PEOPLE'S chatter reached your ears as you calmly took a sip of your (f/d) and licked your lips, gazing out of the window, various people from different backgrounds walking along the busy streets of Yokohama.
(F/d) was something you could always rely on to just calm down and close your eyes for a while, almost being able to hear your own heartbeat, all the noise in the background fading away. Being outside drained you, but having your usual spot away from any close proximity of people was good enough for you to start your day.
"Would you like to have some more, miss?"
The waitress kindly asked you, hands at her back politely to which you smiled, saying, "Yes, please. Thank you,"
You waited patiently, tapping your fingers against the table as you looked outside again, many trains of thoughts occupying your mind.

DAZAI was lying on the couch of the armed detective agency lazily, releasing whines of boredom as he did absolutely nothing. His belly faced the sofa's comfortable seat, sinking into it.
At the back he could hear Tanizaki and Kenji's voices talking about paper work and Dr. Yosano typing on the keyboard of her laptop. He honestly admired them for doing that, because he just could never do all that stuff even if he was optimistic.
Kunkida announced to him and Atsushi about a case that had been going on for a few weeks. They received information about people killing others like homocides, physical abuses at home, many suicides and people doing illegal things. Thinking about it, he sat up with an absent minded face.
His gut told him to go investigate that case and find out what was going on.
So he stretched himself to get rid of any soreness, got up and left the room without any sound whatsoever.
Minutes later, he joined his colleagues who were on their way down the stairs to head outside and Dazai quickly caught up with them.
"Hey Kunikida~"
He sang the male's name teasingly and poked a finger into his arm. The other however just ignored him and walked towards his car with a cool demeanour. Kunikida rummaged through his pants' pockets for the key but came to the conclusion that there was nothing inside. Panicked, he looked at his colleagues as he scratched his blonde locks.
"Has any one of you seen the car keys?"
Atsushi innocently shook his head, pretty, light and uneven hair shaking gently with him after he searched in his own pockets. "No, sir. Nothing," he shrugged, lips pursed together in a line.
Kunikida took a deep breath to restrain his nerves and brought his fingers to the bridge of his nose, sliding up his glasses. "Great," he flipped open his Ideals Book with furrowed brows, "we're going to be behind schedule,"
Dazai went over to the car in a childish way, eyes closed, then he halted his movements, "Do you mean... these keys?"
The taller male's head snapped towards him, simultaneously shutting the small notebook harshly with deadly eyes pointed at the suicidal maniac. Dazai was spinning the keys around his slender finger, innocently smiling mildly before he felt the keys harshly being ripped away from his bandaged hands.
With a great scowl on the blonde's face, they entered the car together to head to the first location. With a few adjustments to the mirrors, they drove off. Kunikida was driving for the day as his eyes had a sharpness to them, his grip firm on the steering wheel. Atsushi on the other hand merely gazed out of the car window, being lost in his own thoughts.
Dazai would hum a quiet tune with his hands behind his head, one leg over the other in a very masculine way, as he, actually surprisingly, said nothing for once. That day felt off anyway, and he wanted to know why and prepared himself mentally for the future to unfold.
Before they almost reached their destination, Kunikida took a few glances through the rear mirror towards Dazai with an already pissed look, "Listen, Dazai, today I want you to stay serious and not waste your time on anything and talk about your suicide bullshit, alright? It's a very serious case where-"
"Yeah yeah, I know Kunikida," he only moved his hand dismissively with annoyed eyes, "I promise I won't do anything,"
This caused the blonde to sigh and quieten just for now, really hoping his colleague to actually keep that promise when they arrived at a northern district, in downtown of Yokohama. All three stepped out of the vehicle, locking its doors and made their way towards the certain flower shop where a report came from three days ago.
Hanano Kaika (花の開花).
The three of them were very well aquainted with the shop's owner, buying his beautiful flowers if needed. He had the best flowers of the city, their scent already intoxicating the men.
"Good afternoon Mr Yuu, how are you doing?"
Mr Yuu asked them to take a seat at a table at the back, where he usually would take his breaks. Once they were ready, they questioned him for details about the case.
"I don't know... my best friend Tanaka wouldn't just barge in and steal some of my flowers. Or go to the jewelry shop on the other side of the street. It was so unlike him."
"So, you're saying he never had any signs that he might have any personal grudge against you or the owner of that jewlery shop? Never talked about wanting a specific item from there?" Atsushi concluded with a puzzled look.
Mr Yuu nodded, "Yes. We're very good friends and he never mentioned any ties of his with that shop, he wouldn't ever do that. And after all that, he didn't answer my calls,"
Kunikida put his fingers under his chin in deep thought, "I see,"
For hours they went from one location to the other and would interrogate the victims or witnesses. And all of them would say the same thing over again.
"It wasn't like her. She's such an innocent girl, who wouldn't ever hurt anyone."
Kosumoto Sango, 15, student, killed a man in his 40s with 11 stab wounds, used scissors.
"So he wasn't diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder?"
"Not at all. He was quite the opposite."
Shishido Kenta, 22, university student, broke a fellow student's left arm and ribs.
