Stiles glanced back when the door opened to see Melissa walk in, "You find a tape player?" He asked and she shook her head, "No... But I found someone looking for you." Melissa said before letting Wren walk in and then closing the door. "Hey." Stiles said and Wren smiled awkwardly, "Hey, I wanted to come check up on you. Brunski hit you pretty hard." She said and he smiled softly and nodded.
"I'm okay. How are you? You're the one who got a needles in your neck." He said and she nodded, "Melissa checked me over, nothing got in my system so I'm fine." She said and he nodded. They stared at each other awkwardly before Stiles sighed.
"Wren, I'm really sorry." He said and she sucked in a deep breath and nodded, "I know. I uh- I should- I should go check on Lydia." Wren said and turned around to leave before Stiles could say anything. She went to open the door but the handle wouldn't turn. "It's locked." She said and Stiles looked at her confused.
"Why would she lock the door?" Stiles asked as he walked over and tried to open the door, "Uh... Hey, Melissa? Melissa!" Stiles yelled but obviously didnt get a reply. "I'm sure I break it. Argent taught me how to break door handles." Wren said and Stiles sighed and shook his head, "No, I already owe this hospital enough money..."
"Why would she lock the door?" She asked and Stiles shrugged, "Maybe she didn't mean to." He said and she raised her eyebrows at him. "People don't just accidentally lock a door." She said and he just shrugged again and slightly shook his head, "Okay, well, maybe she wasn't thinking, exactly? Or wasn't thinking it through? You know, people sometimes do things without thinking them through..." Stiles rambled.
"That's completely idiotic." She said and Stiles shook his head, "No, even smart people can do idiotic things! You know, 'cause they think that it's the right thing... And I don't think we should hold it against her, you know, for the rest of her life! Especially because she's tried apologizing hundreds of times through texts and voicemails..." he said and she raised her eyebrows.
"Is she gonna keep doing it?" She asked and Stiles nodded slightly, "She might..." He said and she sighed. "We're not talking about Melissa anymore are we?" She asked and he looked down and slightly shook his head.
"Wren, you've been my best friend for years. I don't want a really idiotic decision I made stop us from being friends. I mean, that's the whole reason I never told you about my crush on you... I wasn't supposed to say that..." Stiles rambled and Wren's eyes widen slightly. "You have a crush on me?" She asked and he sighed, "Yeah..." He said.
"For how long?" She asked and he squinted slightly, "Since 3rd grade..." He said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. "Why didn't you say anything?" She asked and he raised his eyebrows, "Would it have mattered?" He asked. "Yes!" She said dramatically. "God, I've had a crush on you since the fifth grade." She said and his eyes widen, "Really?" He asked and she nodded.
He smiled softly as he stared at her for a moment before she raised her eyebrows. "You gonna kiss me or what, Stiles?" She asked and he nodded slightly, "Right, yes." He said before quickly walking over to her. He grabbed the back of her next before pulling her into a kiss. Their lips moved in sync until the sound of a door creaking open made them pull away and look over to see the door slowly open.
"She did that on purpose." Wren said and Stiles nodded, "Yep." He said before looking at her again with a small smile.

Stiles and Wren sat at his desk with an old speaker in front of them and Malia standing behind them. They were listening to the tapes that Brunski had, trying to figure something out. Malia had her hand comfortingly on Wren's shoulder as they listened to Lorraine's tape.
"Let's go, Lorraine."
"Listen to me... Please, listen. There's something I have to do. Something I have to stop."
"I have to take you back to Eichen, Lorraine..."
"No. No, I don't think you're gonna be taking me anywhere. I can hear the recorder in your pocket. It's on now, isn't it? You're making a tape... Just like you taped the others."
"This didn't happen at Eichen House." Stiles said after he stopped the tape, "But then, where did she go?" Malia asked and Wren sighed and glanced at them. "That's what we need to find out." She said before starting the tape again.
" ...Get back to Eichen, Lorraine..."
"No. No, I don't think you're gonna be taking me anywhere..."
Wren furrowed her brows as she listened to the background noise behind Lorraine and Brunski's voices. "Wait, wait. Play it again and turn it up." She said and Stiles glanced as her before doing it and she listened closely.
"No. No, I don't think you're gonna be taking me anywhere. I can hear the recorder in your pocket. It's on now, isn't it? You're making a tape... Just like you taped the others."
