Mrs. Nam had this knack of knowing exactly when to end a meeting. Today was no exception.

She dismissed all the tutors as she returned to her desk, placing the report cards of the tutees the students submitted in her bag as she prepared for all of you to leave one by one.

You focused on packing away your things as Heeseung chatted away happily beside you. His words trailed off mid-sentence, making you look curiously towards him.

He watched an approaching individual and you did a double take when you see the ice skater walking towards your desk in the conference hall near the faculty's office.

Coming to a stop before your desk, Sunghoon grinned at the two of you. Heeseung and you shared a look, waiting for him to say something.

"Do you want to go on a date with me?", he questioned, your eyebrows rising at the bluntness.

He hadn't even bothered to say hello and how were you supposed to know that he isn't asking Heeseung instead?

It was as if your roommate heard your thoughts as he asked, "Which of us are you talking to? If it's me, nope, you're handsome but I'm straight as a pole"

"It's Y/N, of course", Sunghoon said with a bashful smile, rubbing the back of his head. Turning to Heeseung, he added, "Just ask out your crush"

Heeseung rolled his eyes, nudging you in the side when it became evident that you weren't going to say anything. You were still recovering from your shock that he wanted to go out with you.

Especially with what he witnessed from the house of the Hwang family.

Sunghoon cleared his throat, looking at you with a hopeful expression, "Wha about it, Y/N? We could go anywhere you like"

You contemplated for a second, coming past your shock. Saying yes is already there at the tip of your tounge, had you not looked past him and saw Jake with Jay watching from over his shoulder.

Leo is with them as well, gesturing to Kai at your direction and you sighed, not wanting another drama of theirs.

When you rised to your feet and slung your bag over your shoulder, you prepared to leave.

"Did you really have to ask me in front of them?", you asked as you walked around him.

Brushing past Sunghoon before he could answer you, you gave Heeseung a grateful smile then threw a disappointed look at him and walked after you.

He linked his arm through yours as he began to mutter about how Sunghoon should think of a better timing and you were grateful that he didn't tell you, you were overreacting.

Heeseung, out of everyone, would know how the situations with the three of his friends was becoming problematic, so it's better if Sunghoon asked you out alone.

You thought that your dismissal of Sunghoon had ended the matter, but clearly you had been wrong.

He appeared in front of you within seconds after having run from your classmates and with his arms spread out on either side of him, he blocked the path, so you couldn't brush past him.

"Sunghoon please", you muttered, watching some hesitance flickers in his eyes.

"I really want to go out in a date with you", Sunghoon explained earnestly, eyes on yours.

"Are they okay with this?", you questioned with a raised eyebrows.

He lowered his arms, placing one on the spot above his heart, "I swear, this is about us, not about them"

"Why?", you can only ask due to undying curiosity.

"Why?", Sunghoon chuckled, as if he couldn't believe what you're asking, "Because you're you, you're amazing"

Your eyes widened at the blunt confession even if you're already used to it and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't stop the smile from coming into your face.

You cleared your throat and looked away from him, pointedly ignoring the teasing snickers Heeseung gave at his words.

Wasn't he supposed to be the one with the clear head in this situation?

"So?", Sunghoon questioned again, tucking his hands into his pockets as he stared down at you, "Will you say yes?"

You couldn't bring yourself to look at him, even as you nodded and you just couldn't, not when his friends is watching now from afar, probably even listening.

But really, do they have the right to be upset when Jay or even Jake is not your boyfriend?

You're still free to do whatever you want.

"That's nice to hear", you could hear the smile in Sunghoon's voice as he went on to say, "I'll meet you at the entrance of the dorm tommorow?"

"Sure", you said quietly, biting your lip as you watched him closely, "It sounds like a plan"

"It sounds like a date", Sunghoon corrected, eyes twinkling with joy.

Before you could suffer more under the scrutinizing attention of the other boys, you linked your arm through Heeseung's and hurried away and heard Sunghoon lightly chuckles from behind him.

You distantly heard him murmur cute and you dismissed it lest your roommate decided to look and catch the small smile in your face.

As the two of you approached the dormitory, Heeseung broke his silence and dissolved in laughters and the moment you entered the dorm room, he teased you that you were finally managing to break out from being a manhater.

He even went on to ask you how you'd managed to be irresistible, and honestly, you had no clue.

No matter how mature you had assumed Jake to be than the other boys, when it came down to it, he was just like every frustrating boy in the academy.

The ridiculous boy was going out of his way to avoid you after witnessing the moment with Sunghoon.

