Angelica's POV

She looked at me with a really confused expression.

"Okay... I'll try to remind him of that." her brows furrowed in confusion and nodded before leaving.

"Didn't he tell her mother?" I asked myself as soon as the door closes, I can't sit here comfortably. I checked the balcony and when I opened the door, a brush of breeze passed through me and a little jungle was standing in front of this house. Weird, I said to myself. Who would build a house where the forest is near? Then a realization hits me, oh, that's how maybe they found Nathan. I went back inside and walked out of the room, I found myself in their hallway.

"What a long hallway," I said as my vision peered at it, I looked around as I walked along. Photos of Jonathan when he's a kid, he's smiling and his father is not. He always has a resolved expression in every photo I pass by and stopped when I saw the teenage Jonathan and his dad's expression is reversed, he's not smiling and his dad is like laughing. I observed it for a bit and someone tapped my shoulder

"He's awake," Madeleine said happily and squeezed my shoulder before she told me to follow her. I followed her and all of us were in his room, and his eyes darted at me first before them.

"Now that he's awake, you may go now." his mother said sternly, I quickly looked at her and she smiled innocently.

"But—"

"Thank you for waiting dear," she says and two tall men barged in.

"Wait, I'll make dinner first before leaving. Please, I have to see him eat." I said and she looked at me like she didn't talk to me all sweetly before, but she nodded and the men came back out and left. I sighed in relief and still, tension is building in his room and I just bowed at them.

"What's wrong with this family? They all sound grumpy and act grumpy," I whispered under my breath and I'm now standing in their kitchen, "Wow, what the hell." I said out loud and I was mesmerized by it. Three chandeliers and an eight-foot table which I can expect are for visitors only. But maids started putting all the ingredients down, that's not the table for visitors, I looked around the table and came to a lot of ideas... All in the basket are meat and seasonings, then a cat jumps on the table and is snaking its way to the fish.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said and the cat stopped to look at me.

"I don't care, I can do things the way I like." she purrs and starts to sniff the basket and I quickly steal it away.

"Not if I'm in the kitchen," I flicked her forehead and she looks at me.

"You, you're talking to me. How...?"

"Do you even know Nicholas' dog?" she nods.

"I thought he was going crazy, but I guess he's not." her gaze looked behind me, but I was too focused on talking to her.

"Now that you know, get down and I'll start cooking. I'll cook your food too," I said and she jumped off and scurried off into the kitchen.

"Good evening, Angelica." a voice booms out behind me, and my eyes widen in shock.

"Oh my gosh," Madeleine, smiling weirdly, "Did you witness...?"

"Yes, all of your conversation with my cat, Trixie," she says and flips her hair to the side and cornered me.

"Please, let's keep this a secret," I beg, she starts laughing at me and claps my shoulder. It's loud and as it repeats it gets heavier, she stops and looks at me.

"I was just kidding, I thought you were going crazy."

"Oh, right. I was a bit off my head," I laughed awkwardly and she left with a smirk plastered on her lips, I sighed as soon as she left and proceeded to do what I was doing. An hour passed and I already minced some garlic and onion that I found on the table and mashed some potatoes. I put it on the braised beef and it smelled amazing. The other one is what I made when I competed and it's for Nathan. I also made a chicken piccata and lastly, spaghetti and meatballs.

"Dinner's ready!" I shouted and brought the food to Jonathan's room, I opened it slowly and he was sleeping again. I put the food down and tapped his shoulder, "Sir Jonathan, the food's ready. You can eat it, I need to go." I stood up and turned when he held my hand to stop me from going.

"Stop, don't go." His voice was weak yet commanding, he pulled me and my body hit him and hugged me, "Don't go, for today," he whispers, his hug tightens and I just pat his back gently.

"Okay then, but you need to eat." Jonathan let go and sat up with my help, his eyes were glistening and I picked the food on the table before bringing it to him.

"Thank you," he says and he digs a spoonful of mashed potatoes.

"No problem, by the way... I don't see Nathan around here," I blurted out and Jonathan immediately stopped his hand to shove it in his mouth, "Oh, sorry, continue eating. I'll wait for him after." I smiled at him and I am thankful that he saved me, but another confusion brushes my mind after he ate all the food including Nathan's meal.

"That was tasty," he said, I looked at the back of his head and my hand parted some of his hair, "What are you doing?" he asks, I looked and there was no scratch.

"I'm pretty sure it's here," I whispered to myself and parted some of his hair again. All I can see is a red spot to where the rock hits it and no wounds are there, "Huh? Why's it not here?" but all of a sudden someone stops me from looking and it is him, the.. who is he? Is he an alien?
