"YOU WANT ANYTHING TO DRINK?" MIKE OFFERED, JUST HIM AND THE TWINS AT THE WHEELER ESTATE. Sev crept around the place, separating from his sister as he walked into the kitchen, Mike jumping. "Do you want anything?" He asked, Sev seeming to notice him before looking down at his stomach. "Oh yeah, breakfast. El ate yours." Sev's head tilted as he watched Mike open a drawer. "What do you want?" He asked, Sev pointing towards a long packet. "Toast?" Mike asked, Sev eyebrows knotting up as he shook his head, pointing to another packet. "Oh, pancakes?" Mike asked, picking up the packet that Sev was interested in, the boy nodding. "Okay... there you go." Mike spoke, Sev taking the pancake given to him and taking a small bite before his eyes lit up, eating the rest. Mike only nodded awkwardly as Sev walked past him to go see El.

El was observing a large box with two sticks coming out of the top, Sev confused as he swallowed the rest of his pancake, observing it too. "This is my living room. Its mostly just for watching TV. Nice, right? It's a 22-inch. That's like ten times bigger than Dustin's." Mike spoke, Sev noticing El walk away, bored. Her twin brother stayed where he was, however, twisting one of the sticks between his fingers as Mike followed El. "Seven." El called softly, Mike turning to see the boy walk up to her without a word, pointing to a girl in the photos. "Pretty?" She asked, Sev shrugging. "I guess. That's my sister Nancy and that's baby Holly." Mike introduced, Sev looking to a picture of a small child. "Those are my parents." He continued, Sev observing the photos emotionless and staring at Mike's photo. Mike noticed this and smiled at the boy's back. "I hate that picture of me." He spoke, Sev turning around quickly as Mike nodded.

Sev nodded back awkwardly, his demeanour seeming to falter before nodding with no emotion, walking to his sister as Mike cringed a bit. El lead him to a chair, Sev thinking it looked pretty comfortable. "That's our La-Z-Boy." Mike shrugged, walking up to the twins. "It's where my Dad sleeps." He grinned, Sev poking the chair and letting his finger sink into the soft material. "You can try it if you want." Mike offered to El, Sev looking to her as she was already looking to him. He just nodded before walking off to the window, El looking back to Mike as he nodded. Sev checked outside before turning back quickly when he heard his sister yelp. The two didn't seem to notice Sev as Mike laughed, El laughing nervously. Sev gave them a small smile as his sister smiled. As long as she was happy, he was happy.

"See, fun, right?" Mike spoke, El nodding as Mike reclined it back up. "You wanna have a go, Sev?" Mike asked, Sev stared before nodding, El smiling and getting off the chair. She sat Sev down giddily, Sev smiling before looking to Mike. "Three, two, one." He counted down, worried when he noticed the boy's tight grip on the arms of the chair, almost ripping it. "There we go, it's fun." Mike spoke with the same grin, Sev nodding as his demeanour dropped. "Fun." He whispered, not even letting the chair go back to normal before climbing off of it. El held onto the boy's forearm as he gulped, Mike putting the chair back awkwardly.

"READY, YOU ARE?" MIKE ASKED IN A SILLY VOICE, PLACING A GREEN FIGURE ON THE TABLE BETWEEN THE THREE. "His name's Yoda. He can use the Force to move things with his mind, like this." Mike spoke with too much passion, Sev looking to El. "Yoda..." He trailed off, Mike nodding to him obliviously as El smirked to her brother. "Yeah, he can do this." Mike spoke, the twins watching as Mike pushed everything off of the board, making a sound to go with it. Sev watched as El got up again, Mike showing Sev more figures as he thought the boy was interested. Which he actually was. "This is my dinosaur, Rory. Look, he has a speaker in his mouth so he can roar." Sev flinched when the figure roared, Mike smiling at him before turning to El, who wasn't there. Mike got up, leaving Sev with his figures to go up to El, the girl observing more photos herself.

