Exiting the airport with Yuta, you felt anxious at the upcoming meeting of him and your parents. He carried both your suitcases whole you followed closely behind him to the car he rented.

You were worried about what he might think of your parents. You prayed that your dad for once wasn't drunk. You had talked to your parents about him and surprisingly they were both excited to meet your friend.

"(Y/N)," Yuta stopped in his tracks, moving his gaze to look towards you, seeing as he had been talking for about two minutes and no reply from you made him a bit worried thinking he had lost you in the crowded airport.

You broke out of your thoughts and awkwardly smiled at Yuta, "yeah?"

"Did you hear anything i just said?" He sighed propping the suitcases in the trunk of his new rented car.

You shook your head, "no, sorry i was lost in my thoughts."

"What's on your mind?" He asks, his tone having a hint of concern. He opened the passenger door for you with a small thanks you sat down, he followed your lead and got inside the car as well.

"Well?" He turned to look at you, his previous question still standing.

You sighed, not knowing if you should confide in him about your thoughts or not.

"It's nothing, i'm just worried about you meeting my parents." You looked out the window, not wanting to meet his gaze.

He placed a reassuring hand on your knee. "Hey, whatever happens, happens okay? i'm here for you."

"Yeah. Okay, thank you." You turned around to meet his gaze, his lips formed into a soft smile.

He didn't say anything, giving your knee a small squeeze, he focused on getting the both of you to your destination.

Thirty minutes passed and he began pulling in to your neighborhood, your leg began to bounce in a repetitive manner.

He didn't say anything even though he noticed it, he parked outside your house. He smiles and turns off the car turns he looks at you.

"Ready?" He asks, you nodded and got out the car Yuta followed your lead, he opened the trunk getting your suitcase out, you thanked him and walked towards your house, Yuta following close behind you feeling a bit shy to meet your parents. He felt his hands becoming sweaty, he wiped them on his black sweatpants and placed his hand on your lower back.

You were surprised at his sudden touch, your breath slightly hitched as you reached to open the door.

"Ready?" You ask, repeating the same words he said earlier, your eyes having a hint of worry.

"Yeah, are you?" He questions, his eyes locking with yours, a small smile appeared on your face your heart fastening in your chest.

"Yeah." You replied, and for once you meant what you said.

You took a deep breath in and opened the door the door squeaked as you opened it wider for the both of you to walk in.

You took the first step in, looking around for any sign of your parents. "Mom? Dad? I'm home."

You and Yuta made your way further inside the house still no sign of your parents you began to get a bit worried but when you heard distant voices coming from the dining room you made a bee-line for it. Yuta following closely behind his eyes wondering around the house taking in every aspect of your house. It felt homey.

You opened the door to the dining room making your way further inside. The lights being off, you reached your hand towards the wall, turning the lights on. Your heart skipped a beat at the yells of both your parents yelling surprise, mostly your mom yelling, your father opting on muttering.

"Welcome home sweetie!" Your mother said a big smile plastered on her face reaching to hug you. She was in one of her good moods.

"Oh! Thanks mom." You say, a smile appeared on your face. Pushing her slightly away not used to her hugging you.

Yuta watched the exchange between you and your mother, he took note that you got your looks mostly from her. He couldn't deny it your mom was really pretty. His eyes darted between the other person in the room, your father, his eyes were settled on Yuta ever since he stepped foot in the room.

Yuta gulped and averted his gaze, your father was intimidating. You got that from him he assumed.

"Who's this handsome fella? Is he the one you told us about?" Your mother asked, now noticing the male behind you.

You felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment, Yuta looked at you with raised brows, a teasing smile appearing on his face, before you could reply Yuta took it upon himself to reply.

"Okkotsu Yuta, pleasure to meet you mrs (L/N)!" He said, bowing down in respect.

"Oh honey! There's no need for that please get up, come on have a seat." Your mother giggled, gesturing the both of you to sit down, he took advantage of that and went towards your father who was sitting calmly down, his eyes showing a hint of acknowledgment.

"Mister (L/N), thank you for having me." He reached his hand out, your father hesitated for a bit but shook his hand.

"You're welcome son, please settle down." He gestures to the seat next to him, Yuta's lips formed a proud smile and he glanced over at you his brows raised as if saying ' he likes me!' You softly shook your head, trying to hide the small laughter that was bubbling up in your throat.

He looked cute.

"Are you guys hungry? I stayed up late to cook all of (Y/N)s favorite food." Your mother smiled, her eyes locking with your fathers. You broke out of your daze and looked at the table filled with different type of food.

