I stood on the other side of the table as I helped Monty pack the nuts into small bags. I throw a nut at Jasper as he effortlessly catches it in his mouth.
I look at Jasper in disbelief, "Is there anything you can't do?" Jasper pretends to think about the question, "Nope. Here you try."
He throws a nut in the air, it misses my mouth and hits me in the nose. Jasper laughs at me, earning a smack in the head from Monty. "Stop wasting nuts, you nut head."
I giggle slightly, "I think you need a better insult Monty." He huffs at me, "I'm saving the better insults for you." I lightly shove him.
Clarke walks up to us, "Hey, you guys seen Dax?" I shake my head while Monty replies, "Over there, on the meat crew"
"What are they gonna do with the grounder?" Jasper asks. "I'd rather not think about it." Monty responds.
"It's been days since Bellamy captures him. How long until his friends come looking?" Jasper continues. "Cheer up. In that time, we'll all be dead from hypothermia."
"Anyways what's up with you and Big Man Bellamy?" Monty asks me, I could feel my cheeks beating up at the question.
"Ooh! Aurora has a crush!" Jasper mocks, making me groan. "I will beat the two of you up in a minute." I respond.
Monty pinches my arm mockingly, "With what muscles?" I swing my foot and kick Monty in the shin, receiving a loud painful groan from him. "I stand corrected."
Monty eats a nut to distract him from the pain. Then throws another one towards Jaspers mouth. Jasper easily catches it again, doing his weird high-five with Monty.
I frown, "What happened to not wasting nuts? 'Nut head.'" Monty grins at me, "It's not wasting them if he actually catches them."
I let out a fake, offended gasp. "Are you turning against me now?" Placing my hand on my heart, "You have broken my heart Monty Green."
In the corner of my eye I watch as Bellamy grabs many rations of nuts, more than a days worth. My eyebrows furrow in confusion. What was he up to? He quickly looked at me before rushing out of the gates with Clarke.

I sat in the corner confused as I watched Jasper and Monty act weirder than usual. I don't know if it was something funny or scary to witness.
"Earth is scary," Jasper states. "Earth is amazing. Fresh air. Trees." Monty responds as he stares at his hand. "Nuts. Mm. This is better than usual, right? I'd like to give Earth a giant hug." Monty lays down staring at the tent ceiling.
Jasper walks up to Monty, "You're acting weird." Monty replies winking, "I feel weird. But in a good way."
I look at the nut packet, maybe this was the cause to them acting weird. I guess I'm glad that my nut catching skills were horrible.
"Aurora. Did you know that I love you!! You're so sweet and funny and so so pretty!" Monty says as he puts all his weight on me when giving me a hug.
Being the weak person I am I fall to the ground, Monty laying on top of me. I groan in pain, "Get off me." I try to push him but he just laughs.
Octavia enters the tent, "I was looking for you but it seems like you're busy." Octavia grins at the sight. "Please help me." I beg her.
"Only if you help me free Lincoln." She offers. I look at her in confusion, "Lincoln?"
"The grounder." She responds. "Okay, deal. Now get him off me or I might die before I can help."
She chuckles as we work together to push Monty off me, letting him flop to the ground like a dead fish laughing.

I help Octavia remove the rope from Lincolns ankles and wrists. "Don't move. We need to go now." Grunts leave Lincolns mouth, "Why are you doing this?" He questions. I look at him in shock, not expecting him to speak english well.
"Especially you. You could've died because of me." He says to me. I shrug my shoulders, "I mean, I did throw a knife in your shoulder so I guess we are even."
"After I stabbed your friend." Lincoln continues. I shrug my shoulders. "Fair point."
"They'll know you helped me." He tells us. "You said it. If you stay here, you'll die. I'm not going to let that happen." Octavia tells him.
"I'm not going to put you two in danger." He tells us, making me lift my eyebrows at him."Again." He adds.
"We need to do this now." Octavia says. "Even in these clothes, I'll be seen." He continues to protest.
"People are seeing plenty of things right now." Octavia tells him, "Up you get." The two of us hoist him up, putting his arms around our shoulders.
We help him as he limps towards the ladder. "What'd you do?" He questions. "Set out some of our winter rations a little early." Octavia responds.
"Joni nuts. The food you gave my guard. They go bad, they cause visions, but it wears off." He informs us. As we get to the ladder I remove his arm off my shoulder.
"Try to get as far away as you can, okay?" Octavia tells him. "And try not to get yourself killed."
Lincoln wraps his arms around me, giving me an awkward hug. He whispers in my ear, "We aren't so different. You and I." I look at him confused when he releases the hug. "May we meet again."
He turns to face Octavia, staring at her deeply. He leans down and cups Octavias face, planting a kiss on her lips. I watch as I quietly jump and squeal in the corner.
They would be cute together. Like Romeo and Juliet but without the horrible ending, I hope. Lincoln nods at me one last time before climbing down the ladder.
Octavia looks at me pointing a finger at me, "Not a word to my brother." I nod my head in agreement, "I wouldn't tell a soul. But you two are so cute, my heart is melting."
Octavia blushes, "Could say the same for you and my brother." I look at her in disagreement, "Bellamy and cute shouldn't even be in the same sentence." I joke.
"Should we help the others?" Octavia questions, swiftly changing the subject. "What if we just bully Monty and Jasper instead?" I reply.
Octavia wraps an arm around my shoulder grinning, "I like your thinking! I'm surprised we didn't become friends sooner."

