A/N - For this we are gonna pretend the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students came the first day of school, instead of on Halloween.
I yawned softly, stretching my arms above my head. I felt hot breath on my side, then looked down to realize I must've fallen asleep with Cedric.
I blushed almost instantly, and rolled out of the bed quickly.
His brown, soft bangs covered his eyes, and his Hufflepuff sweater was misplaced on his body, all wrinkled and one shoulder completely out.
I chuckled and brushed the hair out of his face, before looking at the clock down the hall. "Bloody hell.." I cursed noticing that we only had about fifteen minutes to get ready.
I ran back to my room and threw my scattered clothing into my bag.
I ran back inside Cedric room, kicking the bed to wake him up. "Wha-!?" He jolted upwards with sleepy eyes and messy hair. Strands were sticking up from all around, all staticky.
"Up! We only haveโ" I looked at my watch. "Fourteen minutes!" I cried dragging his body out of bed and into the bathroom.
"Get ready, and quick." I ordered him. He yawned and nodded slowly. I ran out of the bathroom and into my bedroom, grabbing a pair of comfortable clothing for the train ride.
I threw other things in my trunk; blankets, books, stuffed animals. I quickly grabbed my hairbrush and fixed up my hair, deciding to not style it in any way.
I grabbed the jewelry I had been recently wearing from the bedside table, and put it on. I latched in the earrings, clasped my necklaces and bracelets and slid on the rings.
I smiled at myself in the mirror, then noticed how long Cedric was seeming to take in the bathroom. I groaned as Amos began yelling, commanding us to hurry.
"Cedric Diggory!" I yelled opening the door. "What could possibly be taking you so loโ"
I let out a laugh as Cedric had shaving cream smeared all across his face, and a razor in hand. His cheeks turned red as he attempted kicking the door closed; I caught it with my hand.
I reached onto the counter to grab a camera, and snapped a picture. Cedric was frowning, glaring at me.
"Relax Ceddy, it's not like I'd show anyone." I said with a giggle as I grabbed my toothbrush. He raised an eyebrow at me.
I sighed. "Alright, maybe I will." I replied stuffing the camera in my pocket.

"Matilda!" I shouted at my best friend of many years. Her dark black hair flowed behind her as she ran forward and hugged me tightly.
"Oh my Merlin, Y/n! We have so much to catch up on!" She cheered pulling me away from my spot next to Cedric and onto the train. I giggled, letting her drag me, clutching my books and owls cage tightly in my hand.
I didn't bother looking back at Cedric, he was already with a couple friendsโI think.
Matilda Le Roux and I had been friends for quite some time. We became friends in our first year, shortly after Cedric and I did.
She has a soft Australian accent, mixed with her British one. She had a mole on her upper lip, and long black hair that always had a slight curl at the end. She was phenomenal at potions, which I needed half the time. (I do admit, I was not the best at potions.)
Kaleigh Grotto was already waiting for us on the train. Kaleigh was another close friend of mine, although she was in Ravenclaw.
"Kal!" I squealed as I crashed into her, giving her a large hug. She giggled and set her book down, hugging me back.
Kaleighโor as we called her, Kal, had grown tremendously. She was very tall, much taller than I. She had long ginger hair and freckles covering her face. Along with a pair of bright green eyes. Her eyelashes and eyebrows were barely visible, as they were so lightly colored.
"Oh I'm so glad we are all together again." Matilda said happily, joining our hug. I giggled in agreement.
"How was staying at lover boys house?" Kal asked me raising an eyebrow. I scoffed and sat across from the two.
"Hilarious." I muttered. "It was amazing. We spent the whole summer smilingโprobably one of the best summers I've had in a while." I told them.
"Oh my Merlin, you are so desperately in love with him." Matilda told me dramatically collapsing onto Kal's lap.
"Haha. Real funny." I muttered crossing my arms. They both began giggling softly, causing me to do the same.
"Alright, fine. Kal how was your summer?" Matilda said/asked. Kal shrugged, and leaned her head against the window she was seated next to you.
"Fine. I stayed at home most of the time. It was rather dreadful." She told us, pulling out a lollie from her jacket pocket. "Although I did travel to my aunt and uncles house. They give me present during that time since I don't see them on my birthdayโwhich I always look forward too. This year they gave me lots of lollies, and gardening supplies. Along with a few books."
"That sounds lovely, what about you?" I asked Matilda, smiling at Kal.