And when he couldn't avoid you in the classes where you were sitting close to him in some instances, he spent th entire lesson staring straight ahead and didn't even bother to glance your way.

So you ended up deciding that two can play that game.

He wasn't being exactly subtle of his avoidance. Even your classmates had noticed and while they know the reason, they were worried that something else had happened. But they didn't questioned you about it.

They only asked about it when it became obvious that you were going to remain tight-lipped about your supposed falling out with Jake.

Which was ridiculous because as far as you know, the two of you hadn't even fight to each other.

"What's going on between you and Jake?", Jay asked as the two of you walked towards History, "Did the two of you have a fight?"

"No", you muttered, rolling your eyes at the question, "If we had a fight, then you'll see a red mark on his face. But we haven't had a fight"

"Something's happened though?", he asked tentatively and you nodded, "Or is it about Sunghoon asking you out?"

"Maybe", you agreed with that theory.

Jay nodded at your insistence, taking it that you won't to talk about it anymore. And he must already have an idea since he was also there as an eye witness.

Without a word, Jay slung his arm over your shoulder and the both of you walked into the classroom. He squeezed your arm comfortingly and with a reluctant smile, you followed him into the seats.

Your eyes instantly went to the desk that you always sat at in this subject before drifting towards the boy sat in the side beside yours.

Jay released your shoulder, walking to the desk behind your usual one and you hesitated for a moment then walked past a silent Jake, past the desk you usually sat in, and settled into the space beside Jay.

If Jake was capable of freezing you out then you could do the same to him.

Jay threw you a cautious glance when Sunghoon came into the room but said nothing as he met your eyes. Instead, he began to chatter mindlessly and you knew that it was done purposely to fill the awkward silence.

You give him a smile and put your bag on top of your desk, pulling a notebook out and pretended not to see the glance Jake threw at you from over his shoulder.

So now he was starting to seeking you out when he saw you only talking to his friend.

When the lesson began, you did your best to turn your attention away from the boy sat in front of you but it was hard to do so. Just staring at his back, you were so tempted to shake him and demand to know what you had done to be so wrong.

As you chew the end of your pen, you turned to Jay who was busy making notes. You really should have been paying attention to class but it was near impossible to do for the first time.

"Jay", you called out quietly.

He tilted his head curiously towards you without turning his eyes away from his notebook, "Yes?"

"Am I so selfish to do whatever I want, but what if I'm just doing it to make someone jealous?", I asked, a little bit loud for Jake to hear.

The question startled Jay so much that his pen scraped across the paper in surprise, "What the hell are you saying?"

"It's nothing", you said, clearing your throat and turning your back to the lecture, "Forget it"

But Jay hadn't. He was just shaking his head at you, as if it was in disappointment and still, he was clueless to the fact, that maybe just maybe you have feelings for two persons now.

Is it really possible to happen?, is the question.

The rest of the lesson past uneventfully as you forced yourself to pay attention to the teacher. Thankfully, it came to an end and you couldn't have been readier to leave the room and to leave Jake behind.

"I'll go now to my dorm room", you told Jay in your haste to get away.

He nodded, waving you away absentmindedly as he rummaged through his bag. You rose quickly to your feet, brushing past a still seated Jake and heading to the door.

You were already out in the doorway when Kai cut in front of you, staring down at you when you tried to dodge past him but you couldn't, he's a giant.

"What do you want?", you demanded, crossing your arms, "I'm not in the mood to deal with you right now"

"What's going on with you and Jake?", he asked, repeating the exact question from Jay.

"I don't think this has anything to do with you?", you retorted and questioning why they were including themselves in the problem.

"Maybe not", Kai agreed, but still continued, "but I don't like seeing one of my friends get hurt. Maybe the others will soon feel it too. Aren't you being a little cruel to them?"

"Maybe I am", you licked your bottom lip, nodding your head slowly, "but if you're so curious about what's going on, ask Jake and not me"

"Y/N please", Kai protested as you managed to dodge past him after seeing Jake is approaching with Leo.

Of course, Jay and Sunghoon is just a little ways behind them. Now you were having a hard time to stay around them once again.

"Look Kai", you let out a sigh and turned to face him, "This might seem cruel to you but this is just my way of protecting myself from being hurt by someone who decided to avoid me, so drop it"

As you hurried away from them, you pretended you hadn't seen Jake coming from behind Kai and you especially pretended not to see the way your words made his face fall.

Jake had no reason to be looking like that, not when he was the one who started it.