"Rough night?" Monty asks the two of us as he has his hands on his pockets. I look at Octavia, both of us trying to hold our laughs in. "Yeah. My head. It's killing me" I add onto Octavias acting, "Remind me to never eat nuts again please."
"I'm pretty sure I ate a pinecone because it told me to." Monty responds, I look at him shocked. "Didn't realise that you were that down to earth Monty." I say jokingly.
"Ha. Ha. You should be a comedian." Monty sarcastically responds as he claps his hands slowly. "He's gone! The grounders gone!" Miller yells to the rest of the delinquents. We all gather around the drop ship.
Everyone chatting amongst themselves in panic. I hold Octavias hand giving it a small squeeze. She looks at me with a small smile.
"What if he brings other grounders back?" Jasper questions from beside Finn. "They'll kill us all." Another person mentions. "Or worse."
"Let the grounders come." Bellamy says, dropping a large bag. I lean towards Octavia whispering in her ear, "Always has to make an entrance doesn't he?" Octavia smirks while rolling her eyes.
"We've been afraid of the for far too long. Why? Because of their knives and spears. I don't know about you but I'm tired of being afraid." Bellamy says to the delinquents.
He looks at Clarke as they place guns on the ground, "These are weapons, okay? Not toys. We have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the drop ship comes but until then they're going to help keep us safe." Clarke informs.
Bellamy continues, "And there are plenty more where these came from. Tomorrow we start training, and if the grounders come, we're gonna be ready to fight."

I sat next to Octavia as she laid her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her, caressing her arm. She opened up to me about her and Bellamys argument. My heart hurt for the girl next to me, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that.
I felt more annoyed at Bellamy then I did before. "Boys are dicks," I mumble in her hair as I rest my head on hers. "Yeah."
A bright orange blanket is suddenly draped around the two of us, heating me up instantly. I lift my head up to look at Bellamy, instantly turn back the other way.
"I don't expect you to two forgive me, but you'll have to find a way to live with me because I'm not going anywhere." Bellamy tells the two of us.

I stood next to Raven with my arms crossed as I watch the screen ahead of me. "My friends, this is a historic Unity Day.
"Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground." Jaha says, a bright smile beaming on his face.
"Right. After we did all the work. Someone shut him up." Miller complains, looking at the rest of the delinquents. "You shut up, Miller. No one's forcing you to watch." Raven snaps back.
I smirk as I put an L sign on my forehead mocking Miller. He looks at me rolling his eyes then points his middle finger at me in retaliation.
Jaha continues, "For ninety-seven years, we have eked out an existence, hoping that someday our descendants would return to Earth."
Jasper runs down the hill holding a barrel, "Whoo! Yeah! Monty strikes again! Call this batch! Unity Juice! Who's thirsty?"
I roll my eyes at Jasper, nudging Raven in the arm. "You up for some Unity Juice?" Raven asks me smiling.
I thought back to how my dad used to act. When he used to drink. I shake the thoughts from my head, "Yeah sure. One drink can't hurt can it? After all, I think we both deserve a break."
Raven links her arm in mine as we walk towards the group of delinquents. Jasper passes cups to me and Raven smirking, "Bottoms up ladies."
Raven and I clink our glasses before forcing Montys moonshine down our throats. We both look at each other with disgusted faces before laughing at each other.

Raven left me awhile ago, not wanting to get drunk. After my first drink, more kept coming. I wasn't in control over my body anymore, Montys moonshine taking the lead. I danced with Jasper and Monty, their awkward dance moves giving me endless amount of laughter.
I felt free, happy. Even if it was just temporary.
I bump into someone that's behind me, a thread of apologies escaping my mouth. Their hands grab either side of my waist, swiftly turning me around.
I place my hands on their chest, trying to keep myself stable. I look up to see Bellamys familiar face. I instantly wrap my arms around his neck, dragging him down and my legs give way. "Bellamy!" I slur excitedly.
He chuckles as he attempts to hold me up, pulling his body close to mine. "Having fun there Peach?" I smile at Bellamy, "I feel great! Dance with me!'
I take his larger hands in mine. He softly twirls me around in his arms. His eyes watch me admiringly as I move around messily, thinking that it's dancing. I trip into his chest, giggling. "Calm down Peach." Bellamy chuckles.
He wraps his arms around my waist, placing his chin on my head. Slowly swaying side to side. I wrap my arms around him, mumbling into his chest. "Why can't you be like this more often?"
"What do you mean?" He questions. I can't stop the words from falling out of my mouth, but I wish I could've.
The words just poured out of me in a slurred mess, "Less cold. Less scary. I'm afraid of you Bellamy. I never know what you're going to do next and when you hurt that grounder all I could think of was my father."
The swaying stops, Bellamy pulls away from me. He uses his fingers to lift my chin up, his expression unreadable. He brushes my hair out of my face, planting a light kiss on my forehead.
He opened and closed his mouth as if he was about to say something but decided against it. It wouldn't matter tomorrow anyways.
A yawn leaves my lips, "I think it's bedtime. Do you think anyone would care if I just slept here?" I question as I slowly slump to the ground.
Bellamy sighs loudly before picking me up like a sack of potatoes. My arms hang above my head as Bellamy carries me to his tent. He lightly puts me down, wrapping me in the blanket.
"Sleep well Peach." Bellamy whispers, "No stay." I ask him, patting the side of the bed. Falling asleep instantly when he sits beside me.

An explosion wakes me up from my slumber, I groan placing a hand on my head at the throbbing pain. At least I was sobered up now. I drank the water that was beside the bed, feeling the cool liquid glide down my throat.
I rush out of the tent, still wrapped in a blanket. My eyes immediately get drawn to a large circle of light falling from the sky, presumably the exodus ship.
I watch in confusion as it falls at full speed without a parachute. The ship crashes onto the ground, light and fire erupting from the impact. Smoke rising to the sky. All I can do stare in shock.