"My summer was amazing!" She said happily. Matilda's family was very wealthy, and could afford many different trips.
"I went to France, America, Columbia and Australia!" She cheered, pulling out something from her pocket, it was a small pack of candies. She began to eat them.
Kal opened her book back up. I reached into my bag to pull out some seeds for my owl.
I dumped them into my hand, and began feeding it to my owl, when the doors slid open. "ErmโY/n?" Cedric muttered scratching his neck.
"Hm? Yes?" I asked softly, looking up at him. His smile widened as he looked down at me. "Do you need anything?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
He shook his head. "Oh, Merlin no, I just wanted to see if you were all good." He told me leaning against the doorframe slightly.
"How so?" I asked. "But thanks, of course." I told him brushing my hand off on my clothes.
"I dunnoโsettled in, I suppose?" He added. "Like you found an open seat, there are tons of first years.." I grinned softly and stood up.
"Well then, Ced. You have nothing to worry about. I'm all good." I told me.
He smiled and nodded. "Good, I'm glad." He said before nodding to Kal and Matilda and walking away.
Once he was done and the door closed, they immediately bombarded me with questions.
"What was that about?"
"Did you confess?"
"Does he not trust us?"
"Oh my goodness, does he like you?"
"Goodness." I muttered putting hand over my face. "Just because he is being nice doesn't mean he likes me. We've been friends since our first year, obviously he cares about me." I answered them.
Kal shrugged, "I suppose so."
I obviously liked Cedric, what wasn't there to like? He was incredibly handsome, kind, intelligent, and absolutely hilarious!
But I couldn't like him. I was almost sure that Cedric had a crush on another girl. Also, he is my best friend. Who dates their best friend?
This train ride was going to be long.
โพโ๏ธ๏ธโโผเผยซโข~
"I've missed the food." Matilda groaned as she sat down at our Hufflepuff table. It was lightly decorated, covered in golden silverware and plates. Along with pot of flowers every once in a while.
"Especially the jello." I told her, smiling. She grinned and took a sip of her already filled water cup.
"You do love the jello here, don't you?" She asked me, already knowing the answer.
"She truly does." Lilith Prescott replied as she sat down next to me. Lilith was another friend of mine. Surely, she was not as close to me as Kal or Matilda, but alas we were friends.
I only had become friends with her last year, during transfiguration. She was another Hufflepuff, and was very kindโyet shy. It always made me happy when she would chat with me, it made me feel good about myself.
"Hallo Y/n!" Anastasia Weber said to me as she walked past, her German accent truly shining through.
Anastasia was very close friends with Lilith, I think they'd been friends since before Hogwarts. They live in the same neighborhoodโI think.
Lilith had blonde-ish hair. It was more brown than blonde. She had dark brown eyes, that hide underneath her bushy eyebrows. She was tall too, of course not taller than Kal.
Anastasia had brown hair, that was cut short into a bob. She had long eyelashes and clean cut eyebrows. Her eyes were a very bright blue, which contrasted against her pale skin heavily.
I had many friends, I was considered more popular than others, although I hated that term. Popular.
It seemed like you yearned for others attention, and wereโrude, in a way.
But that was the opposite of me. I suppose I was considered popular because I was kind, kind to everyone. I was confident, as confident as an Hufflepuff could possibly be, I suppose.
I sat at the end of the group, saving a seat for Cedric, which I normally did. I frowned after a few minutes, and was willing to give my seat up for Andres Del, a curly haired boy who was a few years younger than I.
Until finally, "Wait! I'm here!" Cedric called out as he sat beside me, his cheeks all red and sweaty. "What happened to you?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"I," He panted, "forgot my wand, had to run back and get it before the train left." he threw his wand into his pocket and brushed his cinnamon bangs away.
"Of course you di-"
"Ahem!" Dumbledore coughed out, catching the rooms attention. "This year, is going to be a wondrous year, full of learning, and hopefully much fun. Before I begin with my announcements, we will begin with sorting."
โพโ๏ธ๏ธโโผเผยซโข~
"Now that we are all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement." Dumbledore started. "This castle will not only be yours this year, but home to some very special guests as well."
All of a sudden Professor Filch came running in through the two large wooden doors at the back of the room. He scurried down the hall, awkwardly moving his legs in a way I'd never seen a soul run.
I creased my eyebrows at Dumbledores words. What could he mean? What guests?
