"I didn't even do anything, what is his problem?", you mumbled sitting cross-legged on the edge of the bed.

The other two wolves in the room exchanged looks and sighed.

"You shouldn't have tried to run when we told you", Hoseok shook his head in disappointment but didn't make you feel as guilty as Jungkook did, mainly because he understood the situation you were in and from your point of view, he might have tried the same thing.

"Don't worry, he's just upset that other people in the village know about you, that makes your life in that much more danger, but we promise nothing will happen to you", Jin reassured before turning to leave with Hoseok.

You could hear all the commotion outside, you could hear Jungkook trying to talk over the crowd as you bit your finger nervously.

Suddenly you saw two other wolves barge into the room,  a first aid kit in one of their hands.

"We were told there was an injury so here we are", Jimin stated proudly.

Once their eyes landed on your bleeding feet, they gasped.

"That looks bad but don't worry, we'll get you better in no time", Taehyung commented as he kneeled to get a closer look at your feet.

"I-I can do it myself", you moved your feet slightly away from him.

"No can do, Jungkook told us to get it bandaged", Jimin approached Taehyung as they were both now analyzing your bleeding feet.

Why did Jungkook care you were injured, this must be all part of his plan, instead of letting you die, he wants to make you live longer so he could torture you.

"Why would you listen to him anyways?", you asked as the boys had already began preparing the bandages. It was weird to see them so civil as if they had been humans before they were wolves.

"He is the leader of the pack, the town leader too actually and despite being the youngest among us, he gets the position because he's the alpha", Jimin explained.

They had begun applying the long rectangular bandage around your feet and you would be lying if you said you didn't feel a bit better.

The aching pain in your feet was slowly yet surely disappearing and maybe this way, you could actually walk around.

"Thank you", you sent a short smile their way.

"You're always welc-", Jimin had begun his reply as he looked over to your face only to see the small scar outlining your left cheek. His eyes widened as he nudged Taehyung who then did the same.

"I-Is something wrong? Did I say something wrong?", you asked watching the boys' faces grow in bewilderment.

"Umm no, n-nothing is wrong", Taehyung nervously chuckled going back to his work.

Well that was weird.

They began to whisper about something, stealing glances once in a while at you.

The fire lit up the rather dark village. It was night time meaning everyone was asleep accept the seven wolves who gathered around the fire once more.

"So what did you tell them?", Namjoon asked Jungkook referring to the village.

"I told them she'll be gone soon, they don't need to worry about her", he replied.

"She'll be gone soon? you can't do that now?", Taehyung asked, well aware that you were Jungkook's mate.

"She has to leave, we can't keep her, what would we do keeping her here?", Yoongi asked.

"Oh so you haven't told them either", Jimin narrowed his eyes at Jungkook who uncomfortably tried to look away.

"About what?", Jin asked as the wolves exchanged looks amongst each other.

Jungkook bit his lip nervously, what was he going to do hiding it anyways.

"T-there's a scar on my left cheek", Jungkook blurted out as the wolves looked up at him.

Some felt stupid for not realizing it sooner.

"Congratulations! who is she?", Hoseok asked.

The question Jungkook wanted to avoid for as long as he could.

"I-It's the princess", he sighed in defeat, he could never come in terms with this, ever.

The boys gasped but Jimin and Taehyung already knew. It was very rare to get a human mate but it was always never good.

"You know you have to tell her", Namjoon stated.

"I don't want to", Jungkook replied.

"You can't run away, you'll only hurt yourself", Jin explained.

"And isn't this a good thing? you found your mate", Yoongi commented.

"Its a human hyung", Jungkook stated disgustingly.

"This is fate and as far as we know, fate has never been wrong, maybe you don't know what this means now but you will and it will all be for the better", Namjoon answered.

It was easy for Namjoon to say that when he didn't have a human as a mate Jungkook thought.

He knew whatever would happen, instead of making you a hostage, he had to let you leave as soon as possible.

If he didn't, you might figure out the truth and then what would happen?

Fate might never be wrong but Jungkook would try running away from it for as long as he lived.

Everyone was fast asleep, the moon shining its brightest against the rather dark sky.

You had suddenly awoken, mumbling something as you did so.

You were on a bed, the same one you were tied to in the start of your day here.

