Nicholas Scratch didn't know what to think after what Father Faustus told him. Sure, Abigail seemed... violent... but coming from a whole line of witch-killing witches? Nicholas didn't see that coming.
Nick feels bad for agreeing to the High Priest's plan in the first place; he knows what he's going to do one he has Abby in his clutches. Despite her (unfortunate) family past, Abby doesn't seem evil.
But I guess you can never know someone too well, right?

For the first time in her life, Abigail Henson woke up with a feeling of dread pooling in her stomach. Unfamiliar with the feeling at first, the girl simply ignored it and went to greet her cat (which she has gotten strangely accustomed too. Her mother thinks she's going insane), but frowned when she noticed Cleo no where in sight.
Once again, the girl shrugged the weirdness off, and went to get ready for the day. This consisted of her hand knocking over the container of soap about three times and her hairbrush falling into the sink.
But it doesn't stop there.
Abby walked down the stairs after (finally) getting ready, to find her mother and father still asleep, which means they're most likely going to be late for work. After quickly shaking both the adults awake, leaving them to figure out the time of day for themselves, the β lovely β daughter rushed out of the house thinking her day at school will be somewhat normal.
It was snowing when Abby walked outside.
Despite this probably being normal weather in Canada for November, it wasn't for Greendale, and Abby wasn't dressed for it. Realizing she forgot her house keys at home (AKA the one place it shouldn't be), Abby was forced to walked the seven minutes to school, shivering, in a t shirt and a pair of school-merchandise crocs.
Walking into Baxter High, the day only got worse. Somehow, all recent tests Abby wrote in the past week she absolutely flunked, and to top it all off, Maddie wasn't in school. The one day she isn't here, Abby thought to herself, quietly muttering profanities under her breath when walking out of each class.
Unfortunately, one teacher, Mr Bartley, heard her and assigned a two-week after school detention for the use of 'foul' and 'inappropriate' language.
Obviously not going to attend, Abby rolled her eyes and left school early β for the second time that week.
"Stupid American school system," Abby said to herself quietly, walking out the school doors without a care in the world. Forgetting it was still snowing, Abby looked up into the sky, and quietly asked the heavens above what she did wrong.
Not receiving an answer (obviously), the girl continued her walk, "Stupid Baxter High and it's rigged tests. Stupid Mr Bartley and his unnatural hearing." That's how the rest of her walk went. Her ranting about, well, anything, and no one listening to her.
Taking the path through the woods, Abby felt comforted by the emptiness. She felt comforted by the fact that here, in the woods, she can take her time to think.
Which is what she did.
Before a man came out of no where and dragged her into nothingness.

Abigail Henson awoke with a gasp. Not realizing she passed out in the first place, the girl was confused as to where she was.
A couch, was the answer.
And in front of her, Nicholas Scratch.
Abby had to look twice.
"What-Nicolas-What?" The girl stuttered, unsure of what was going on. Nicholas smirked, stretching his arms over his head and sitting back in his chair.
"Cat got your tongue?" He teased, repeating the words he spoke to her when they first met.
Abby blushed, looking down at her hands in her lap. "Where am I?" She asked a few moments later, after she composed herself.
"The Academy of Unseen Arts." Nicholas replied nonchalantly, turning around in his chair to look at the door.
The color drained from Abby's face, "B-but-I thoughtβ" the girl cleared her throat a few times. "This cult place actually exists," she finally stuttered out. Nick's smirk grew wider, if possible, but he didn't say anything. "I'm going to need you to answer me, buddy," Abby snapped, fed up with the lack of reply from the man.
Nicholas rolled his eyes, "Yes this 'cult' place actually exists, Abigailβ" the girl glared, "βnow, there's something I need to tell you." She glared again. "You can trust me."
"I don't believe that," Abby started, but then noticed the urgency on his face instead of that cocky smirk. "But okay," she finished.
"Alright," but before he could finish, the grand doors of the room they were in were swung open, and an older man walked into the room.
"Ms Henson," he greeted, letting the doors close behind him with a loud thud. "I'm so..." he paused, trying to find the correct word to use, "delighted you're here."
Abby looked at Nick in confusion, wondering how and why the strange unknown man knew her name.
"That's good?" Abby tried, but her statement came out as more of a question.
The man rolled his eyes, but you can tell how badly he wanted to restrain it. Must be some sort of a professional, Abby thought to herself.
"Are you aware of why you're here?" The man asked. The girl automatically shook her head. "Well, in that case, you must be wondering who I am. My name is Faustus, I'm the High Priest for the Church of the Night, and the headmaster for the Academy." He could tell Abby looked confused, so he turned to Nicholas, silently asking him to take over.
Nick sighed, and looked into Abby's warm brown eyes, knowing everything will change the moment he tells her the truth.
"Abby, you're a witch."
It was like a glass shattered in the girl's brain, and suddenly, it all made sense.