"You see, Hogwarts has been chosenโ" Before Dumbledore could finish, Filch approached him and whispered something into his ear.
Dumbledore nodded and clicked his tongue, before returning to what he was saying. "So, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event." He told us.
I raised an eyebrow and looked over at Lilith. "My dad told me a bit about this, something about a tournament." She told me.
I nodded slowly, then looked back over at Dumbledore. "The Tri-Wizard Tournament." He finished. I creased my eyebrows, then turned around to look at Lilith.
"Told ya." She replied happily. I smiled and nodded slowly before looking back at Dumbledore.
"Now for those of you who do not know, the Tri-Wizard Tournament brings together the three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single student is selected to compete." He informed us.
I creased my eyebrows. What kind of challenges? I wonder who will get chosen?
Dumbledore began to speak again. "Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say, these contests are not for the faint hearted." He said raising his bushy gray eyebrows.
"Well that rules you out." Cedric muttered to me, smirking devilishly.
"Oh shut up." I muttered back hitting his shoulder, and looking back at Dumbledore. Cedric chuckled to himself and leaned against the table, taking a sip of juice from his cup.
"Now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!" Dumbledore announced, reaching his hand out to the door.
All the heads in the room turned to look at the beautiful ladies emerge from the room. They were wearing blue dresses and hats, each of their hair tied into a perfect braid or their hair somewhat tied up. Almost all the boys in the room had their mouths open in shockโand admiration.
I watched as they danced down the room, letting out sing-song gasps each time they stopped. Once they reached the end, they lifted their clothed arms into the air and emitted butterflies from their palms.
"Blimey." Andres muttered from across the table as a giant woman followed the group. She had bobbed hair, and the longest legs I'd ever seen.
"Merlin's beard." Cedric muttered to himself as he watched the girls with a confused expression on his face.
"Now for our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang." Dumbledore told the crowd, motioning towards the door.
Out walked a group of heavily handsome boys. Most with their hair half shaved off. They had staffs in their hand, and banged them on the ground, emitting soft sparks each time they did so.
One of them caught my eye, he was tall, and had dark eyes and dark hair. He looked over at me, and smiled to himself, before shooting me a wink.
The girls around me squealed and shoved me playfully. "Somebody's got an admirer!" Anastasia squealed.
"He's cute too!" Matilda said excitedly. "You must say hi to him after this is over!" She added.
I blushed softly and continued looking over at the handsome boy. "He is cuteโisn't he?" I cheered as I looked over at Cedric, expecting him to be smiling. Although it was the opposite, he was glaring at the boy.
"What's wrong?" I asked. Although I didn't get a response, he just continued staring off into the group of men. I shrugged it off, and continued watching the Durmstrang boy.
Once they made it to the end of the hall, one of them blew a fire dragon out of their wand.
"Bloody hell." I muttered standing up slightly to watch them.
This was going to be an interesting year, that for sure.
โพโ๏ธ๏ธโโผเผยซโข~
"Did you see how cute they all were?!" Matilda squealed as the four of us walked in a line towards our common room. (Kal had to leave since she was a Ravenclaw.)
"I know." I told them back, looking around the long hallway. Matilda looked over at me and stopped, turning her head to the two others. "You guys go ahead, me and Y/n are going to look for the handsome Durmstrang boy." She giggled pulling me away.
"Huh-wait! No, no. You know I like Cedric I can'tโ" Although I was cut off my a tap on my shoulder. Matilda's jaw dropped, and she squealed before running away.
I creased my eyebrows and turned around to see the Durmstrang boy behind me. "Ohโuhm, hello." I told him softly.
"Hello miss. I saw you sitting at table and thought you were beautiful." He said in a heavy Bulgarian accent.
"Oh, thank you. My name is Y/n, Y/n Sunriser." I replied, slightly confused on the situation at hand. Although, my cheeks were a fiery red.
I looked to my side to see Cedric walking with his friends, but staring directly at me with a confused.. and seemingly angered face.
I shot him a confused look, but he just looked away. I sighed and looked back at the man in front of me.
"I am Ivan Bachev." He told me, reaching for my hand, and bringing it to his lips. This man was so heavenly handsome, but so was Cedric.
I smiled softly and pulled my hand away. "It was nice to meet you Ivan, but I must be going now. Sleep well." I said before turning around and walking away.
I sighed and rubbed my temples before entering into the Hufflepuff common room. "Merlin." I muttered. So much had happened on the first day. I could only imagine was this year would be like.
