During their first few days on the Isle, Rylee and Morgan started out as part of Uma's crew, but that didn't last long. Not even a week went by before the princesses grew tired of taking orders from Uma and decided to leave her pirate crew to explore the Isle. During their numerous adventures on the Isle, the Auradon natives managed to make a few new friends and form their own little pirate crew.
They finally met Holly Hearts when she tried to steal Morgan's pouch right out of her hand. After remembering what heard about her and seeing that she was all skin and bones, they offered for her to join them as their first crew member. It only took a week for them to discover how smart she was, which also meant she knew every inch of the Isle. Despite having all that knowledge in the palm of her hand, Holly was one of the most skittish people the princesses had ever met.
A few days passed before they met Scar's daughter, who randomly showed up at their hideout. Skyler simply asked if she could stay for a few days before days turned into a permanent stay. Like Holly, the Leeu girl was kicked out onto the streets because she wasn't as cruel or mean as her father. Even though she was one of the nicest people they'd ever met, Skyler didn't take kindly to others pushing her or those she cares for around and knows how to throw a punch if needed.
The last member of their little crew that they found was Gabby Gothel. They came across her in their hideout trying to find something to eat. After realizing how young and malnourished she was, Rylee and Morgan agreed to let her stay with them without a second thought. They soon came to find out that, like Gil, she wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but she came up with some bright ideas when she needed to.
In other news, Morgan and Gil started dating about two weeks after the princess decided to embrace their new lives. According to the Macintosh girl, she was helping him gain more self-awareness but, in the Fitzherbert girl's opinion, he was still pretty clueless. About two days after they got together, Rylee and Harry began...something. The blonde girl still didn't know what to call it. He had been teaching her a lot about the Isle, mostly how to steal and defend herself. Despite what most would think, the Hook boy helped her out a lot.
They just couldn't believe how crazy their lives turned out.

"I know you said your hair doesn't glow when you sing but have you ever actually tried?" Gabby asked for the millionth time while everyone sat around on the couches bored out of their minds.
"My hair has never glowed when I sang," Rylee told her while trying her best to hide the annoyance in her voice, "even if it did in Auradon, I doubt it would here. There isn't any magic"
It wasn't long after that when the biggest puppy-dog eyes the Fitzherbert girl had ever seen appeared on the younger girl's face. "Can you at least try?"
Rylee couldn't fight the sigh that passed over her lips as she continued to stare at the ceiling. When she looked over at the younger girl, she found Gabby still staring at her with a pleading look in her eyes. That look was all it took for the Fitzherbert girl to stand up from her seat before she walked over to stand in front of the Gothel girl.
"If I try, will you drop it?" the blonde girl asked, causing the raven-haired girl to quickly nod before the other three girls begin to crowd around Rylee, "why are you guys so interested?"
"I wanna see if it actually glows," Skyler answered before Holly muttered "same" under her breath.
The Fitzherbert girl just stared at them for a long moment then her attention turned to Morgan. As soon as she made eye contact with her curious best friend, a confused look appeared on Rylee's face. "You know my hair doesn't glow. Why do you care?"
"I just wanna hear you sing," the Macintosh girl responded as her smile grew wider than humanly possible, "you've never sung in front of me before."
The only response Morgan received was an eye roll from Rylee before the latter started to sing the song her mother used to sing to make her hair glow. The Fitzherbert girl watched Gabby with a hint of amusement in her eyes as the younger girl stared at her with so much interest. But what made the blonde girl smile the most was knowing that was the longest time the Gothel girl focused on one thing. When she finally finished singing, Rylee's hair was still her normal, non-glowing, blonde hair. It didn't take long for Gabby to realize this before she let out an annoyed sigh. Just as the Fitzherbert girl was about to open her mouth to speak, all of their stomachs rumbled simultaneously. The Gothel girl's scowl soon turned back into her usual smile before they all laughed as they got up from the couches.
"Fish and chips?" Holly asked just for everyone to agree with her before they grabbed their jackets and made their way out onto the streets of the Isle to get some food.
On their way to Ursula's Fish and Chips, the group of five stole a few items from the passersby. It wasn't much, just some cash and a few knickknacks, but it was enough to get them some lunch. On top of their small findings, Rylee managed to snag a silver pocket watch for Harry to add to his collection. The Fitzherbert girl just stared at it with a large smile on her face before placing it in her pocket right as she felt someone's presence next to her. When the blonde girl turned her head to see who it was, she found Morgan gazing back at her with a large smile on her face.
"Look what I got for Gil!" she exclaimed before holding a brown bandana up into the air.
"Isn't that like the one he always wears?" Rylee asked in an unimpressed tone with an eyebrow quirked at her best friend.
"No. This one is a lighter brown," Morgan explained, only for her blonde friend to raise both of her eyebrows before the former let out a small laugh, "either way, he likes bandanas. He'll be happy."
The Fitzherbert girl simply rolled her eyes at her redheaded friend before they finally arrived at their destination. When the five of them entered the shop, they instantly spotted Uma serving customers while Gil chowed down on his food. A smile appeared on Rylee's face as she watched Morgan rush over to Gil and handed him the bandana. The two of them had an inaudible conversation before the Macintosh girl took some of his food, causing him to glare at her. Rylee watched them for a moment longer before she gestured to Holly, Skyler, and Gabby to take a table. Once they were settled, she walked across the room where Uma was writing down customers' orders.
"Hey!" the blonde girl greeted, making the daughter of Ursula look up at her with a hint of annoyance in her eyes, "where's Harry?"
