Please be active during and a few weeks after the awards in case I need to contact you regarding your entry(s) and/or prizes. Once all the prizes have been settled, you can disappear all you want :)

🍷| don't try to bribe or negotiate with me about my rules
I want to give everyone a fair chance to get the recognition they want, but at the end of the day, it's my awards and I won't read what I am uncomfortable reading so I have the right to reject your story if it isn't something I'm comfortable with. That's final

🍷| don't try to cheat me of my time and effort
You're not allowed to withdraw from this awards after the results have been released, unless you've got a valid reason that'll be considered on a case-by-case basis, nor are you allowed to undo the payments after receiving your rewards. That's just unethical, rude and a complete waste of my time and effort that also robs someone more deserving from getting the chance to participate

🍷| accept the end results with an open mind
The reviews I give are purely my opinion and my taste in reading. Even if I'm not 100% sold on your story, I still aim to give constructive, honest and fair feedback to help you grow and not tear you down. However, if you aren't happy with it, that doesn't give you the right to hate or badmouth me. Do remember this when the results are released

🍷| only the placings and final scores will be published so there'll be a time period for the collection of the reviews and other prizes but you'll be responsible for collecting it
• The prizes will be made available after the results of each category are out.
• You'll be given two weeks to collect your prizes before I delete them on my end to clear up storage
• To collect your review and other prizes, I'll make my usernames on certain platforms availble available. All you have to do is send a text on the platform of your choice with your username, category and story title. Do note that for certain platforms, you may have to send a friend request or your account must be made public. More details will be released at the end of each results chapter

𝐈𝐈. 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

🍷| all entries must be your own work
• The story must be written by you, not by AI, or anyone else on Wattpad or other platforms. I don't have time to filter through all the entries, but if I suspect your work might be generated by AI or copied from someone else, I will look into it
└─ editing softwares, like Grammarly, autocorrect, Google docs and Word, are fine
└─ AI detectors that may be used if you're suspected of AI usage: QuillBot | Scribbr | ZeroGPT | Undetectable AI | Grammarly | Writer

• for the aesthetics and characters mini categories, the entered graphics must be done by you and only original characters can be entered

🍷| all stories must be in English

If your story has a few words or phrases in other languages, it is fine as long as English translations are provided or the meanings explained in the same chapter

🍷| some themes will not accepted so please don't enter them
I am uncomfortable reading the following themes:
└─ religious or cultural themes with the exception of Christianity or Chinese traditions — I don't have knowledge of other religions and cultures to be able to judge the content properly
└─ lgbtq — if it's mentioned in passing, that's fine but if it's a main theme, then no, I'm not comfortable reading it
└─ sexual content — if your story contains a few of such scenes, do indicate which chapter(s) in your form and I will skip over it but if it takes up majority of the story, then I won't accept it
└─ glorification of sexual assault, racism, crimes etc — glorification as in encouraging it or putting it in an appealing light; pretty self-explanatory I believe

🍷| you can enter up to three stories in different categories with maximum two categories per story
You can enter Story A into Categories 1 and 2; Story B into Categories 3 and 4; Story C into Categories 5 and 6. Do note that you can't have two of your stories in the same category
└─ categories include genre, mini and Saviour of the Seven Seas | Grand Winner

🍷| your story must have at least seven chapters, excluding author's notes, character info, aesthetics etc, with the exception of certain categories
• Exceptions: short story | poetry | best plot | best world-building
└─ short stories must not be more than five thousand / 5000 / 5k words
└─ best world-building and best plot entries must be completed but not the whole story may be read depending on the number of chapters, just enough to get a good sense of the story
• For the main genre categories, unless you can guarantee that you'll have seven chapters published before the start of December, then I can accept your form first but please indicate it under your form. If your story isn't anywhere close to seven chapters on 30 November 2024, your story will be removed and the slot opened up to someone else

🍷| for short story and poetry collections, you can only submit one of the stories or poems to be judged

🍷| for the fanfictions, you can enter them into their relevant sub-categories but I only accept certain fandoms and stories that aren't in the list won't be accepted as I don't have the proper knowledge of them to judge properly 
A full, comprehensive list will be made available in the Emergency Meeting chapter

🍷| don't edit any of the existing chapters when judging starts
• Once I judge your story, I won't re-judge it because you made some changes so if you edit it halfway through the judging period, it'll be your loss because
└─ the feedback might not be applicable or very helpful to you

└─ the story might not get the recognition it deserves due to only being edited during the judging period 
• You can edit your story any time before judging starts but you can continue publishing new chapters even during judging

𝐈𝐈𝐈. 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇
🍷| forms must be filled out completely and neatly in one inline comment
• The password is your favourite mythical underwater creature (that'll be your "avatar" in this award).
• If you need to split your form, then reply under the original comment. And make sure to copy the template questions in the comment properly or it'll be considered incomplete and/or messy. An example is in the comments section —

🍷| don't fill up a form for a category that is already full
Always check the availability of the category you want to enter before filling up the form. If it clearly says that the category is closed, don't even try

🍷| please use the account your story is on to fill the form
• I will be noting down the entries under the username that filled the form only. This is to prevent confusion on my side
└─ Although there is a line in the form that asks for your username, but that is only in case Wattpad glitches again and doesn't allow me to tap on your pfp to bring me to your account
• If your story can't be found under the account used to fill the form, you'll be disqualified

𝐈𝐕. 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒
🍷| if you have any doubts, don't be afraid to ask them in this chapter or the Final Declarations chapter

🍷| try not to change your username or story title during judging period
If you do change them, do inform me immediately. If you and/or your story can't be found during judging, your story will be immediately disqualified. I'm not going to sift through all the forms to find your new account nor do I have time to confront you about it.

🍷| if you wish to withdraw from the awards before the results are out, do inform me immediately
• You aren't allowed to withdraw after the results of any one of the categories you've participated in is out, unless you've got a valid reason but that'll be taken on a case-by-case basis
• If your withdrawal is successful, you'll be removed from all the categories you're participating in but if you've won any placings, the title(s) will go to another participant and you won't receive the participant prizes

🍷| you will be held reliable if you don't receive any updates due to not following the rules and payments closely
If you don't receive updates due to Wattpad glitches, I won't fault you for that but do have proof to support your claim. Do note that I'll also be aware of any major glitch so don't try to take advantage of this
