A week passed very quickly you haven't even noticed when it passed by, you spent most of your days locked up in your room watching anime or just reading.

Your parents still argued from time to time, however it became quite less with you home now. Your father was still drinking heavily the only time he was sober was when he went to work in the morning, you barely saw him.

You decided to actually go out today, saying goodbye to your mother you began walking around the neighborhood taking in its sights.

It was decently warm outside you enjoyed that over the overbearing coldness of winter, you reached the plaza which was packed with people.

You remembered you promised to buy your mother back some red bell peppers for dinner, so you decided to go get some after having a drink at your favorite cafe.

Entering the small cozy cafe, the familiar smell of baked goods and coffee grounds welcomed you.

you casually walked towards the cashier, thankfully it wasn't as busy so there wasn't a line.

"Hello welcome to star cafe what would you li- Wait? (Y/N)? Oh my gosh you're back?!" The cashier gasped, also known as Lisa a friend from high school who you drifted apart from.

"Hey lisa! Yeah i'm back just for spring break though going back in a week." You smiled, feeling oddly calm at the sight of your old friend.

"Really? That's so cool! i wish my parents let me go to Jujutsu college as well we could've been roommates or something!" She sighed sadly.

"Yeah, would've been fun." You smiled, preferring Nobara as your roommate one hundred precent.

"Oh yeah, what can i get ya?"

"The usual." You replied, already beginning to take out your card, "got it!" Lisa said and registered your order.

"My break is in like two minutes mind if i sit with you so we can catch up?" She asks, a hopeful glim in her eyes as she pouted her lips.

"Yeah sure." You sighed, after paying and getting your drink you sat by the window gazing at the people who walked by, the sun was out and gleamed against the window, blinding you for a split second as you averted your gaze.

Lisa soon joined you, her smile still stuck on her face like it was tattooed on.

"So how's college?" She asks, taking a bite of her sandwich.

"It's fine, the exams are killing me."

"That's how it always is! Luckily for me i always cheat off this one guy who's totally obsessed with me." She bragged, acting like it was something to be proud of, you couldn't help but pity her.

"Anyway, have you talked to Sai? I'm throwing a small get together tonight at my place if you wanna come and reconnect with our old friends! Sai's gonna be there too i don't want things to be . . . tense or awkward!" She continued rambling on, you glanced towards her.

"Me and Sai are fine, i don't care about him." You casually explained, taking a small sip of your drink while maintaining eye contact with the brown eyed girl.

"I'm glad! Does that mean you'll come?" She asks, her eyes forming in puppy dog eyes while she pouted her lips.

You gave her a look, "if i go does that mean you'll stop looking at me like that?"

She nodded eagerly, you glanced back outside and sighed, "fine."

"Yay! we're gonna have so much fun i can't wait!" She exclaimed, happily going back to eating her sandwich and talking about whatever came to mind.

You stared at your reflection in the mirror, your outfit was pretty basic but it was cute.

A white short skirt with some black thighs that covered your legs, a black long sleeve that adorned your arms.

After spending a few minutes on doing your hair as it wasn't cooperating you exited the house with a slight smile as you bid goodbye to your mother.

You soon began to drive towards Lisa's house, listening to flex by Playboi Carti while you drove.

It was already dark outside when you arrived the air was chilly when you exited the car and began walking towards the front door, you knocked and after a few moments Lisa appeared with a huge smile on her face.

"(Y/N)! I'm so glad you could make it, ahh!" She squeezed you in a hug while grinning like a madman.

"Come on! The others are here too!" She said and led the way towards her living room.

The atmosphere was calm and loud, like it always was when you all shared english class.

The overwhelming feeling of nostalgia wrapped itself against your heart while you smiled sadly towards your old friend group.

"Hey guys! Look who's back home!" Lisa yelled, grabbing the attention from everyone in the room they all shared a collective gasp while staring mouth open towards you.

"Fucking (Y/N) (L/N)? When did she get hot!" The bald friend asked, also known as Connie stared jaw open at you, he got smacked by his best friend which resulted into them bickering.

"Stupid, she's always been hot." Lisa defended you, her arm draped across your shoulder sending a wink your way, Lisa was always the popular girl back in high school every boy and girl wanted her, you felt quite flattered that she said that, you felt yourself grow flustered.

"Let's get you a drink." She sighs and leaves your side now her spot being taken by Connie and his two other friends.

