Mitsuya x [male] reader

You ran never looking back behind you, the road the pavement was filled with water as the sky let down its tears. Your breath started to run out the more your legs carried you away from your home. Your vision was extremely blurry not allowing you to concentrate on your path.

Slipping onto your grazed knees once again, this time drawing blood, but you didn't care you kept on running whilst yelling all your pain out.

Arriving home, you unlocked the door with a spare key and your smile faded due to the sight of your step father aimlessly drinking away and scrolling through his phone not even caring who was at the door for him.

You inhaled a deep sigh before speaking. "Kaito-san." You spoke, not once have you even referred to him as your father you never saw this helpless figure as your father after all he has never shown you respect or love he didn't care. "Do you know where okaa-san?" You said rather quickly not wanting to interact with him.

After finishing the alcohol in his hand he replied without taking his eyes of his phone. "Hospital." The man answered, not a hint of sadness in his voice. You weren't shocked your mother was quite wealthy and you knew he was only with her for the money but your mother was blinded by his fake love to notice.

Hearing the news, you jolted out of the house pushing your legs faster than ever before. Entering the hospital you sped straight to whichever random room your mother was in. Her health condition wasn't the best and it was getting worse day by day you prayed that noting had happened to her.

"Excuse me sir, is something the matter you shouldn't be running down the hallwayA nurse had stopped you, which luckily you could finally catch your breath. "M-my mother is she in hospital, miss L/n Emiko." You said frantically, trying to get a quick answer out of her.

"Are you perhaps her son?" The nurse said hesitantly, you nodded confirming it. She gave a sympathetic look and announced the news. "Unfortunately she had passed away an hour ago." She didn't look at you, feeling sadness for you. You didn't want to believe anything you heard, your mother dead? Your knees felt weak as the nurse guided you to her room where her lifeless body was sleeping.

Soon stopping to catch your breath and swallowing the lump that settled in your throat. You looked up at the grey sky, the fresh rain swiping your salty tears away. "Why.." You whispered to yourself, "Why did you leave me okaa-san.." You finished, you just wanted to hear her voice one more time she truly loved you, she'd give up everything just to see your smile light up. But now she was gone forever.

Your sobs were soon stopped by a familiar voice. "Y/n?" Turning around to be met by Mitsuya, your best friend. Feeling your eyes swell up again you stepped closer to him letting your head fall onto his chest which was protected by his green coloured coat while letting your cries fall free now. "Hey,hey what's wrong?" He asked, worry spread across his voice rubbing your back trying to comfort you.

"She's gone. Okaa-san she's gone.." You mumbled, saying each word in between sobs. He stopped his action, looking down at your depressed state. "I'm so sorry Y/n." Mitsuya said, wrapping his arms around you, trying to make you calm down. Your mother loved him very much, he always thought of her as a mother as well. All the happy times were almost always generated by her.

"Everyone keeps leaving me am I curse what's wrong with me I should just disappear!" You yelled, clenching your fists tightly. Mitsuya peeled himself off of you and looked deeply into your hurt eyes. "Don't say that, you have me don't you? I'll always be here and you know that, nothing will change that. Your
the best thing that's happened to me and I don't ever want anything to happen to you. Your mother would be very upset to hear you say that about yourself, she'll always be in your heart." Mitsuya said poking his index finger on your chest.

This time you let your tears run down uncontrollably. You appreciated Mitsuya deeply, never once has he left your side. "So where do I go now because I'm certainly not going back not until that man is gone out of my house." You stated not letting a single word stutter."With me." Your eyes shot up at him, his purple orbs looked at you innocently he was definitely not joking.

"You wouldn't mind, what about Mana and Luna?" You implied, remembering his little siblings. You heard him chuckle, "Your my best friend I'm not leaving you alone in this mess and Mana and Luna love you they get more happy seeing you more than me sometimes." Mitsuya said, not wanting you to overthink it.

You smiled at his statement, but your mind reminded you of his parents. "But your-" He cut you off placing a finger on your lips. "They like you a lot you know plus they're mostly away so they wouldn't mind." His reassurance made you feel a little better, the weather started to clear up as you looked upon the road with countless cars zooming past.

A calm silence was implanted for a few minutes before you broke it. "Don't leave me." You said, continuing to stare at the road in front, although Mitsuya looked at you with questionable eyes. "Don't leave me ever, ok?" You repeated again, this time turning to look at him. A smile was decorated onto his face as he agreed.

"I wouldn't dare to." He stated, bringing himself closer to you. The close proximity threatened to make your cheeks heat up. You were too much in a daze to realise Mitsuya moving close and pecking your lips. The sudden action made you stumble back but luckily Mitsuya caught you just before your body landed on the wet concrete.

"Be careful now." He said, chuckling to himself looking at your shocked face as you were trying to get something out of your mouth. "Now let's go home shall we." Mitsuya finally said, bringing you to your feet once again. Shaking you head, you  saw him beginning to walk to the direction of his house.

"Hey! You can't just do that and then walk away!" You shouted to him, trying to catch up but Mitsuya quickened his pace and then it turned into you trying to catch him whilst he ran as fast as he could from you. A smile laced onto both of your faces.

You were so thankful for him, you couldn't think of life without him. You knew you two would never leave each other, ever.
