When the next day arrived for your date, Heeseung woke you up early to make sure you didn't oversleep and in your half-sleep state, he rummaged through your closet to pick what you'd wear for the day.

You were simply too tired to bother arguing against him and wore what you were given as he pushed you in the bathroom before waiting for you in the living room.

Then you were in for the shock after you were finished changing into a dress on top of a grey turtle neck. Decent yet cute but what is Sunoo doing here?

The boy forced you to sit down before the mirror as he handle your hair and make up, "It would only be a natural one, I promise"

Personally you didn't understand why they wanted to make over you so much. Sunghoon had already seen you in your most barest face and you must've walking around in school looking like that, so really what was the point?

"We just wanted to make the other guys here be jealous of him", Heeseung said to be clear while you were struggling as Sunoo tugged at your hair to straightened it, "Like you know, of Jake and Jay"

"You're really loving the drama between them, do you?", you told them with a roll of your eyes.

"This school had never been exciting until you came to give it an excitement", Sunoo added as he makes you face the mirror again.

You have to give them credit for making you feel pretty for once and you never really cared about it much because you thought what's more important from you is your brain.

It can bring you to the top without using the beauty you have. Never would you be one of those girls using their face to climb up their way to success.

What would you do with only being recognized by your visual with people ignoring the other assets you have?

Like what they did to Audrey Hepburn when she is more than her beauty. She helped a lot of people until she grew old but many seems to only love her younger pictures.

When you reached the entrance of the dormitory, you were grateful to have Heeseung and Sunoo, to hide behind them because of all the eyes you were receiving. But personally, you find it offending for them to be whistling your way, at least many of them did so.

You removed them from your mind when you exited the hall and found Sunghoon waiting with his friends. At the sight of Jake with him, you weren't prepared to walk up to him alone.

Reaching out to take Heeseung and Sunoo's arms as they stand on either side of you, you sent them a look and after a few moments, they get the message of staying in your side until it's only Sunghoon for you to face.

Sunghoon spotted the three of you and waved you all over while behind him, Leo is already patting Jake as Jay covered Kai's mouth before he could comment on it.

They really have to be there to watch the spectacle.

"Should we get going?", Sunghoon asked once you were beside the boys, "We don't want for this priers to follow us all around"

He made no comment on your two friends who were now behind and Heeseung is now sharing a teasing look with Sunoo as they stared at the two J's.

All of you made a large group as you all headed for the parking lot in the side. There wasn't really a moment for you and Sunghoon to talk because of the others and you wondered if that annoyed them.

But he didn't say anything so you thought he didn't.

When you reached his car, he was quick to gesture all the other boys as well and you watched as Sunoo ribbed him gently about being impatient.

"It's not like we would steal her away from you!", he added as Jay soon went to him to cover his mouth.

You briefly caught Heeseung's eyes as he was led away by the rest of the boys. He sent you a final encouraging grin and you smiled reassuringly at him. What were the chances you were going to screw this up majorly?

"So where do you want to go first?", Sunghoon asked you, pulling you from your thoughts once you were inside his car, "To a coffee shop?"

The face you made was a purely visceral reaction. You never wanted to set foot in another coffee shop again soon, each meeting there always ended in a serious conversation about your life.

You hesitated wondering if he wanted a simple date, "Actually -"

Sunghoon chuckled, "Don't worry, I'm not going to force you in there", at your grateful smile, he admitted, "Actually, I've never gone into any kind of date, so I have no idea what I was doing"

"I can't say the same for me", you replied, biting your lip tentatively.

And now that you think about it, you must have dated two of his friends now. Fake with Jay. Briefly with Jake, but still, how awkward it must be to go around them in circles?

What's next? You dating Kai or Leo?

Never. That's enough with the three of them. No more would be added in the problem.

Sunghoon took one look at your expression and gestured for you to talk freely, "Is there somewhere else you'd rather go?"

