; they met when they began doing outer banks together. there was a lot of obvious feelings that only ever seemed to go as far as flirting for awhile. they flirted a lot, and fans constantly speculated and shipped them together. one day in the middle of filming season two in late 2020, they were hanging out as they usually would, being such close friends, and drew kissed her. he'd always treated vivienne with so much love and care, even before they ever admitted their feelings. the sudden kiss led to a hookup, and they admitted their feelings after that. they made things official and very subtly dropped hints on social media, giving the fans some very wanted PDA while still not making things super public. at coachella in 2022, they hung out and kissed several times, seeming to publicly confirm what fans were speculating all along. later that summer, drew referred to vivienne as his girlfriend in an interview. after getting engaged and eventually married, they wanted to wait until they were done filming season 4 to get pregnant, but things didn't go according to plan and as filming went on until they finished in june, they managed to hide her bump and have her wear baggier clothes, though that was difficult considering the outfits they wear in the show. regardless of their timeline not going according to plan, they're extremely happy to have a baby.
