Leonor
"Oh my gosh!" Sofia screamed in my ear.
"What is your problem?" I yelled, angrily shoving her. We were sitting in our hotel room in Barcelona. It was decent sized, with two queen beds and a living space big enough to be a separate bedroom.
"Look!" She yelled again, practically shaking with happiness. I had to grab her phone from her just to see what she was showing me.
"Barcelona is sending us both custom jerseys!" Sofia squealed, this time standing up and jumping around in excitement. I couldn't help but smile at her actions.
She showed me the picture up close. There were two red jerseys, one with her name on the back and one with mine. They were beautiful. Behind the jerseys, the entire team was posing for the picture. Gavi was in the front, not smiling of course.
"That's pretty cool," I admitted, even though I didn't really care. I would probably never wear the jersey out in public.
"It says here that they are being delivered later this week," Sofia read, smiling to herself.
I nodded, more to myself than to her.

The restaurant was a good drive from our hotel. Since we didn't have our personal car with us, Mario offered to drive me and Sofia there. Very considerate of him. Our parents didn't mind; they often encouraged us to get out in public.
I had met Chloe through a modeling program a few years ago. She was American and in a relationship with Gio Reyna, the American soccer player. We had grown very close, and she so happened to be staying in Barcelona over the weekend. Probably on some trip with Gio.
Mario dropped us off in front of the restaurant. Sofia got out first. She was wearing a beautiful blue dress that complimented her eyes. She had curled her hair and was wearing more makeup than normal. I had settled for a simple yet cute black shirt and cutoff jeans. My hair was down and fluffed slightly.
I followed Sofia out of the limo and waved to Mario as he pulled away. What a great guy he was.
Nobody seemed to recognize us as we entered, and I was glad. The media always followed us wherever we went.
"Leonor! Sofia!" Chloe called, waving us over. Her and Gio were sat at a booth in the corner. As we walked over, I saw that they both had drinks in front of them.
"It's so great to see you!" I laughed, rushing over to hug her. She leaned in and pressed her cheek against mine happily. Her and Sofia exchanged glances as well. They had become friends through me.
I shook Gio's hand, and we all caught up on the recent news together. Nobody seemed to notice that the two princesses of Spain were having dinner with them. Whatever.
After scanning the menu, I ordered steak and potatoes. Sofia settled on a fish fry. Chloe and Gio agreed to split a big helping of noodles. What a cute idea, I thought.
"So, tell me what's been going on with you," Chloe smiled, grabbing my hands in hers. She was always so welcoming towards me.
"Well, not a lot. I've been busy recently though. Yesterday, we all went to a Barcelona game," I said plainly. Chloe nodded, mentioning how she had seen my Instagram post. Gio stuck out his tongue and we all laughed. Even though he was American, he played for Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
"Did you meet any of the players?" Chloe asked expectantly.
Sofia quickly answered for me.
"Yes, we got nearly all of their autographs. Leonor got Gavi to sign her jersey. Plus, the team is sending us both custom jerseys!" She exclaimed. Chloe and Gio exchanged a look and both smiled.
"That's amazing," Gio said. We all agreed.
Just then, our food was brought to the table. My steak looked delicious. Sofia barely waited to dig into her fish. Chloe and Gio began sharing their noodles. It was so cute and romantic.
"Delicious," I groaned, digging deeper into my pink meat. It was one of the best things I had ever tasted in my life.
"Told you this place was worth it," Chloe joked.
"Expensive too," I added. This made us all laugh.
Sofia and I stayed and visited with them for quite some time. We all split dessert, which was a big platter of assorted ice creams.
"It was so great to see you two!" Chloe crowed, pulling us both into a hug. We shook Gio's hand before we waved them goodbye and watched them walk out of the restaurant, hands interlocked.
I called Mario to let him know we were ready to be picked up. He informed me he would be on his way soon before I hung up.
Just as Sofia and I were leaving the restaurant, she immediately shook my shoulder. Further down the sidewalk, I recognized some of the Barcelona players and their girlfriends. Pedri seemed to be alone, and same with JoΓ£o Felix. It was Gavi I noticed.
Beside him, a short blonde girl with big lips was leaning against him. Her eyelashes were batted, and she looked like a crying puppy. He leaned down to kiss her, and the two of them began making out on the sidewalk. Great.
As they were kissing, he looked up and made eye contact with me. Gross. I looked away and gagged under my breath.
When I looked up again, the group of them had disappeared. I figured they had entered a restaurant farther down the block. Then Gavi could make out with that blonde girl in private.
"Somebody's jealous," Sofia whispered in my ear. I hadn't noticed her and had completely forgotten she was there until now.
I punched her, hard, in the arm.
"It was a joke," she grumbled, rubbing her arm.
"Not a funny one," I retorted.
Soon after that, Mario pulled up in the limo. He opened the door for us and we thanked him quickly before settling into our seats. The drive back took a while, just like the drive to the restaurant.
When we reentered the hotel room, my parents were seated on the couch, watching television. Some important soccer match.
"How was it?" My mother inquired.
Me and Sofia filled her in on the details. She smiled to herself and thanked Mario again for driving us. He told us it was no big deal.
"I get to use the bathroom first," I poked Sofia, and she just rolled her eyes.
I entered the bathroom, locking the door behind me.
After fidgeting with the shower for quite some time, I opened the curtain and stepped inside. The hot washer rushed over my body, and I immediately relaxed. I let the water soak me until I was a prune before I emerged. I wrapped myself in a complimentary towel and squeezed the excess water out of my hair.
I put on my heart pajamas, and pulled my hair into a bun. I stared at my reflection in the mirror a bit before picking up my phone to check my notifications.
I had an unread text from Chloe: "Great to see you and Sofia tonight xoxo"
The other notification I had shocked me. Gavi had commented on my post. Probably his little girlfriend I had seen downtown. The blonde, blue-eyed girl with fish lips. Highly unattractive if you asked me.
I opened Instagram and scrolled to his comment.
"Enjoy Barcelona and the jerseys!" It read
Pfft. What a loser. He couldn't even talk to me in person, at the game. Now he had resorted to doing it over Instagram. What a man.