"Maybe to the mall?", you suggested hesitantly, watching as his eyebrows flew to his hairline in obvious surprise, "Do you not want to?"

"No - no, I do", he assured you as he drove out of the school property and into the road, "It's just - I never thought you would want to be seen there with me"

This confused you, so you asked curiously, "What's the problem with it?"

"Do you even know who I am?", he asked back, eyes focus on the road.

"Are you really that famous?", you'd never really taken notice but then, you've never given it much thought.

As it turns out when Sunghoon began to tell you how he is not only famous as an ice skater, but the media is hot on their heels, to any sons of the biggest benefactors of Bighit Academy since they were all a part of the elite families in South Korea.

And then he pointed out something about you, "If you were finally introduced to the welcoming party of your dad, then you will learn why"

"Sounds like my nightmare honestly", you commented, not happy to be a part of their world.

"Why would you not want to if it's going to make life easier for you?", he questioned.

"You see", you began, to make it all clear for him, "That's the last thing I want in my life. What I want is to work hard for anything, so that I would know I deserve it"

Sunghoon nodded, "I can understand why because I've seen the other kids our age was taking advantage of it"

"And only for them to cry why they don't know anything once they grew old and it's useless", you shake your head at the fact you were having this kind of conversation with him.

"So what else do you have to say about people like that?", he asked and your eyes drifted to him in shock, shock that he was interested.

Mostly, the other people your age doesn't want to talk about serious stuff. They'd rather give their attention to such useless things that would not help them in their future.

They might be right about living in the present and you only live once, but those beliefs leads them to being lazy and once they become an old women or men, all they have is regret.

And you knew to yourself, you could only enjoy life once you become rich and had worked for it in the future.

When the two of you reached the mall, you made a beeline for the bookshop; you were desperately in need of new pad of paper and some red pens. Peering down at the display of works from Haruka Murakami, you looked down at the blurb before growing aware of the eyes trained in your face.

"What?", you asked Sunghoon defensively, looking at him from the corner of your eye.

"Your face lights up when you're excited", he noted as if it was a casual observation.

You cleared your throat, walking forward to the section of the papers and from the corner of your eye, you saw Sunghoon grinned at your embarassment as he followed you, watching you with a small smile.

"You know, I've never expected this would be the first place you take me"

"Well, maybe you should learn from me to get a better taste at girls", you muttered, throwing a look at him.

"I don't know about that", Sunghoon reached out to tuck some of your hair behind your ear, fingers brushing against your cheek as he brought his hand back to his side, "I happen to think that I have a pretty good taste"

Heat rushed to your cheeks and you turned away from him to hide it as you murmured, "Stop that"

Sunghoon chuckled but said nothing else as you decided on to buy at least three pads of paper and a box of red pens along a book of Haruka Murakami.

Once you had made your purchase - which Sunghoon paid for despite your protests - the two of you stepped back into the bustle of the mall.

As the two of you walk side by side, you noted that he was walking closer to you than he had when you first arrived. But you saw no need to mention it.

In fact, you might have moved closer to him as a result. Sunghoon definitely noticed that and grinned, turning his eyes skyward for a moment.

"Where to next?", he questioned, looking down at you.

"Why don't you pick?", you suggested, and gestured to the shopping bag of yours that he was carrying.

He insisted on carrying it for you, despite that you could have carried it yourself.

"I picked up the first destination, so it only makes sense for you to pick the next one"

Sunghoon was teasing as he suggested, "How about we watch a romantic movie?"

You shook your head, speeding up to walk past him and called out over your shoulder, "Fine, but this will have to be a one time thing then"

"Well, we can't have that", Sunghoon declared, using his long legs to catch up to you, "I definitely want to repeat this"

All he receives from you is a laugh, but the direction you were going for is the cinemas, so he knows despite of you acting otherwise, the movie date is still on.

Sunghoon knew well that even a tough girl such as you would fall into the trap of his handsomeness.