It took you a while to realize where you were and what had happened.

You recalled after Jimin and Taehyung had left, you had fallen asleep and time had flown just like that.

Your leg was still bandaged, the pain was still lingering, a little less although.

One look out the window and you could tell it wasn't exactly morning because it was still dark.

You contemplated staying inside but the cottage felt suffocating and if you couldn't sleep, you weren't going to stare at the wooden walls.

You got up quietly despite no one else being around, you weren't trying to escape this time, something assured you that you could trust that they would let you go.

Plus, you were not about to run on a bruised feet.

You whimpered slightly, trying your best to not put most of your weight on the injured feet.

You stumbled and limped out the door.

As soon as you stepped outside, you were in awe.

You hadn't seen the night view of the forest and it was beautiful. Unlike the castle, where the moon was far away, swept amongst the clouds, from here, it was shining so brightly that you were sure you could reach out and touch it.

You saw other cottages around the village, dispersed so they weren't all huddled in one area but spanned all around the forest.

You walked lightly to a log situated in front of a lake.

You took a seat and just admired the sight before your thoughts came crashing down on you.

How was Nora doing?

Had they already given up searching for you?

Only a sudden growl interrupted your train of thought.

You looked around with a pained expression to see a wolf on your left  making its way to you. This had happened before and you were still not used to it.

Even though you were practically surrounded by wolves, it still put you into a panic mode.

You grabbed a nearby branch as a make shift stick to shoo the wolf away.

"G-get away, I'm warning you", you stated, trying your best to sound stern.

You shut your eyes in fear but when you opened them, you saw a smirking Jungkook.

"A stick? that's your weapon", he chuckled, sitting on the log as well.

"C-can you not scare me like that again", you sighed in relief, putting a hand to your chest.

"Can you try to follow what you're told then, you had to stay in the cottage", he rolled his eyes.

"I'm not some prisoner who has to be banished between four walls", you certainly had no idea where you had the sudden confidence to retort back like that.

Jungkook sighed, not wanting to say anything else as he stared out into the view of the lake and the moon.

He had found you on a limb because he felt a sudden ache and it had to be you. It must have been your bruised leg you continued to walk on even though you were told not to. You were stubborn, Jungkook had caught on to that really quick.

"What time is it?", you asked, dangling your legs on the log.

"Around 2 am", he replied.

Now it was clear why you were awake since you seemed to always be unable to sleep at odd hours in the night but why was Jungkook?

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?", you asked curiously.

"I can't sleep", he was back to his short replies.

"Any specific reason?", you asked.

It was you, you were the goddamn reason. If you were awake, he was awake and if he was awake, you were awake so it was self explanatory why the both of you couldn't sleep but only one of you knew, Jungkook.

Since you were human, you would feel the effects of a mate as minimal whereas Jungkook felt them much more intensely. Humans typically didn't have mates and so they weren't accustomed to and couldn't acknowledge it. It was especially harder when the wolf would dismiss the bond too like Jungkook would continue to do for the rest of his life.

"It's not your business", he coldly stated, the same thing he would say when you asked him practically anything.

You sighed, keeping your mouth shut because you rather enjoy the view than deal with a devil.

Somewhere in another cottage in the same woods, the old lady sat crookedly on her seat.

The door opened and closed as the old lady was alerted.

"What took you so long!", she sighed.

"S-sorry grandma, I was collecting some news for you", the young girl bowed.

"Out with the news then", the old lady replied.

"The alpha" she gulped knowing her grandmother wouldn't like the news.

"He found his mate", she looked defeated, for more reasons than one.

"What nonsense Sheila, you're his mate!", the old lady yelled.

"It's not, I'm not, I overheard them, it's the stupid human they brought here", Sheila frustratedly let out. She couldn't keep pretending what wasn't the truth.

"Poor girl, you're really going to let a human become a luna?", the old lady cried.

"That's pathetic!, you have to carry out our legacy, you have to snatch that from her you hear me! do whatever it takes!", the old lady commanded.

Sheila knew somewhere that this was wrong, all of it. Fate existed for a reason and now they were plotting against it but she could never go against her grandmother's greed and hunger for power.

"I'll do whatever it takes", she mumbled.

Instead of stopping all of this, she would set out to ruin your life.
