Obviously, Lan QiRen was not too keen on finding the Wei twins and the Jin Sect heir fighting. Immediately, they were separated from each other and the Wei twins were sent to kneel in front of the ancestral hall to await for their punishment.

Lan WangJi was strolling around the area when he stopped at the entrance to the Hall, hearing a familiar voice and spotting the familiar black and red robes.

"Gege, please stop..."

Lan WangJi frowned when he saw the shaking, kneeling figure of Wei WuXian's and Wei WuHui leaning over to him. Honestly, to his eyes, it look like Wei WuXian was crying and his sister was comforting him. Lan WangJi's brows furrowed and was about to go over to them.

However, in actuality, Wei WuXian was playing with an ant hole with a stick and has smeared some dirt on his face. Wei WuHui sighed as she tried to wipe it off but her brother kept moving around.

Eventually, the twins noticed a pair of eyes watching them as they turned and saw Lan WangJi.

"WangJi-Xiong! We haven't seen each other in ages! I thought you were angry with me." Wei WuXian greeted.

"Gege, manners please!" Wei WuHui chided softly before she turned to Lan WangJi and saluted. "Lan Er-Gongzi."

The Second Master Lan didn't said a word, causing an awkward silence.

Wei WuXian immediately threw away the stick and scooted over so he would hide the mess he has made and to cover it up, he gave a big grin to Lan WangJi.

Lan WangJi huffed before turning away as he walked off without saying a word.

"Huh? Who annoyed him this time?" Wei WuXian asked which earns him a deadpanned look from his sister.

"Who else beside you?" Jiang Cheng said as he walked over to the twins. "From the looks of it, he doesn't want to see you ever again."

'Hmm, it didn't look like the case' Wei WuHui thought as she recalled the concerned expression on Lan WangJi's face.

Wei WuXian snickered. "Anyway, where's that idiot Jin ZiXuan? I heard that he really cares about his face. I wonder how he felt after looking in the mirror."

Then, the trio heard talking as they turned and saw the Jiang Sect Leader, Jiang FengMian, saluting to Lan QiRen and Lan ChunLi. "My humble son owes most of your guidance." The latter returning the salute.

"Uncle Jiang is here!" Wei WuHui exclaimed.

"Is Shijie here as well?" Wei WuXian added.

"Why would Shijie come? Just to witness your disgrace?" Jiang Cheng retorted.

Hearing that, Wei WuXian made a sour face.

"Don't be so brash next time." Jiang Cheng added before he paused when he saw who was walking toward them.

The familiar sound of the soft jingle of the Jiang's Clarity Bell echoed in Wei WuHui's ears as she looked up.

"A-Xian, A-Hui. Get up, we're going home." Jiang FengMian spoke softly as he gazed upon the twins with a gentle look.

Wei WuHui smiled brightly before faltering when she glanced over to Jiang Cheng, who was crestfallen at the fact that his father didn't greet or even give him a glance. Wei WuHui frowned. 'Oh Jiang Cheng'

โ€”โ€”โ€”

Wei WuHui hummed a soft tune as she packed her belongings into her Qiankun Pouch.

'I'll sure miss this place, especially...' her heart races as she thought of her nightly schedules with the Sect Heir, them duetting together and chatting to each other.

Then, a knock on the door draws her out of her thoughts as Wei WuHui put down a clothing that she was holding and went over to the door.

She opened and her eyes immediately met with a pristine white robe. Stiffened, Wei WuHui slowly looked up and her eyes then widened at the sudden appearance ofโ€”.

"XiChen?!" Wei WuHui squeaked, bewildered.

"I apologise for disturbing you, WuHui." Lan XiChen smiled as he saluted to the shell-shocked maiden. "But I want to give you something before you leave."

"G-Give me something?" Wei WuHui repeated.

Lan XiChen nodded before reaching into his robes. Wei WuHui watched in anticipation as Lan XiChen pulled out a glimpse of silver.

"I was suppose to give it you after our trip to Caiyi Town but I didn't get to, so...here." Lan XiChen explained with a soft blush on his cheeks and a smile.

Wei WuHui's eyes glistened as she stared at the beautiful hairpin that was in his hand. Admiring its shiny and thin appearance.

"I-It's for me? Really?" Wei WuHui asked.

Lan XiChen nodded.

And with that final confirmation, Wei WuHui reached for the accessory and gasped softly as she looked over the hairpin, tracing the design with her fingers. "It's...beautiful." Before she looked up to the male. "Thank you XiChen." And gave him a big smile.

Lan XiChen felt his heart skipped a beat for a moment, taking in the beautiful sight of the maiden's smile as his face began to feel warm.

'Am I...' Lan XiChen watched with wide eyes as Wei WuHui openly 'ohh' and 'ahh' at her gift before smiling as he felt set on what his feelings was. 'Yes, I think so...'

'I'm in love with Wei WuHui'
