𝘈𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳.

Juniper's head was laying on Finnick's chest, the rest of her body was cuddled next to him. His arm was around her, drawing circles on the back of her shoulder. Finnick was smiling to himself, just looking up at the ceiling.

It was definitely a weird feeling for the two of them. But, it was a good feeling. 

Finnicks eyes drifted from the ceiling to the girl that was laying on him. If he could smile any wider, he would. Juniper knew he was looking down at her, so she readjusted- taking her head off of his chest and laying on her stomach to face him.

"What are you looking at?" Juniper asked, his eyes hadn't left her. His eyes drifted between her lips and her eyes. He was quiet at first, not knowing what to respond with. One of his hands rested on her back, and it traced up her bare skin to her hair, playing with the ends with his fingertips.

"Some girl. She can sing, she has beautiful eyes..." Finnick winked and Juniper rolled her eyes, smiling. She got up a bit, sitting on her ankles. She hugged the blanket to her skin to cover her.

"You're so corny." Juniper answered, earning a small laugh from Finnick. He sat himself up, his hand behind her head gently pushed head forward and their lips connected. It was a quick passionate kiss. Juniper pulled away, getting out of the bed.

"I need to see Lilo and check how Lennox is doing." Juniper grabbed her clothes off of the floor and slipping them on, Finnick sighed, getting out of bed himself and getting dressed. "What's wrong?"

Finnick looked up at Juniper and shook his head. "Nothing."

"Something is wrong, and you're not telling me." Juniper crossed her arms, Finnick stood in front of her with no shirt on, but, she kept her stance. "Every time I mention Lennox, you-"

Something in Juniper's head seemed to click and her jaw dropped slightly and she smiled knowingly at Finnick. He seemed to know that she knew, and he began shaking his head.

"No."

"You're totally jealous of Lennox." Juniper lightly punched him in the shoulder. Finnick acted hurt, sitting on the end of the bed. She had completely caught him.

"He's my best friend, who was engaged to my other best friend. You can't possibly think there's something between us?" Juniper questioned, taking a step towards him. Juniper loomed over Finnick and he just looked up at her, he shrugged.

"You guys just seem so close." Finnick said, looking away to another part of the room. He didn't get intentionally jealous, it just happened. Whenever he saw the two together, especially during the arena. Even long before that- something in his heart burned to wish it was him with her instead.

"I promise, Lennox and I are nothing." Juniper lifted her hands and placed them on the sides of Finnick's face, forcing him to look at her. "What part of 'I want you and only you' did you not understand?"

Finnick smiled, remembering what she had told him last night when they were laying in bed. 

"I believe you." Finnick said. Juniper gave a questioning look to him and he repeated himself. She smiled, laying a kiss on his lips. He attempted to reach out to lay his hands on her hips but she backed away.

"We should visit Lilo." Juniper bent down to the floor, picking up Finnick's shirt and throwing it at him. He caught it with one hand and rolled his eyes, slipping it over himself.

"She won't believe us when we turn up together." Juniper said, the both of them stepping out of the room and making their way to the hospital wing. Finnick laughed. 

"Well, I do love to shock people. So this will be great." Finnick said back.

Though, Finnick didn't actually know what to expect. He didn't know how everyone viewed Juniper's feelings towards him, but he felt as if his were pretty obvious. Katniss figured it out, he felt as though it wouldn't be much of a shock.

Juniper took a deep breath before walking into the hospital room. It wasn't as packed as it was yesterday, however, nurses and doctors still filled the room.

"Juniper!" Lilo said, the voice getting closer. Before Juniper could even breathe the air in the room, Lilo had tackled her. Juniper stumbled a bit, but Finnick put a hand on her back to make sure she wouldn't fall over.

Lilo noticed Finnick standing behind Juniper and backed up and looked at the two, crossing her arms. Juniper and Finnick looked to one another and had to hold in their smiles.

"Don't tell me." Lilo pointed between the two of them, but then put her pointer finger to her lips, narrowing her eyes. "You two are standing next to each other. Willingly!? And you haven't even made a comment!" Lilo smiled, she rose her hands to her face and covered her mouth overdramatically.

"You two are finally getting along! Who knew after how much I pestered you two about talking to each other, all it really took was me to get kidnapped!" Lilo said. Finnick laughed a bit, covering his mouth. Juniper rolled her eyes at her sisters humor.

"Come here." Juniper pulled her sister to her and wrapped her arms around Lilo. 

The Plinth sisters were back. It had been too long. Whether Juniper showed it or not, she was so relieved her sister was safe and unharmed. She never wanted to let her go again.

"Juniper, you're crying." Lilo said, pulling away from her sister. Junipers hand rose to her cheeks and wiped away the fallen tears.

"I'm just relieved you're okay." Juniper said, smiling and nodding her head. "I missed you." 

"I missed you, too." Lilo smiled. Finnick walked to Lilo next, wrapping her in a tight hug. He was also relieved, his best friend was back. "Okay, but seriously. You two are actually getting along? What did you do with the Juniper and Finnick I know?"

The couple rolled their eyes and just looked at one another with questioning looks, debating whether or not to tell Lilo. 

"You two are like, communicating with your eyes and I don't like it." Lilo examined the two of them, who said nothing. But Lilo noticed something on Finnick's neck. "Same clothes from last night. Oh my god."