"My husband always respected humans and he was always good to me. I can't believe he did this, it's like he's a stranger to me now."
Yamane Nobuo, 35, held captive two minors, tortured them with a whip first and then sliced them at their throats.
"My beautiful daughter never had any depressive tendencies or reasons to not find a reason to live. I can't- I can't do this, I'm sorry."
Okimoto Shigeko, 12, succeeded at a suicide attempt, hung herself in the school's girls bathroom.
"All seem to have one in common," the weretiger began breaking the silence.
"These are innocent people with no dangerous or depressive tendencies, yes," Dazai finished as he looked out of the car window.
"I assume that this isn't just a coincidence. It all happens consciously, I've looked through the families' relations and they all had a person who worked for Goda Kazuhiko," the blonde idealist added as he led them to their last destination for the day.
Dazai hummed, "Seems that someone must have bad blood with Goda's organisation,"
When they reached the neighbourhood, the three of them stretched their sore limbs and exited from the car.
The brunette's eyes observed and scanned the whole area in suspicion and caution, hands in his pockets as he walked side by side with Atsushi. This area was very peaceful as he recalled, barely any crimes happening here. His face visibly changed to that when you've realised something.
Could it be-
His thoughts were cut off by a man who opened the door of a humble little house as his two other colleagues started their interrogation yet again. Dazai didn't pay attention to them and looked around the neighbourhood. It's too peaceful here, I don't like it, he thought, soaking in every information relevant for this matter.
Taking a few steps away from the three men, he went to the opposite side of the road and took in the house with an expressionless face. He walked a few more blocks ahead to recollect his thoughts and took notice of the sky, how it was slowly making its way down and surpassing the horizon. When this man started observing, everything would come to a stop. He would know every single detail in his eyesight, or when he's listening to a person talk, he filtered out their tone, their pauses, the words they didn't use and their silence. Noticing things others didn't was his speciality. And his intuition wouldn't ever fail him, resulting of the predictions he would make. But if it did, he'd always come up with another plan or prediction.
His mind was always working.
"He... shot your neighbour?"
The two men asked the young mother of the family questions about their 9 year old son who walked out of the house one night and killed their neighbour, a man in his early 30s.
"Yes.... my son... he wouldn't ever do that Mr Detective! Please! He's innocent!" the mother raised her voice with tears in her eyes, as she gripped her husband's arm.
Kunikida slid his glasses up his nose bridge, "It's alright ma'am, we believe you," he gave her a reassuring smile to ease the atmosphere and turned towards Atsushi.
Opening his notebook, he showed his notes to the young man, "Here, this is what I could collect," was all he said as Atsushi read through everything and racked his brain.
"Hmmm I see. You know, I went through the profile of the man who got shot and turns out he worked for Goda," he informed when he gave back the little book.
The blonde nodded, stuffing the small object into his jacket. "Then it's for certain that this someone obviously hates that organisation and wants revenge," his eyes landed on the house next to the family's. "I suggest we should check the man's house for more information,"
With an agreeing nod, Atsushi moved his legs, "Alright, let's go then,"
Together they busted open the door and let their eyes wander everywhere around them. But then, Kunikida stopped and released a big sigh.
"Where the fuck is Dazai now?"
Speaking of him, he had already walked all the way to the 14th house of that neighbourhood and was lost in his own thoughts. Until he suddenly saw a woman that just had passed him and walked ahead to the 16th house. When he actually paid attention to her, he could see a silhouette of a person at the right side of the house, hidden.
The suspicious behaviour made him narrow his eyes and his face contorted to a serious one. He slowed down and reached the 16th house to hide himself, so that he could see the scene unfold.
The woman was on her way to her house but she stopped moving all of a sudden, as if her feet got frozen on the spot. His brown hair moved gently due to the soft breeze as he sharpened his eyes and ears. He came to realise that the woman had locked eyes with that silhouette. Coming closer to the scene, he made no sounds and had his eyes wide open.
The woman appeared to be very young and beautiful, she had silkly long black hair tied into a firm bun. She wore formal and plain clothes, a blue blouse, and a long white skirt that reached until her knees with black jelly shoes. Dazai categorized her to be an innocent woman, a happy woman with a fairly good job and life. She didn't give him any feeling that she might be dangerous in any way.
That other person, was also a woman and she had a stoic expression plasted on her face, he couldn't see much of her, so he couldn't judge her. A few seconds passed and the woman from before chose to move her legs again, following the small stairs leading to the front door. As she did so, Dazai would follow her every move and went backwards elegantly, until he arrived at a window that provided a good view of a bedroom for two. He noticed a man sleeping on it with a peaceful smile, deep breaths leaving him.
That, however, didn't last long when the woman came into his view and was holding a long knife in her hand. Dazai's eyes widened at that, his breath uneven as he watched her move towards her husband and stabbed him into his shoulder. She didn't stop there and rolled him on his back to stab him on his chest and face several times mercilessly.
But she didn't seem suspicious... how could she.... she-
Dazai inhaled a sharp breath.
That's when it hit him.