"It's the record player." She said glancing back at Malia who seemed to notice it as well, "What record player?" Stiles asked glancing at them confused. "The one in the lake house, in the study." Malia said and Wren nodded in agreement, "So, she escaped from Eichen House to go back to listen to a record player?" Stiles asked and both girls nodded.
"Well, she was like Lydia, right? She was a Banshee?" Malia asked as she started walking back and forth and Stiles nodded, "Yeah, but only once. She predicted Maddy's death and then spent decades trying to predict something else." He said and Malia slowed to a stop.
"Maybe she finally did..." Malia said and Wren nodded, "And, what if this time, it wasn't just one death, it was a lot of deaths?" Wren asked, looking over at Stiles as realization crossed over his face. "Like the Deadpool." He said, "What if, all those years ago, Lorraine predicted it? And she knew there was something in the study that could stop it?" Malia asked and Wren sighed and stood up.
"Then we're going to the lake house."

The three of them sat in the study listening to the record player until Stiles suddenly sighed and stood up making them look at him. "What are we doing? This room wasn't even made for us. No, we need someone like Lydia, or Meredith, and we're just sitting here, listening to a stupid record player play a record that doesn't play anything." He said before turning it off.
"Come on. There's plenty of other things we can be totally useless doing." He said as he helped Wren up, he started walking away while Malia stopped and looked at the record player, still hearing it. "Guys?" Malia called out making them walk back into the room, "Yes?" Wren asked.
"We can still hear it." She said making them look at them confused, "But it's not on." Stiles said and Malia scoffed slightly.
"Then it's something else- something spinning." She said as she stood up and they walked over to her.
Stiles started looking around the record player until he found a cord going into the wall. He pushed the small table away and glanced back at the girls before pulling at the cord making the drywall around it break. He glanced back at the girls and Wren nodded slightly before he started pulling at it more making the the wall break upwards along with the cord.
Wren walked forward and helped him break of the dry wall to reveal a few large computers behind the wall, "What is this?" Malia asked and Stiles sighed softly.
"The Deadpool."
Malia suddenly went to punch the computers making Wren's eyes widen as she grabbed Malia's arm. "You can't just smash it to pieces. If this thing's being used to disseminate the list, then it's probably gonna keep going until everyone's dead." Wren said and Malia sighed, "Then what do we do?" She asked.
"It needs some kind of prompt or command or something, right?" Stiles asked and Wren looked at the computers before stepping forward, "What about a key?" She asked pointing at a keyhole at the top of the middle computer.
A few minutes later Wren had Lydia on video chat with the camera pointing at the computers, "You see it? There's got to be a way to turn it off, right?" Stiles asked and Lydia sighed.
"I don't know. I don't know anything about computers from the 1970s."
"Neither do we."
"Okay, where's the monitor?"
"There is no monitor. There are buttons, spindles... no monitor." Wren said as she slightly walked away from the computer, not really paying attention to where she was pointing the camera. "Wait- turn the phone back. Point it at the carpet." Lydia said making Wren furrow her browns in confusion before pointing the camera at the floor.
"Where's the stain? There should be red blotches, a wine stain..." Lydia said as Stiles and Malia walked over to Wren,
"There's nothing." Wren said. "That doesn't make sense. I gave the five hundred dollars I was supposed to use to hire cleaners to Brunski." Lydia said as Wren pointed the camera back onto them, "Lydia, what the hell does wine have to do with anything?" Stiles asked.
"Red wine doesn't just disappear...Unless it wasn't wine..."
"What? What do you mean?"
"The ashes weren't ashes... The study isn't a study... The record player isn't a record player... So... So, maybe the wine wasn't wine... You have to find the wine! Find the bottle. There could be something about it."
"What kind? What's it called?" Stiles asked, "It's a 1982 Cotes du Rhone..." Lydia said and Stiles glanced at the girls before running out the room.
"I think there's something inside. Do you have, like, a wine opener, or..." Stiles asked as he ran back into the room and Malia instantly grabbed the bottle and smashed it on the ground, shattering it. "That works too." Wren said before crouching down and sifting through the broken glass before holding up a key.
Stiles grabbed it and ran over to the computers, he put it into the keyhole and glanced back at the girls before turning it. A few seconds later all the computers slowed to a stop making them look at each other. "Does this mean it's over?" Wren asked as Stiles grabbed her hand.
"It's over. The deadpool is over."