The only response Rylee received was a simple shrug before Uma turned around and walked into the kitchen. The princess did her best to suppress an eye roll just as the door swung open to reveal Harry. The son of Captain Hook walked into the shack with a smirk on his face and three fish on his hook. Once he handed the fish over to a waitress, Harry walked over to where Rylee, Morgan, and Gil were. The Hook boy didn't hesitate to push one of his crew members out of the way before he jumped over the counter. After he placed a kiss on the blonde girl's cheek, he spun around to turn on the TV.
"So, what have you been up to?" the Fitzherbert girl asked as the raven-haired boy placed an arm around her shoulders.
"The usual," he responded with a smirk that Rylee gladly returned before she reached into her pocket.
"For your collection," Rylee said as she showed him the silver pocket watch. The smile on her face grew as she watched him examine it before she placed a kiss on his cheek. "Stole it on the way over here."
"That's my girl."
It wasn't long after that when Uma walked out of the kitchen and placed a try in front of Rylee and Harry. While the son of Captain Hook began digging into his meal, the princess looked over at the daughter of Ursula to find her glaring at the TV. Rylee's eyebrows scrunched together in confusion as she watched Uma take some of their food and throw it at the screen. When she finally looked over at her shoulder to see what had the pirate princess all riled up, Rylee saw Mal being interviewed by a crowd of people.
"Poser," Uma muttered under her breath while Rylee and Morgan exchanged a concerned look.
"Traitor!" Harry shouted as he forced the Fitzherbert girl to face the screen before putting his arm around her once again.
If there was one thing Harry, Gil, and Uma would never understand, it was Rylee and Morgan's loyalty to their friends back in Auradon. So, when everyone in the building began throwing food at the screen and shouting insulting names at Mal, the two princesses grew very uncomfortable. It wasn't long before Rylee's attention was drawn away from Morgan when she felt Harry take his arm off her shoulder. Her eyes stayed glued to him as he took a few steps closer to the TV.
"Oh, I would love to wipe the smiles off their faces," Harry said before wiping the food off the screen and turning around to face Rylee once again, "you know what I mean?"
All the Fitzherbert girl could do was nod as she forced a smile onto her lips before looking over at Morgan again. The Macintosh girl was just staring at their friend on the TV screen with a blank look on her face.
"Gil!" Uma shouted, causing Gil to face her and Morgan to jump, "you want to stop choking down yolks and get with the program?"
The blonde boy just stared at her for a long moment before swallowing his food and sending her a large grin. "Yeah, what they said."
Uma let out a long sigh before turning her attention back to her crew. While she spoke to them, Rylee and Morgan made their way over to their crew who were sitting at a table in the far corner.
"Why are you guys so jumpy whenever they talk about Mal?" Holly questioned after the princesses took a seat in the last two chairs available.
"Because we're still friends Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos," Rylee whispered while looking back over at the pirate crew, "and they definitely wouldn't like that."
"Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is," Gabby stated before she popped some of her food into her mouth.
"Yeah," Skyler said while using her thumb to gesture toward Uma, Harry, and Gil, "if you like those four, they should understand that."
"Be quiet," the two princesses hissed, annoyed with the fact that the daughter of Scar didn't know how to whisper properly. Gabby, Skyler, and Holly sent Rylee and Morgan small smiles in response before all of them looked back over at the pirate crew, only to find everyone looking up at Uma as she stood on the counter.
"When I get my chance to rain down the evil on Auradon, I will take it!" the daughter of Ursula exclaimed as she looked around at her crew members surrounding her, "they're gonna forget that girl and remember the name-"
"Shrimpy!" Gil shouted with confidence in his voice and a large grin on his face.
"Your boy's in trouble," Gabby quietly teased Morgan after watching Uma shoot the son of Gaston a glare.
"Better get out there before he gets lost," Holly joked as they watched Harry escort him out of the building.
The three girls continued to laugh before Morgan let out a long sigh and walked out the door to join Gil. It wasn't long before Rylee's attention fell back on Harry as he walked across the room with a smile on his face.
"Ready to go have some fun?" he asked while Holly, Skyler, and Gabby went back to eating and avoiding eye contact with the Hook boy.
"Always," Rylee answered before getting to her feet.
After telling her crew to head back to the hideout when they were finished eating, the Fitzherbert girl followed the raven-haired boy out of the shop. A somewhat uncomfortable silence surrounded them as they walked down one of the alleyways. Right as they reached the middle of the alley, Harry came to a sudden stop in front of Rylee before turning around to face her.
"Why didn't you and Morgan throw anything at the TV?" the raven-haired boy questioned, causing the color to drain from the blonde girl's face.
"Uh, everyone else was so I...I mean, we didn't really see the need to," the Fitzherbert girl lied before watching him quirk an eyebrow at her as a smirk formed on his face.
"Remember, Ryls, I was born here. I know how to lie. You...you do not," Harry told her before leaning closer to her without letting his smirk falter, "do you want to go back?"
"What? No," the Fitzherbert girl answered quicker than she expected she would, causing a wave of confusion to wash over her. However, she quickly shook it off before she could think too much about it and let out a long sigh. After managing to regain her bearings, Rylee looked back up at the Hook boy with false confidence in her eyes. "I shouldn't have to explain myself to you."
The two of them had another one of their glaring contests while Rylee silently prayed their conversation was over. She knew that if he pushed her any further, she would break and reveal the truth to him. To the Fitzherbert girl's surprise, Harry slowly nodded in response before they continued down the alley hand-in-hand on their way to cause some trouble.