Quickly, he left the scene and went after the other woman. He went past the 16th house and she saw him come towards her, having realised that he was watching her. Panicked, she ran away. Both dashed back to the city and Dazai didn't stop following her while she would try to decieve him by leading him to empty ends but he would never fall for that. The woman acknowledged that this man wasn't ordinary and that he was highly intelligent. They would jump, spin, head left or right, dodge, never getting tired.
An idea slid into Dazai's mind as he would manipulate her to move to a certain direction. The woman turned her head to peak behind her, only to see no one following her. She smirked, thinking she'd tricked him, so she saw a small gap between two buildings and jumped down. Throwing a look upwards in victory, the woman smiled.
However, a body jumped in front of her, wind blowing everywhere and she looked up to see the same guy who was following her. A frown displayed on her face, annoyed at him for wasting her time.
"What a surprise, I finally got you."
Her feet turned to escape but it was a dead end. She started breathing heavily but then shook her head and replaced her face with a serious one.
Dazai let his eyes look downwards, focusing on his feet with a cool demeanour. Crossing her arms, she spoke for the first time.
"What do you want, zombie?" she winced at how she didn't sound as cool as it did in her head.
The other could only chuckle.
"Oh you know, I just saw how a beautiful and innocent woman killed her husband without mercy and, unfortunately, smeared her white skirt with filthy blood. And you were there too," he explained with such confidnece.
She narrowed her eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about. I know nothing about that, I only saw her go inside the house as I waited for their daughter, a friend of mine," she elaborated as her eyes bore into his very being with a smirk.
"You waited for her?" he raised his eyebrows and brought his hand under his chin, "Hmmm, you see, I'm a detective and my colleagues have information about every person living in that neighbourhood. And that family, the Morikawas, as I recalled, didn't have any daughter," he stared at her direction with intimidating brown eyes.
"And even if you did wait for her, why did you run away from me then?"
At first she had a face of terror glued on and her whole body started to malfunction the further Dazai babbled. But then a sadistic smile plastered on her lips instead when she noticed him looking towards her.
"I got you now," her creepy wide eyes stared towards his eyes which didn't move an inch ever since he had looked at her direction.
With a bored expression, he asked, "Hmm?"
She took a few small strides towards him with that same smile. Suddenly Dazai launched a fist towards her which she dodged in time. Her eyes glared at his bandaged balled hand, being caught off guard. "H-How?" she questioned with a stutter. He retreated his arm back beside his body, chuckling. She didn't notice that he had looked past her face, behind her, to deceive her.
A growl left her as she did a fighting stance, "Let's get this finished properly, bastard,"
And so they fought. Dazai would walk backwards as she would repeatedly run towards him, throwing punches one after the other. The male raised his brows, "You're pretty fast, how impressive," he commented monotone, lips in a straight line. He was close to hit the wall and jumped, the female's fist harshly colliding with the brick wall and she yelped.
The young man landed with his two feet behind her, hair floating in a slow rhythm as he kept his eyes closed, smirking. She turned to face him in anger, saying, "Why... you!"
She extended her leg to kick him but he ducked down, legs spread, his beige coat flying with his every move, face as unbothered as ever. "Oh wow you're quite swift, aren't you?," he commented for another time, evidently unimpressed. It pissed her off at how easy he took everything. He was really someting, she thought, she never encountered anyone like him before.
Dazai used some strength in his legs and feet to jump up and basically do a flip above her head as she could only watch. He ducked again, swinging his leg in rapid speed towards her feet which she managed to avoid by leaping and doing a backflip. When she slid against the ground all the way to the wall that blocked her escape from before, she charged at him again, not wanting to give up at all in the moment.
The brunette bounced on the metallic stairs attached to the brick building and stood on it without any difficulty. Following him, the woman copied his actions and took blows at him, not taking a break. Dazai could anticipate every move of her's, thinking that this was child's play.
Then he jumped back down last minute when the railing of the balcony like thing stopped and landed on his feet yet again. The woman however lost her balance and collapsed downwards. Her body forcefully hit the ground, earning a painful groan from her.
Dazai stared at her shaking body getting up on both feet with a mocking grin. Once she composed herself, he looked to his bandaged hand, acting as if it was more interesting than the culprit of the case the three of them worked their asses off for the whole day.
"(Y/n) (L/n)?"
Your head shot up to his face as he said your name. Again, you were taken aback by his behaviour, being absolutely speechless. Who the hell is this guy? Why is he... like that? You gulped, eyes darting everywhere as you were nervous.
"How did you know?" you questioned with eyes narrowed, genuinely wanting to know, since there just was no way. You never saw this stupid ass ever in your life.
He did his stupid smirk again, face very calm and relaxed. "Well... the coat that you're wearing," he pointed to your brown clothing item.
Your eyes increased in size.
Dazai used some strength in his legs and feet to jump up and basically do a flip above her head as she could only watch. Opening his eyes he saw a name engraved onto the back of her coat at her neck in a really small size. 'I see, so that's your name' is what he thought and shut his eyes again. He ducked again, swinging his leg in rapid speed towards her feet which she managed to avoid by leaping and doing a backflip.
"Anyway...." he scratched his fluffy hair, "Where are you from?" his voice
