Thursday, December 19 1942, 9:00 pm

Freyja and Bella were walking around the castle, making small talk. The night was cold, considering it was almost Christmas. The wind was whipping in the trees, making them sound like an old rocking chair. The ground outside was painted white due the heavy snow.

"You haven't talked with Tom in a while. He seems upset."

"How do you know that he is upset? I don't think he told you anything"

"Well, no he didn't. But it is easy to understand someone's emotions. Even when you think they have none. What happened between the two of you?'

"I just don't want people like him in my life."

"No one does" Bella said yawing.

"I think we should go back in the common room. It is getting late"

"before we go, I want to tell you something that I didn't had the courage to tell you"

Freyja stopped walking and glanced at her friend worried.

"You were right"

"I'm always right. About what?"

"About Tom. And his 'after school club' or whatever he wants to call it. It is more messed up than I thought. But now I cannot get out because..."

"because you have the mark in your forearm."

"Yes!" Bella cried. She looked at the selling, trying to prevent the tears from spilling, but it was already too late. "Every time he wants something, he calls us with this thing and it makes my arm burn. I decided to join because of my sister but I don't think I can do it anymore!"

Freyja thought it would be best for her if she stayed silent. The things she wanted to say would only made it worse. Freyja didn't have the bravery to tell her friend that she wanted to be like Tom or that she agreed with what Tom did. She knew that it wasn't right or good, but who gets to decide what's good and what's bad. We all know Tom. His hunger for power wouldn't let him do anything less.

"This is messed up!"

"I think you should go to sleep, Bella"

"but that's what I do every day! I go to bed, hoping that I would wake up and realize it was all a bad dream!" Freyja didn't know what to do to calm her down, so she did what every one else did. She hugged her. Bella quickly wrapped her arms around her, sobbing on her shoulder.

"Let's go to the dorm, Bella. Shall we?" All Freyja got for an answer was a quiet murmur.

A few hours later...

Freyja was siting in the armchair across the fireplace, reading her book, when she heard someone coming down the stairs.

"Hello Eva"

"Shit!" Eva whispered under her breath "Um, Freyja, hi. I didn't know you were awake."

"Didn't you see the empty bed next to you"

"I thought you were in the bathroom"

"Where are you going?"

"I... um... I... we, actually, have a meeting."

"Who?"

"Me, Tom, Abraxas, you know. Tom's club."

"Strange... I just saw Abraxas going to sleep."

"Oh... I meant, me and Tom, obviously"

"obviously"

"Well, I am just... goodbye"

"Not so soon, Eva"

Freyja got up and walked towards Eva.

"You know it is way past curfew."

"I would be with Tom, so we won't get in trouble."

"mmm..."

"Yeah... can I leave now?"

"Go!"

Eva run out of the Slytherin common room. Freyja waited for a while and afterwards she followed her. "I have a feeling this night will end up with a murder..."

Eva and Tom were standing together outside of the castle, in front of the black lake. The snow was slowly covering them. Eva had hugged her self with her coat, while Tom seemed immune to the cold. Freyja couldn't hear what they were saying, meaning they had a silencing charm over them.

She got closer. Tom pulled out his wand from his pocket and pointed it at Eva. The girl fell unconscious on the floor. Freyja run towards Tom, yelling at him.

"Why you did this?!"

Tom reversed the charm and looked at Freyja. "Be more quiet, O'Lone. We don't want to get caught"

"What have you done?"

"Stop acting like you care! We both know that I would be better without the annoying girl. You wanted her out of the way, too"

"I don't care about Eva; I care about Bella. You have already caused her a lot pain."

"Oh, really Freyja? What about the pain you caused? The pain to Lora's sister, the pain to Michael's family, the pain to your cousin and her family..."

"Shut up!"

"The pain to your mother that you are not your sister."

"Tom, shut up!"

"You want to become the daughter your mother always wanted. The good, innocent girl you once were. But let's not forget the pain that you caused to yourself. You create those nightmares and you can stop them. But you think you deserve them. Do you, really?...

When I entered your mind, I saw more than just your memories. I saw your fears, your guilty pleasures, the person you want to be and the person you truly are.

Stop saying I am the bad guy when you are like me. You will never please your mother, because you are your father. Stop pretending you are something that you are not and embrace your true self. You told your mother I make you happy, but do you ever wonder why? Because I am the only one that allows you to be yourself."

Freyja was speechless. There were so much she wanted to say but the words couldn't get out of her mouth.

"Think about what I said. Goodnight"

... Surprisingly enough, this night was the first night in 8 years Freyja didn't had a nightmare...

The next day... potion class

"Welcome class" the professor greeted the kids, when the lesson started

"Do you know what this is? " Slughorn pointed the cauldron in front of him. No one gave an answer.

"This, my dear children, is Amortentia. The most powerful love potion in the world! It is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals. Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them."

" Interesting... " Freyja whispered.

"Why do you like this? " Tom asked.

"I just find it fascinating... "

"Now, get in pairs and try to make it! "

The squad went around the table and opened their books.

"Together? " Tom asked Freyja, hoping for a positive answer. "Yep"

{•••}

"Now that you are done, I want you to smell it and write down what you smell. "

Freyja made the start. She bent over and took a deep breath. Then, she took again. And again. Until she realized to who the smell belongs to. Complicated smell. Nice. Fresh.

It was now Tom's turn. Took a deep breath. At first, he couldn't smell anything. Nothing. But then, her complicated smell arrived his nostrils.

Oh, no... Chanel No5. Rose. Caramel.

"What did you smell?" Freyja asked him.

"Nothing"

"Don't lie to me. Your face is red from embarrassment."

"I didn't smelled anything"

"Alright, mr I have no feelings."

"What is your amortentia smelling like?"

"Well, if you are not telling me, I am not going to tell you"

"Don't act so childish, Freyja."

"Class dismissed!" The kids started leaving the classroom quickly. It was the last class of the day and most of the kids were leaving Hogwarts for the winter break. In the first years, Tom was staying at Hogwarts during Christmas but now he stays at Abraxas' house. Luckily, Abraxas' parents like him.

The kids were sharing a carriage on the train. All except Bella. One of the teachers informed her about her sister, a couple hours ago. She knew Tom was the one who killed her twin sister. She sat at an empty carriage by herself. He was the last person she wanted to see right now. She felt empty without her sister by her side.

The boys didn't knew what happened to Eva. "She left" That's what Bella told them and they just assumed Eva left Hogwarts a little earlier. They are not going to learn soon. And that would be the best.

"Fellas, I have to make an announcement." Freyja stood up. Now, she was the only girl between them. "As you know, the O'Lone family organize a ball every year, and you are all invited. It takes place in the O'Lone manor, 25 of December, Seven in the afternoon. Don't be

late..."