Sev shuffled to the side, picking up 'Yoda' and observing it. The green person was short and wore a thick, cream jacket. His ears were long and pointy, Sev's face scrunching up. Is this what people with powers looked like? Sev did not want to look like that- "You know Will?" Sev looked to the two, them bent over a photo. Sev placed Yoda on the table gently before sandwiching his sister between him and Mike. "Did you guys see him? Last night? On the road?" Mike asked quickly, Sev looking over the picture before tyres were heard. The three looked to the window immediately, Mike's face dropping when he saw who it was. "We gotta go." He spoke, rushing back to the twins as he dragged them out of his bedroom, them following confused. "I brought pizza and macaroni." Sev heard a woman's voice. She sounded kind too, Mike obviously not thinking the same as he pushed the twins back up the stairs.

"Ted? Is that you?" She shouted, Mike rushing the twins back into his room. "Just me, Mom!" Mike yelled, his Mom very confused. "What are you doing home, Mike?" She asked, Mike guiding Sev and El to the closet of his room. "One second, Mom!" He yelled back, opening the door. "In here. I'll be right back, okay?" Mike asked, El terrified of the small dark place as Sev flinched away from it. "You guys have to get in, or my Mom, she'll find you. Do you understand?" He asked quickly, Sev sighing and nodding, trying to be brave for El. "Eleven." He spoke softly, the girl looking to him as he nodded. "I won't tell her about you two, I promise." Mike spoke, El turning to him confused. "Promise?" She asked, Mike not wasting any time. "It means something you can't break. Ever." Mike explained quickly, Sev nodding slowly as Mike's Mom called his name.

"Please?" Mike asked, El looking to Sev before nodding and getting in. Mike waited for Sev to go in after before shutting the door quickly. El's breathing picked up quickly, Sev holding her hand tightly as they both looked around the room, taking in the darkness.

"THIS IS THE LAST TIME, SUBJECT SEVEN." DR BRENNER SPOKE AS HE CIRCLED SEVEN'S CHAIR. The entire room was white, the only juxtaposing colours being silver or black. "Kill that man." Dr Brenner spoke, his hands on the back of Seven's chair as they both watched the man whimper. "Please." He spoke, Seven's lips trembling. "Come on, Seven. Kill. Him" Dr Brenner whispered, Seven keeping the back of his head against his chair. "Please, no-" "Quiet." Dr Brenner snapped at the man, him sat vulnerable ahead of Seven. The reason this was going on was because Seven was already strong enough to be one of the soldiers that Dr Brenner needed, him on the next stage as Eleven was still going through the potential type tests. "Time's ticking, Subject Seven." Dr Brenner continued, Seven starting to cry. "No." He spoke, the man's face dropping as Dr Brenner looked to the child.

"No?" He asked, his voice ringing through Seven's ears like torture. "No." Seven spoke, breaking out crying as Dr Brenner sighed disappointingly. "How degrading, Seven." He spoke, nodding towards the large two way mirror before the bulky door opened with a pop, Seven seeing two men come in, geared up. As Seven was more powerful than his sister, the workers geared up for whenever he denied, hoping it didn't end negatively. "No..." Seven let out again, sniffling before the men grabbed each of his arms. "I'm so disappointed, Seven." Dr Brenner sighed, Seven looking to him confused as he let the men drag the boy away. "No! Papa!" Seven yelled, Eleven perking up from her bed. "Seven?" She asked, going to the hole between their rooms so she could hear the conversation. Seven's door was open as he was out. "Eleven!" The girl flinched as her brother called her name, her face contorting into one of worry. The men picked Seven up slightly, the boy scrambling in his spot as Dr Brenner watched him with his hands in his pockets.

"Eleven!" He screamed again, the girl flinching again. "Seven? Seven!" She yelled back, seeing bulky uniforms and her crying brother as he was dragged past the open door. "Seven!" Eleven screamed, banging on the wall as Brenner looked to her door for a minute, immediately looking back when Seven yelled. "No!" He screamed, the two men clipping something around his neck. The boy cried more, feeling the torture device press over his scars. "Papa!" Seven called weakly, letting himself be dragged as he heard his sister's shouts before crying out when the collar started to heat up. "This is what happens when you deny me, Seven." Dr Brenner shouted slightly, Seven choking as the rods pressed into the side of his neck, heating up quickly. "Stop-" "Put him in!" Dr Brenner yelled, the two men nodding as Seven choked for his breath, clawing at the collar and his neck. Eleven's shouts silenced when the heavy door slammed shut, enclosing Seven in the soundproof room.

