Nikshant's pov:

I left the room. I can hear her sobbing from behind, but I ignored it. I don't fucking care if she cries or does anything else.

I walked straight out of the house, got into the car, and drove away.

I need to calm the storm inside me, and there's only one thing that can do that: alcohol.

My car stopped in front of the club, and I got out and went inside. Once inside, I headed straight to the bar counter and sat on one of the chairs there.

The bartender gave me whiskey, and I gulped it down.

"Ohh, I didn't know Nikshant Roy Kapoor would be in a club instead of spending his wedding night at home," I turned around and saw Yash approaching the bar counter.

"That's none of your business," I said sternly.

"It is my business because, no matter what, you're my best friend," Yash said.

"Did you do the task I asked?" I changed the topic.

"I told Ravi, but he's busy with other work right now. Besides, he's coming to India in a month," Yash said casually.

"I don't have a month. Every time I see my so-called wife, those photos come to my mind," I said.

"You have to wait and don't do anything rash that you'll regret later and won't be forgiven for," I chuckled at his words.

"Nikshant Roy Kapoor never regrets anything he does, and as for asking for forgiveness, Nikshant Roy Kapoor neither asks for nor will ever ask for forgiveness from anyone," I said.

"Such arrogance isn't good, Nikshant. This very arrogance might be your downfall," Yash said.

"Forget all this. Go home now, it's very late," Yash said.

I nodded.

"And yes, as I said before and I'm saying it again, bhabhi didn't do it," Yash said.

"How do you know she didn't do it?" I asked.

"Because she has an innocence on her face that no girl has these days," Yash said.

"Ohh, so now that girl has cast her spell on you too," I said sarcastically.

"Bhabhi hasn't cast any spell. I just told you what I felt. Now do whatever you want," Yash said and left the club.

"I shouldn't have called him. He just gave me a lecture," I said and got up from the chair and walked out of the club.

When I reached home, I went upstairs and headed to another room.

My eyes fell on my room, whose door was open. I peeked in and saw Aaravi sleeping on the floor. I went into the room, sat in front of her, and started looking at her face closely.

She is indeed beautiful.

If she had told me before the wedding, there wouldn't be a trace of pain on her face today.

I picked her up in my arms, laid her down properly on the bed, and then left the room and went into another room.

When I came into the room, I changed out of my sherwani and put on trousers, leaving my upper body bare. I lay down on the bed, closed my eyes, and started recalling that day.

Flashback

I was sitting in my office cabin, working, when someone knocked on the door. I told them to come in and saw a peon standing with a box in his hand.

"Sir, someone sent this for you," the peon said.

"Leave it on the desk and go," I said coolly.

The peon placed the box on the desk and left the cabin. I picked up the box and started unboxing it. Inside, there was a letter. I took the letter and began reading it.

Dear Mr. Kapoor,

This is a small gift from me. I am sure you will never forget this gift.

I looked at the box again, which had a white envelope inside. I picked up the envelope and opened it. Inside, there were some photos.

I looked at the photos and was shocked.

There was Aaravi Sachdeva sleeping with a man. The man's face wasn't clear, but Aaravi's face was very visible.

I looked at another photo where she was sitting on a man's lap.

There were many such intimate photos.

Seeing all this, my eyes turned red, and I felt anger rising. I looked at the box again and noticed there was another letter inside. I took a deep breath and started reading the letter.

I hope you liked my small gift. I wanted to inform you about the actions of your future wife, chosen by your family. And don't worry, these photos are only with me and you.

Anger rising in me, I quickly got off my leather chair and left the cabin.

I will show my grandmother what kind of girl she selected for me.

Reaching the ground floor, I went to the parking lot, got into my car, and drove away, speeding through the wind.

When I reached home, I went straight inside.

Inside, I saw Mom, Aarav, Aahana, and Grandma talking about the wedding. There was a wave of happiness on everyone's faces, and seeing that, I didn't have the courage to speak.

After so many years, seeing everyone happy, I didn't want to make them sad by telling them...

Grandma said, "Oh Nikshant beta, you're home early today."

I said, "Yes, there wasn't much work today."

Grandma said, "It's good you came home early today; there are still many rituals left to do. Freshen up and come."

And I went straight to my room.

Miss Aaravi Sachdeva, if you had told me about your affairs before the wedding, I might have considered forgiving you. But if you didn't tell me, be ready to see the worst side of Nikshant Roy Kapoor. If I don't make you feel pain, then my name isn't Nikshant Roy Kapoor.