Puzzle pieces seem to connect in her head, finally. She covered her mouth and took a step back. Juniper and Finnick continued not to say anything. She kept whispering random things to herself. 

"Oh my god, you're totally getting together!" Lilo yelled, in the middle of the hospital room. Juniper jumped forward, covering Lilos mouth with her hand and looking around the room, smiling at a few doctors who glanced over.

"Shush!" Juniper said. Lilo licked Juniper's hand and Juniper wiped it on Lilo's hospital gown. 

"Hey, that's not sanitary." Lilo pushed her sister away jokingly. "Anyway, the doctors told me you'd probably come by. But, they aren't sure if you should see him right now."

Lilo stood there awkwardly, Finnick and Juniper furrowed their eyebrows, unsure of what was the matter. Juniper placed a hand on Lilo's shoulder. She picked up her head and sighed.

"The Capitol, they gave Peeta something. When Katniss visited him last night, he attacked her. He almost killed her." Lilo admitted, the couple were taken aback to say the least. They were a bit busy with... other things last night. "Nobody knows if they gave Lennox the same thing, he won't talk."

"Is Katniss okay?" Juniper asked. Lilo nodded. "What about Amirah, have you heard about her?"

"She's beaten up, but she'll be okay. That's what I overheard. She's in the hospital now, too." Lilo took a breath. "Amirah is a bit shaken up, I don't know what they did to her. She won't talk either."

Juniper realized that seemed to be a pretty common thing between all of them. Every other day, one of them always ended up in the hospital wing. Katniss the most.

Juniper looked over at the room Lennox was staying in and headed over there. Finnick put a hand on Lilo's shoulder and gave a reassuring smile before following the older Plinth. Juniper looked inside the room and saw him just laying there, staring at the wall.

"Miss Plinth, we don't know how wise it is for you to go in there. We don't know if he's... hostile."

"Please, all of these people had just gone through hell, and you won't allow him to see his best friend? You don't know what they went through." Juniper got in the doctors face, but Finnick pulled her back by her waist.

"Maybe she can help." Finnick offered. "He hasn't seen a familiar face in a while, I think it might be a good idea."

The doctor sighed, the two were hopefully. However, it was a tough fight. With Peeta attacking Katniss, Lennox could do the same. However, Juniper trusted him with her life. The doctor opened the door, allowing the two of them to step inside. 

Juniper went in and expected Finnick to follow her, but he stood by the door- ready to shut it.

"I'll be here just in case, but I trust you." Finnick nodded and Juniper smiled, nodding back at him. The door shut and Finnick stood watching. It was just Juniper and Lennox in the room now.

Lennox was looking off to his left, silent. He looked so pale. Juniper slowly walked over to the end of his bed.

"Lennox." Juniper said quietly, but it didn't get his attention. "Lennox." 

When Juniper spoke a bit louder, Lennox's head shot over to look her way. She couldn't tell how he was feeling. She noticed the bags under his eyes, the small scars that were on his face. She saw some of the bruises near his collarbone, but the rest of them were covered by his hospital gown.

He laid so still, Juniper didn't know what to say. She wanted him to go first, but she wasn't sure he would at this point. However, he sat up a bit, straightening his posture.

"Juniper." He voiced. His voice was low and cracked. Juniper gave him a small smile and nodded, holding back her tears. "Nina's gone." 

Lennox broke down. Juniper walked over to the side of his bed and sat on it. He kept shaking his head, mumbling about Nina. Not being able to save her, seeing her die, her screams. Juniper wrapped him in a hug. She placed a hand on the back of his head, wanting to shield him from the world if she could. 

"Lennox." Juniper whispered. "I'm so sorry."

"She's gone, I couldn't save her. I-" Lennox couldn't continue his sentence, it was just blocked out with more cries. She rubbed the back of his head, she slightly shook her head. She wanted to know what the Capitol did to him, but at the same time- she didn't want to know. All she knew is that Snow would pay for what he did.

"It's not your fault, okay?" Juniper whispered. Lennox shook his head, disagreeing with her. "No, it's not. The games are at fault, Snow is at fault. It's not you. There was nothing you could do."

Lennox was silent, but eventually responded with a slight nod. His sniffles still filled the room, his tears wet Juniper's shirt, covering her shoulder. 

"I need you to promise me something, okay?" Juniper asked, pulling away from him and placing her hands on his shoulders. He looked up at her, it broke her heart to see him like this. "You need to keep trying your best, okay? Nina loved you, she wanted the best for you. You have to keep going for her, okay?"

Lennox looked down at the blanket, he nodded. "I promise."

"I'm so glad you're here." Juniper hugged him again. 

"Is Odair going to keep peeking through the window, or actually come in?" Lennox dryly said, laughing to himself. Juniper laughed, waving for Finnick to come in- which he did a bit awkwardly.

"Hey, Lennox." Finnick stuck his hands in his pocket, walking towards the bed. Lennox's eyes were glassy and red, but he looked between the two and smiled to himself, shaking his head.

"I don't even want to know, right now." 

The three of them laughed. Finnick put a hand on Juniper's shoulder and they both looked down at Lennox, who was smiling up at them.
