon in his hand, Jovi stood beside him with her arms crossed over her chest eyeing the creature.

"I don't think he knows, man." Being stated turning to look back at Dean who then strolled over the creature kneeling in front of him "Oh, he knows. Where's the angel?"

The monster still didn't respond, so Dean turned looking over at Jovi sending her a nod. The girl stepped forward her eyes lighting up their dangerous sapphire colour and then the creature grunted in pain a gasp leaving its lips. "You feel that?" Dean questioned him, Jovi's magic was squeezing the creatures heart from the inside making it incredibly painful for the creature who then gasped out "There's a stream."

Dean held up a finger to Jovi telling her to pause for a second, so the girl let her powers die down letting the creature catch its breath. "Go on."

The monster looked between the girl and Dean. "It runs through a clearing not far from here. I'll show you."

Jovi stepped towards him kneeling in front of him looking into his eyes her own flaring up once more threatening to continue his torture, there was something so haunting about the way she stared at him. The little head tilt paired with a psychotic smirk and her glowing eyes...it was enough to give a grown monster nightmares. "How about you just tell us?"

The monster stared into the dangerous sapphire energy that swirled around her irises with fear it didn't take long for him to spill his guts. "Three days journey. Follow the stream. There's a clearing. You'll find your angel there." Jovi glanced at her father who then looked behind him at Benny, who raises an eyebrow.

Dean turned back to the monster "You know what, Mutt? I believe you."

Dean sent Jovi a nod, her hand hovered over the creatures chest, sapphire energy surrounding it and then in a blink of an eye its heart shot into her hand. The creatures eyes were wide as its corpse fell to the forest floor, Jovi didn't even flinch, this was a normal sight for her these days. Jovi glanced down at the blood coated heart in her hand with emotionless eyes, before purgatory this would've freaked her out to the point where she would've gagged but now? It didn't even faze her. Her carelessly tossed the heart behind her like it was nothing, wiping her blood covered hand on the creatures clothes before standing up.

Because he could hopefully fix up her leg and 2. Because he'd left them in the middle of a war zone and she likes to hold a grudge. This time though she thinks it's valid. Dean came to a sudden stop as he called out "Cas?!"

Jovi stepped around her dad spotting the trench coat wearing angel washing his hands and face at a stream. He looked...rough to say the least. His coat was all dirty and he now had a full on beard which she didn't like...

Cas stood up turning around spotting them "Dean, Jovi"

"Cas." Dean laughed as he pulled Cas into a hug, Jovi awkwardly shifted on her feet "hey Cas"