The boy kept scratching until he felt blood-

"ELEVEN?" SEV ASKED SOFTLY, HEARING HIS SISTER'S SOFT CRY AS HIS FACE DROPPED, WRAPPING HIS ARMS AROUND HER QUICKLY. "It's okay..." Sev assured, the two sinking down to the floor as El leaned into her brother's shoulder, crying as Sev tried not to cry himself. He had to act strong in front of his little sister. Even if they were only two minutes apart, Sev still had to protect and fight for the girl. "El? Sev? Is everything okay-" Mike as cut off when he saw El's face, the girl's cheeks red as Sev held her frame gently. "Mike." El spoke, Sev sighing as Mike leant ahead of El. "Is everything okay?" He asked, El nodding, Sev feeling his neck scars. That night was dreadful. Only one 'wrong' decision and Sev was cursed with these burn marks and scratch marks coating his neck. He never liked them, they reminded him of them. "Are you sure?" Mike asked, El looking up at her brother.

"Promise."

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?" LUCAS SPOKE, DUSTIN SHARING AT THE TWINS IN SHOCK. They shared a blanket, El leaning her head on Seven's shoulder. "Just listen to me." Mike defended, Lucas not standing down. "You are out of your mind!-" "She knows about Will." Mike interrupted, both boys falling silent. "What do you mean she knows about Will?" Dustin asked quickly, Seven rubbing El's shoulder. "She pointed at him, at his picture. She knew he was missing. I could tell." Mike held up the photo, Dustin looking to him. "What about the boy? Does he not know?" Dustin asked, Mike shrugging as Seven payed no mind, looking down at the blanket. "You could tell?" Lucas asked, Mike putting the photo away. "Just think about it. Do you really think it was a coincidence that we found them both on Mirkwood, the same place where Will disappeared?" Mike spoke, Dustin having to agree. "That is weird." He spoke, Mike nodding.

"And they said bad people are after them." Mike informed, both of his friend's faces scrunching up. "I think maybe these bad people are the same ones that took Will. I think they know what happened to him." Mike spoke, Lucas crossing his arms. "Then why don't they tell us?" He asked, Sev glaring at the boy as he walked up to the twins. "Do you two know where he is?" Lucas asked rather forcefully, El lifting her head and staring at Lucas, Sev doing the same. "Do you know where Will is!" Lucas grabbed El's shoulders, the girl flinching as Sev hit Lucas' hands harshly. "Stop it, you're scaring her!" Mike scolded, Lucas glaring at Sev before turning back to his friends. "She should be scared! Both of them should be! If either of you know where he is, tell us!" Lucas leaned forward, lowkey not wanting to get hit again by Sev. Sev rubbed El's shoulder when he saw tears form at her eyes, Lucas sighing.

"This is nuts. We have to take them to your Mom." Both twins perked up at this, Mike shaking his head. "No! Seven and Eleven both said telling any adult would put us in danger." Mike shot back, Dustin's face scrunching up again. "What kind of danger?" He asked nervously, Lucas scowling at he twins. "Their names are 'Seven' and 'Eleven'? Like the store?" He asked in a sour tone, Mike shrugging. "Sev and El for short." He answered Lucas, Dustin stepping forward. "Mike, what kind of danger?" He asked, Mike looking to him. "Danger danger!" He answered before putting the finger gun to Dustin's head, to his and to Lucas'. "No, no, no!" Lucas spoke after slapping Mike's hand down, the twins just staring at the quarrel. "We're going back to plan A. We're telling your Mom." El and Sev watched as Lucas walked to the door, his friends watching. He opened the door before El made it slam shut, the boy's flinching.

"What-" Lucas opened the door again before a red tendril shot towards the door, causing the boy to flinch away. What the fuck- The same tendril locked the door expertly, vanishing into red mist that diffused away completely. The three boy's looked to see Sev and El stood up the former's red eyes giving off a deadly aura.

Both of them had blood running down their noses as they chorused.

"No."