"Uh, yeah sure, thanks mom." You began to plate up some food your mouth watering at the sight of one of your favorite foods.

Yuta followed your lead, him being hungry from the flight where he could barely eat anything because of motion sickness.

He took a bite of his food, his eyes widening at how good the food tasted.

He swallowed and looked towards your mother, "it's delicious Mrs (L/N)!" He complimented, your mom instantly smiled, "have more, have more!"

"How did you and my daughter meet?" Your father spoke up, gathering both you and Yuta's attention as your eyes widen, you met him after kicking Gojo in the nuts, your eyes met and you tried not to laugh.

"Uh. . .through mutual friends." Yuta said, it was true you did meet through mutual friends but not in the way your father would like.

"What are you gonna do after college?" Your father asks another question, his gaze solely focused on Yuta.

"I plan to take over my mother's business." He replies, his eyes meeting yours. A reassuring smile plastered on his lips.

"And what are your intentions with my daughter?" He rose his eyebrows, looking Yuta dead in the eye.

You almost spit out your drink at his question, your cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

Before you could say anything, Yuta took it upon himself again to reply. Seeing as the question was toward him.

He felt a bit shy at the question, his cheeks flushing with blush.

"The best sir." Yuta replied, his eyes darted between you and your father he noticed that you were embarrassed. He thought you looked cute while trying to avoid his gaze.

If only he know what was going on through your mind right now.

Your father nodded a bit skeptical about Yuta's response but he decided it was enough questioning, he took a sip of the wine he had in his glass. Your heart sinking at the sight.

You hadn't noticed it before.

He promised he wouldn't drink.

Yuta glanced at you, seeing the sudden change in your expression he wondered if he said something wrong.

You let out a shaky breath, trying your best to muster up a smile.

"Thank you for the food mom." You said, getting up from your chair and making a bee-line towards the door, wanting to leave the inclosed room.

Your mother didn't say anything, if she did you wouldn't have heard it anyway from the buzzing noise in your ears.

"Excuse me." Yuta muttered, getting up to follow after you.

He found you on your porch, sitting down on the steps the warm summer breeze welcoming the both of you.

"Hey, are you okay?" He spoke softly, sitting down next to you on the wooden porch, you glanced up towards him and slightly smiled.

"Peachy." You averted your gaze to look at the sunset you hadn't even realized how late it was.

"Your parents are nice. Though your dad is intimidating." He chuckled, looking at the sunset as well. He smiled when he heard you laugh at what he said.

"My dad's an asshole." You looked at him, "i'm surprised he wasn't drunk. . . well he's probably going to be soon from the looks of it."

"Is that why you're upset?" He furrows his brows, it adding up.

When you didn't say anything he knew he was right.

You opted on looking away, embarrassment rushing through your core.

"My dad used to drink as well." He said out of the blue, "my mom hated it. He went to rehab and changed maybe there's still some hope for your dad."

"I. . . I didn't know that." You were surprised at him randomly mentioning this, you felt shitty. He knows about how your parents are but you never asked about his.

"I don't like talking about it, that's why." He sadly smiles, "you're the second person who i've told about this."

You couldn't help but wonder who the first was.

Deep down you know who.

"Oh. . . I'm sorry if you felt pressured to talk about it." You felt guilty.

Yuta panicked when he noticed the look in your eyes, "don't worry, i wanted to talk about it. I know how it is so there's no reason for you to feel embarrassed about it okay?"

You felt your head spin from the rush of emotions.

"Thank you Yuta, really i appreciate you being here with me and for everything." You smiled at him, the sun long gone. Replaced by the shining full moon.

"Of course." He extended his hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. Sending your heart racing fast in your chest.

"Tomorrow i'm taking you out." He told you out of thin air, "be ready by 6pm."

Your brows raised, "where are you taking me? aren't i supposed to show you around."

"It's a surprise." He shrugged, smiling softly. "Plus we have all summer for you to show me around."

"I hate surprises." You muttered, pouting.

He chuckled, "i know you do. . . just trust me on this one okay?" He squeezed your intertwined hand a smile making its way on your face.

"Okay, i trust you. Don't make me regret it." You laughed, Yuta shook his head.

"I wouldn't dream of it." He muttered, getting up from the porch he helped you up.

"Let's go back inside, your parents are probably wondering where we're at." He smiles, letting go of your hand so your parents wouldn't get the wrong idea, you already missed his soft hand.