"Do you have any food? I'm flipping starving!" The brown haired girl asks, her mouth watering at the thought of food.

You simply shook your head no, "sorry Sash if i would've known you were here i would've stopped by the gas station and got you some snacks."

Sasha gasped in awe and quickly engulfed you in a hug, rocking you sideways.

"You're the best!" She exclaims, breaking apart from the hug with a huge grin on her face.

You chuckled, "Jean, finally grew out your mane?"

Jean's face turned red with anger, "this is not a mane! Honestly you remind me of Eren with these horse jokes." He mutters the last part, his lip quivering slightly at the mention of Eren.

Ouch.

How could you forget?

"How's Mikasa. . . ?" You ask, now feeling the sudden change in the air.

You were never that close to them, but hearing that Eren died was absolutely heartbreaking. He was so young.

"She's fine, she has Armin taking care of her making sure she eats and stuff." Sasha explains, her tone filled with sadness at the mention of their biggest loss.

"I would love to visit her someday." You say, out of everyone there you were always much closer to Mikasa in the friend group, and it broke your heart seeing her at Eren's funeral.

"She'd love to see you again, she still talks about you sometimes," Connie says, smiling sadly "it's been awhile."

"Yeah. . . It has." You agreed, Lisa finally coming back with the drink she promised.

"Hey! What's with the sad atmosphere? It's a party looseen up!" Lisa handed you the drink and went on her merry way, leaving you with the trio.

You took a sip of your drink, your face scrunched up at the sour taste of the alcohol. "Geez this is sour."

"I know right i think Lisa doesn't know how to make drinks and puts whatever she sees and wishes for the best." Connie nodded eagerly, agreeing with what Jean said.

You let out a small chuckle.

You hadn't realized how much you missed your old friends, even though you were never close it felt different this time.

The night soon came to a end and you all took your leave's, "don't be a stranger (Y/N)!" Connie yelled out from his convertible waving goodbye as he sped away.

In two days you'd go back to college.

You couldn't be more happier that you'd finally go back and leave your past behind again, but first you had someone to visit.

Pulling up in the driveway, you stared wide eyed at the cozy looking cabin that resided on a hill next to a big beautiful tree.

You parked the car and got out, the door to the cabin was open just as soon as you got out.

You got greeted with the sight of Mikasa, who was smiling softly towards you. Still as beautiful as ever.

She walked towards you and quickly engulfed you in a hug, it barely lasted ten seconds but it was more then enough for the both of you.

"(Y/N) I'm so happy you decided to visit us." She smiles, as she gestured you inside her house for tea and biscuits.

"How are you doing?" You ask, sitting down on the couch while Mikasa began preparing the tea.

"I'm fine. You?" She said, her voice was so soft and caring, but there was still a hint of sadness in it.

"Well i've been better, college is going great."

"I'm glad to hear that," She sets down two cups of tea and placed the plate of biscuits in front of you, "is Sai still giving you trouble?" She raised a brow, sipping casually on her tea.

You followed her lead and took a sip of your tea before shaking your head, "no, he hasn't. He still goes to my parents house which is weird."

"I've always hated that guy." She mentioned.

"Really?" You say, a bit taken back by her words.

"Mhm, he always looked at you like you were a piece of meat." She stated, "that's why i'd try to make you hangout with me more."

You stared at Mikasa in shock.

"I definitely regret not taking you up on your weird hangout suggestions." You tell her, Mikasa let out a small laugh.

"They weren't that weird." She defended herself, smiling as she thought back to the past.

You stared dumbfounded at her, "Mikasa. . . You once asked me if i wanted to help you stalk Eren while he went away on a boys trip."

Mikasa's smile didn't leave her face, not even at the mention of Eren's name.

"I miss those times." She sadly says, her hands clenched against the red scarf that adorned across her neck.

You placed a hand on her shoulder, you weren't good with words but you wanted her to know you were there for her.

She perks her head up and smiles.

"Want to visit him?" She asks, you nodded your head and got up Mikasa followed your lead and got up as well, making a bee-line for the front door.

"Give me a second i bought some flowers and a candle!" You say and rush towards your car and grabbed the things you previously bought.

Mikasa waited for you with a smile, you soon joined her side and made your way up the hill further to the tree where Eren was currently resting.

You placed the flowers you bought for him on the side, lighting up the candle and gave him a quick prayer.

You and Mikasa spent the rest of the evening chatting on the hill.

You missed those times with her.