He was confident about that more than his friends.

Into the middle of the movie, you tucked your hand into your pockets because of the coldness but when you glanced over at Sunghoon, he was offering his hand, so you take it before he hold and hid it in the pocket of his jacket.

It was kind of sweet really and you looked up at the movie for a while, loving the warmth that he gave as he soon settled his head down your shoulder.

"Well, this is disappointing", you said, if only to hide how this is getting awkward for you.

"Have you ever been inlove?", he just asked all of sudden, the same time the main guy asked it to the main girl in the movie.

It's a weird question for you, and if anyone else where to ask you about it, all they'll receive is nothing. And you wanted to tell him that even though you'd never been in love, you knew what it was like to be in a feeling.

To be not just surrounded by it but also permeated by it, by the way your mom talked about her love for your dad.

"I can't tell if this is a regular silence or an awkward silence", he whispered from against your ear.

"What gets me about the point of being inlove is the pain it will bring to you", you replied to say something.

"But how will you learn then if you were so scared about it?", he corrected, having you figure out by now.

"Right, whatever you say", you started, thankful that you were far from the others watching, "But the really scary thing is not trying, it's the turning point in your life", and he just listens, "It feels like getting sucked into a whirlpool that shrinks and shrinks your world until you're just spinning without moving"

"And?"

"Stuck inside a prison that is exactly the size of you if you get broken by love", you explained the way you understand it, "until you realized that you're not actually in a prison cell. You are the prison cell"

"Because you were the one to bring it down into your life, is that it?", Sunghoon asked for a clarification.

You shook your head, "Because you need years and years to pay for your sins. In other words, you were the only one that can get yourself out there", you cleared for him to understand.

Because the person you know that was in the prison cell with her own broken heart had never done the job for her. If anything, you just see her added more years to the confinement of her heart inside.

But at the moment, it was so much easier to talk to Sunghoon in the dark, looking at the same big screen instead of each other.

It felt like the both of you didn't have bodies, like it was all just voices talking.

"I think you can apply it also not solely in love but with the other aspect of our lives", he said, trying to get your meaning deeper.

You looked over at him and find yourself suddenly wanting Sunghoon badly enough that you no longer cared why you wanted him, whether there's an obstacles or not.

And it was to his shock when you reached over, touch his cold cheek with your cold hand, and began to kiss him.

When the two of you came for an air, you felt his hand on your waist and he said, "I, uh, wow"

You smirked for causing Sunghoon to be flustered. And this, you realized you liked the feeling of one of his hand tracing down your spine, "Got any something to say?"

"I'm just speechless because you actually take the first move", he smiled shyly as he stares at you, not caring about the movie anymore, "Have you ever done this with the-"

"This is about us", you said, and kissed him again, feeling your chest tightened.

All you could feel is his cold lips and warm mouth, his hands pulling you closer through the layers keeping the two of you spaces apart.

Your shared breathing with him steamed up in the air conditioned place, and he tried to wave them away, but you stopped him, and then you were laughing together with Sunghoon as everybody laughed inside the cinema.

And then he started kissing your neck after tugging down the collar of your turtle neck top and a thought occured to you, can you really let this happen?

You told yourself to be in this moment, to let yourself feel his warmth on your skin, but now his tounge was on your neck in a public place, and isn't this getting too far?

This is the same reason why you pulled away and Sunghoon asked immediately in panic, "Did I do something wrong?"

You nodded, "I just, I need a little air", you sat up, turned away from him and quickly just gestured to focus in the movie.

And just like that, the heated moment had end to make way for an awkward one until you get home later on with Sunghoon not saying anything about the kiss.

Not even when you see Jake is waiting at the entrance and you just waved at him before running all the way to your dorm.

Heeseung then has to suffer with you screaming to him what had just happened.

You know, he knows, you'll be in more trouble soon with the realization you might replaced Jake with Sunghoon.
