Mikey leaned over the girl's unconscious face, examining her features

'Why does she seem so familiar..' he couldn't figure out where else has he seen her.

I finally open my eyes, a light piercing my vision, I start to get a hint of what was in front of me. And what I saw..

Athena? No this was a person with long blonde hair leaning towards my face.

"Mum?" I said until my vision got better.

"Mum my ass. Do I look like a mum to you?" the deep voice said.

"M-MICHAEL JACKSON?"

"FUCK OFF WITH YOUR MICHAEL JACKSON" he mockingly snapped back at me

I got flustered when I realised how close he was to my face.

"First thing in the morning, I wake up after a terrible night and all I see is a kinky man standing on top of me blocking the mesmerising view I would have had from the morning sun"

"Well, I mean. Why do you need the sun when you have me?"

'Did he really just say that?' Now I really didn't have any words to say back.

"Stop flirting you too, get yo asses down"  a familiar voice came from my door frame.

"Y/N! Morning, are you feeling better?" Makima appeared from nowhere, snicking her head from the door

"Wow not even saying good morning to the best person in the world 😐" I directed it to Mr. Gojo who was now wiggling his eyebrows at me.

It was always like this, since my mum surprisingly disappeared from this earth without a trace, Makima was always acting like that overprotective mother, while Gojo was like that cool father that let you sneak out when your mum said no. Loved it tho.

I pushed Mikey down from my bed so I could go change. My head was still a bit dizzy.

"is this how you treat the person that saved you, Miss Y/N?" Mikey directed it himself, crossing his arms.

Oh right. Last night. I nearly forgot. What even happened? All what I could remember was that I finally found the true feline thief, that turned out to be an obsessive brat that somehow knew more than he needed to.

"Oh, so you were the one that saved me...we shall speak after I change" I took my clothes and went into the closet.

Mikey was spinning on my chair eating some popcorn he found on my table while I sat on the floor. Seriously?

"Speak. I need to know what happened to me last night"

"Sheeeeesh very bossy. I like it" he spinned once more.

"Could you please take this seriously? How did you find me?"

He sat on the floor in front of me. Finally, he was ready to get something out of that mouth of his.

"Athena found me. I was walking down the street with Ken-chin when I saw Athena running towards me. It was unusual to see her without you. I thought she got kidnapped again until she started moving very agitated dragging my leg.
So I followed her.
The next thing I saw was you pinned down to the wall by a familiar face I saw. I knew he wasn't the brightest man so I ran and punched him"

"You know Kisaki?" my mood went dark

"Yeah, a fucker. My biggest enemy you could say"

"Damn beef" I paused for a second "What happened after I fell unconscious?"

"I played the charming prince coming to help his princess in distress."

I jokingly rolled my eyes, letting out a chuckle.

"Ken-chin came with his motorcycle after. Soon we realised we couldn't take you on a motorcycle while unconscious. So I told Ken-chin to take Athena while I carried you."

"Wait Athena rode a motorcycle?"

"Yes. She was quite the pro"

"I decided to take you to your home since I knew where you lived. Your parents, or I mean who are they even? They look a bit too young to be your parents"

I stuttered for a moment.

"They're my bodyguards, or you could say guardians precisely. Long story..but they were my mother's right hand"

*wueueueu flashback*

"mummy where are you?"

the 7 yo me was wandering around the empty parking lot sobbing after I couldn't find my mother anymore.

"why did you leave me?"

Tears fell down my cheek when a hand reached me.

"It's okay. Don't cry" I turned to see Makina and Gojo kneeling next to me.

"Mummy went on a faaar journey, we don't know when she'll come back, but we are here for you"

those words enlightened me. I finally found a reason to light up the torch inside me, to let it burn deeper than it did before. I was safe.

I knew Makina and Gojo for a long time. They took me in after my mum disappeared.

"We promised her that we will take care of Y/N. I don't know what on Earth she's thinking leaving now, but we promised." said Gojo to Makima.

They were Azure's (my mum) right hand. Since she was the best motorcycle driver, and a very known gang leader, Gojo and Makina were always there to assist her.

Since my mum left, they were left in charge of me. They never let me do anything dangerous. It's like they felt sorry for not my mum not being there for me.

'Her mother's right hand? We've got something very serious right here. Who knows what links this girl might have, she sure has peaked my interests.' thought Mikey while staring deep into my soul

"You look like you're going to eat my soul"

He snapped out of his transit "maybe I will"

"Anyways, after that, that guy, Gojo, he let me stay with you until you woke up"

"Damnit Gojo"

~meanwhile downstairs~

*sneezes*

"Did you catch a cold?" said Makima while cooking breakfast

"Like hell I did" murmured Gojo

~back to Y/N's room~

"Oh shoot, I'll be late to school" I rushed down to get my breakfast while Mikey ran after me

"You go to school?"

"Yes, I believe any 17 yo would go to school. Besides you as I can see"

"School is not my brightest point"

"I wonder what is"

He suddenly grabbed my hand and turned me around. I met his dark chocolate eyes. So close.

"To make a girl flustered" he said with a smile while closing his eyes.

He backed down and let me get out.

"Well anyways.." I paused, searching for the courage in me. "T-thank you..for last night. I didn't know what I would have done without you.." I said acting like a tsundere finally confessing her thankfulness. "Anything you need, I will make it up to you"

"Hah. That's what a prince is for" I could see his little smirk forming at the edges of his lips.

"Go home, you're not paying rent"

"Don't worry sunshine I will" he smirked once again while I rolled my eyes and rushed out the door.

I don't usually ride my bike to school, but today was an exception, I was going to be late if I didn't get my legs moving

I reached the school gates when I heard a familiar voice calling out to me

"QUICK Y/N! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" I heard Hina shout while I ran for my life towards her.

"Did you oversleep? That's unusual"

"Y-yeaaa..." I neglected telling her that in fact I happened to get assaulted then spent my night with an annoying shrimp that I barely knew.

I entered the class when I saw Emma waving her hands at me.

I didn't really know her. Until this semester, we where in different classes. I got closer with her through Hina, and I'm still getting to know her.

"Hey we should do a girl's night tomorrow, we got the day off anyway" suggested Emma.

"Oh to have a girl's night. I always dreamt of doing that. Imagine how cool I would look doing interactive things" I said while blinking my eyelashes persistently

"We could do my house, it's only me and my brother for this week anyways" offered Emma

"Sounds good to me" said Hina

"Oh you have a brother? Didn't know about that" maybe I could shoot my shot.

"His name is Manjiro. Same age as us"

'I'm definitely shooting my shot' knowing how beautiful and amazing Emma was, I would expect her brother to be somewhere close, unless they were direct opposites.

"I bet she's wondering if he's hot right now" mocked Hina

"H-huh? No way, why would I"

"He's an annoying midget that only knows how to eat dorayaki and never get home at time" scuffed Emma