Flashback end

Start counting your bad days, Aaravi Sachdeva, because if I don't ruin your life starting tomorrow, just wait and see.

And I closed my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.

Aaravi pov:

I slowly opened my eyes.

I said, holding my head, "Aahhh."

My head was hurting badly.

I said painfully, "I shouldn't have cried so much, Aaravi."

And I got up from the bed.

Wait, wait, I fell asleep on the floor while crying, so how did I end up on the bed?

(A / N  - Your devil husband put you to bed.)

But I brushed that thought aside and went to the washroom. After taking a shower, I realized I forgot to bring my clothes. I opened the washroom door slightly and saw that my devil husband wasn't in the room. Once I was sure he wasn't there, I quietly came out of the washroom, put my suitcase on the bed, and started taking out my clothes.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of the door opening, and my eyes widened in horror. I quickly looked toward the door, and there my husband stood frozen in place.

I screamed, "Aahhhh!"

He also screamed, "Aahhhh!" but he didn't turn around. He just stood there looking at me.

I said, "picche mudo" I could feel my cheeks warming.

( Turn around! )

He said, coming closer to me,"Why main kyun picche mudu tum toh meri patni ho mujhe tumhe aise dekhne ka haq aur bina towel ke bhi dekhne ka haq hai so mujhse maat sharmao wifey,"

(Why should I turn around? You are my wife, and I have the right to see you like this, even without a towel. So, don't be shy with me, wifey)

My eyes widened even more.

I quickly grabbed my towel tightly and looked into his eyes, which were filled with mischief.

I said in a horrified tone, "Don't come near me. I'm warning you, don't come near me."

He said, coming closer, "Why shouldn't I come near you?"

Some flashbacks appeared before my eyes, and my breathing became rapid. I could feel my hands starting to shake.

Panic attack.

He said with concern, "Hey, hey, Aaravi, what's wrong, Aaravi?" He patted my cheeks, and everything started to turn blue for me.

He said, "Aaravi, inhale deeply and exhale, okay?" I began to follow his instructions.

"Yeah, just like that," he said.

When my breathing returned to normal, I looked into his eyes, which now showed curiosity and concern.

I quickly grabbed my clothes and ran to the washroom. I didn't want to face him. I knew he would ask me about my panic attacks, and I don't want to tell him right now.

Whenever I try to start my life anew, my past triggers me, and then the panic attacks come.

In the mirror, my reflection said, "One day, you'll have to tell him about your past, Aaravi."

I said, "What if he leaves me? What will I do then?"

My reflection said, "If you keep being afraid like this, you'll never overcome from your past. If you want to overcome it..."

"I want to, I want to get over that dreadful night," I said, trembling.

"Then you have to face your fears and confront those who made you like this," my reflection said.

I closed my eyes, and when I looked in the mirror, my reflection was gone.

I put on my clothes and came out of the washroom. I saw Nikshant ji waiting outside.

He looked at me and said, "Make breakfast for me, and ask the chef what I usually eat for breakfast." Then he went into the washroom.

I went to the mirror, applied vermillion, and went downstairs to the kitchen. In the kitchen, I saw the chef giving instructions to the workers. After that, the chef saw me and wished me good morning. I wished him back.

The chef asked, "Ma'am, do you need anything?"

I replied, "What does your boss eat for breakfast?"

The chef said, "Ma'am, boss drinks black coffee for breakfast."

I muttered, "That's why he says such bitter things."

The chef asked, "Ma'am, did you say something?"

I said, "No, no."

"You all can leave now," I said, and everyone left the kitchen.

I tucked my pallu into my waist, tied my hair into a bun, and started making breakfast.

I finished making breakfast in just half an hour. I started preparing black coffee for my devil husband. After making the coffee, I took a tray with the black coffee and toasted bread and left the kitchen. I saw Nikshant ji sitting at the dinner table, busy on his phone.

I approached him and placed the tray in front of him. He looked at me, took the coffee from the tray, and brought it near his mouth for a sip.

I was about to say that the coffee was hot when he took a sip hastily. He quickly spat out the coffee from his mouth. I quickly grabbed a glass of water and went to him to give it to him.

"How hot is this coffee? What's your plan to kill me?" he screamed in anger, and I flinched. The glass slipped from my hand and shattered on the floor. Some shards pricked my feet, and I felt the pain.

"Do you even know how hot this coffee is?" he roared.

"But now you'll find out," he said and grabbed my hand, dipped my hand into the hot coffee.

I screamed in pain, "Aahh, please let go of my hand!"

The coffee was so hot that I could feel my hand burning.
