Even without needing to point it out, you knew that you were behaving strangely in the next morning.
You weren't the sort of person to pick over your food during lunch because you were so lost in your thoughts, and you weren't the sort of friend that wouldn't listen to their friends while they were in the midst of bearing their latest problem at school.
But surely this single instance of change in your behaviour for today was understable.
You weren't trying to be rude, not on purpose. You were just trying to force yourself to remember what had happened during the drive home with Jay.
This is the first time you drink alone and it lead to this. Your life is surely full of unwanted surprises.
"Alright", Heeseung said abruptly, reaching forward to take your chopstick that you'd been randomly poking in your rice, "Is there something the matter with you?"
You started, looking up at him with wide eyes, "Huh?", you asked, very so unlike of the fearless Y/N.
"You're obviously freaking out about something", Sunoo pointed out, briefly looking up from his bowl of soup, "It's not the sort of freaking out over your grades like to me, so what is it?"
"Nothing", you insisted, snagging your chopstick from Heeseung.
It would be so easy to ask them if they had some inkling what happened between you and Jay - but what were you supposed to do if they found out?
Sunoo nudged Heeseung with his elbow and just like that, both of your closest friends among the boys in this school abandon their lunch in exchange for turning their attention to you.
Sunoo crossed his arms and propped them on the table while you avoided their eyes, turning once more to your rice.
"What time did you get back to our dorm?", Heeseung probed, "I didn't see you get to your bed the whole night"
Answering the truth would bring more trouble, you knew it. But not answering would bring more trouble. Refusing to answer would have the curious little Sunoo trailing after you all day to find out what was bugging you because he didn't want you keeping secrets from him.
So if you were hiding something, it must've been a catastrophe that was going to wipe out all life on earth.
"This morning, I woked up in Jay's bed and I'm drunk yesterday night", you admitted, barely in a whisper.
You peeked up at your friends from under your lashes, watching the slow smirk that slid over Heeseung's face and to your horror, Sunoo teasing oohed and nudged your shoe with his.
They're not the person you need to talk, obviously.
"Don't be hissy about it", you hissed, realizing how much attention your table was getting because of the two, "I can't remember what happened last night at all"
"Nothing? You remember nothing?", Sunoo checked and when you nodded, he uncertainly gives Heeseung a look.
Your eyes settled on the gesture, recognising the tell - he knew something means he had seen to it.
Under your gaze, he cleared his throat and murmured, "I was up last night in the lobby doing my homework when I saw Jay hyung leading you up towards the dorm rooms"
"And you did nothing?", Heeseung turned accusingly towards Sunoo who avoided his eyes, "How did you not notice how drunk she was? She can't remember anything"
Sunoo gnawed on his lips, "Listen-"
"No", Heeseung cut him off loudly upon realizing more people is looking at your table.
You cast a fierce glance around until everyone had looked away to mind their business, whatever that is.
And then once you had no listeners, Heeseung shifted back to Sunoo, "If he took advantage of her -"
"I don't think he's that sort of person", you cut in quickly before Heeseung could get more angry. Sunoo looks relieved that you were interceding, "Come on, Hee, you know Jay longer than me?"
"Alright, fine", He sighed, rubbing at his temple as if he was getting stressed, "But what if he was drunk as well?", then he lowered his voice and said pointedly, "What if you were both too drunk to use protection? What then? What if you're carrying the new Park baby inside you now?"
"Stop!", you said sharply, too horrified at the thought of it, "My god, if that was the case, prepare my grave"
This was all one big mess. Surely, Jake who still didn't break up with you, at least verbally, would not receive this issue very well. How can you explain it to him without him getting more mad?
With another irritated sigh, you cut out Heeseung and Sunoo's squabbling over how they should follow Jay from now on, and you instead looking at their topic from his table he shared with exactly the other forms of problems.
By saying it was a form of pretty humans, you mean Jake and Sunghoon along Kai.
You were certain that Jay would know the truth and the alarm bells is ringing as he is heading straight to your table next.
Holding back complaints from your mouth, you silently pleaded to all the spirits in the world that he wasn't coming towards you and looked down at your forgotten rice with chicken.
Please, walk past. Please, walk past me, Park Jay.
"Y/N", Jay called out your name when he was close enough and you struggled not to groan as it earns the eye of Jake and Sunghoon.
With the exception of Huening Kai focusing over his food.
Lifting your head, you watched his approach with daunting anxiety and threw your friends a pointed look when Sunoo began to outrightly smile at him. What you wouldn't give to be able to hide right now.
When he got close enough, Jay stopped before you and offered you a sweet smile. Unable to stop yourself, your eyes looked over at him in search of a sign of something - whether it was a tired eyes from a hang over or even the horrifying presence of a hickey.
There was nothing. But then, his shirt and jacket could hide the ones from the other part of his body.
Jay sat beside you, sitting the wrong way with his back to his friends. He continued to smile softly at you and you struggled to return it but you did, eventually.
"So", he started slowly, searching your face, "is your hangover gone?"
"Yeah", you said, nodding slowly for Heeseung to stop Sunoo from joining the talk.
"Alright, good. Jake have to force me into drinking a coffee to get over mine", he said, reaching out as if to pat your shoulder and clueless to the fact, he said the alarming thing.
You eyed his approaching hand with a distrust and seeing this, Jay frowned but relented, moving away, "Tell me if you felt something else"
"Okay", you said simply, watching him stand and head over their table. Even if he did throw one final glance from over his shoulder.
"What do you think?", you asked, turning and looking between your two friends, "Do you think anything happened last night?"
"It's hard to say", Heeseung murmured, looking back at Jay who was now seated at their table and talking to Jake, which was a more scary sight.
Sunoo snorted, "It was all there in his eyes, and why is he asking her to tell if she felt something else than a hangover?"
"Oh god, save me from this", you complained, burrowing your head into your hands.
You were not scared of everybody finding out about your mistake with Jay, but of what will your mother says about it if you really get pregnant.
This will earned you nothing but a slap from her.

Oh god.. What did you just do, Y/N?
What if she really gets preggy and it's the baby of Jay?
