Wei WuHui paced back and forth. Biting her nails as she physically panicked in front of Wen Qing, who had taken a seat and watched the maiden with a nonchalant expression.

"What do I do now? I'm pregnant with Lan Huan's child! This is-this is bad!" Wei WuHui rambled.

"Wei WuHui, calm down." Wen Qing spoke but her words were ignored.

"If the outside world finds out about this, they'll target Lan Huan!"

"Wei Wu-."

"Oh my god his fucking uncle will kill me then go into qi deviation!"

"You-."

"Lan Huan will hate me forever if I kill his uncle!"

"WOULD YOU STOP FOR ONE SECOND PLEASE?!"

The said maiden immediately froze the moment Wen Qing burst out as she turned to the woman, seeing her with her arms crossed and looking at Wei WuHui with exasperation.

"Now that I have your attention, I have another important information to tell you." Wen Qing stated sternly.

Wei WuHui blinked, looking to have calmed down a bit. "What is it?"

Wen Qing sighed. Not saying a thing for a few more moments before she looked at the maiden in the eyes. "You don't have a child. You and Lan-Zongzhu will be having twins."

Wei WuHui's face went up inflame before her head swayed and she began to fall back. Her body would've hit the ground if it wasn't for Wen Ning catching her in time as the fierce corpse panicked.

"Wei Gu-Niang!"

Wen Qing sighed, shaking her head, looking so done with everything and everyone around her as her brother worriedly looked over the unconscious Yiling Matriarch. "Oh boy."

Pregnancy really did changed Wei WuHui over the months as she eventually got around with that fact.

As months grew by, so was her stomach as it got bigger, which is expected when she was carrying twins.

'Sometimes I hate that I have Wei's genes in me' Wei WuHui thought, mentally sobbing as she sat on one of the man-made chair that one of the Wens had made. She was watching Xue Yang and Wen Yuan played around peacefully, often the latter would came over to her and laid his head on her lap as he listened to her playing on Chénqíng.

"Mèimei! Your Gēge have arrived!" Suddenly, the said maiden stiffened up the moment she heard her brother's voice as the colour on her face went pale.

Wei WuXian grinned as he jogged over to where his sister and the two children that she took under her arms when his eyes spotted something...new.

His silvery-grey eyes, similarly to his twin's, pinpointed the big, rounded belly of his sister's that was not there the last time he saw her. Although, to be fair, it has almost been 8 months since he last saw her. With the wedding between his Shijie and Jin ZiXuan, assisting Jiang Cheng with his sect duties and planning for his own wedding with his love, Lan WangJi. It kept him busy throughout those months.

But today was his free day where he get to use to see his sister, however he didn't expect to see that his little twin has a similar appearance to Jiang YanLi's, especially around the stomach area.

"Gēge?" Wei WuHui called out hesitantly when she saw her brother frozen in place, his face expressed nothing which scared the hell out of her!

Wei WuHui walked up to her twin, placing her hand on his shoulder as she gave him a small shake. "Gege." She repeated firmly.

Nothing.

"I think you broke him, Old Hag." Xue Yang pointed it out as he joined the maiden with staring at the forever blank-looking Wei WuXian. Both of them sweat-dropping at the sight.

"...ah."

"So they're Lan-Zongzhu's." Wei WuXian began softly as he and Wei WuHui sat in the Demon-Slaughtering Cave.

Wei WuHui nodded, taking a slow sip from her tea as her other hand caressed her stomach. "2 more months away until they will come out." The maiden smiled warmly, her heart fluttering with nervousness and excitement.

Seeing the pure look of happiness on his sister's face, Wei WuXian released a soft sigh as he smiled. "So does he knows?"

Wei WuHui then frowned solemnly. "He hasn't yet. But I...don't think I will tell him." She replied.

Wei WuXian paused at his sister's response, his eyes widened. "What? Why?" He asked.

Wei WuHui sighed. "Gēge, if I was too announce this to Lan Huan, how can we prevent the outside world that the babies will be of my blood too? Right now, I am an enemy to the whole cultivation world, that includes the Gusu Lan Sect. How can Lan Huan hide the fact that we are having children out of wedlock?" She explained.

"We can tell the truth." Wei WuXian then proclaimed.

Wei WuHui's eyes narrowed. "No, absolutely not."

"Mèimei, if we tell what really happened to Jiang Cheng, you won't have to hide–." Wei WuXian tried to say but his words were quickly interrupted as Wei WuHui shot up from her seat.

"No, that is not an option that I will take." Wei WuHui shook her head.

Frustration boiled inside of the male Wei as he followed his twin in standing up. "This is not the time to be stubborn, Mèimei! You're pregnant and is living in a dangerous place that can give negative effects on your children. You can't hide away forever on this cursed mountain!"

"Just watch me then!" Wei WuHui yelled with her eyes blazing red now, her emotions triggering the resentful energy around them as it exploded from her entire body, causing the small table and chairs to fly away and slammed into the wall while Wei WuXian was pushed back a bit.

Followed by silence as the twins, for once in their entire lives, glared angrily at each other.

Wei WuHui then sighed as she walked (waddled) over to her makeshift bed and sat down, one hand cradling her stomach as she regained her composure. "Gēge. The moment I've made my choice on that day, I was willing to throw it all away, including my life if the procedure did not succeed. I know that...if telling Jiang Cheng the truth, it would fix most of the issues but I don't think I will take that risk if it doesn't change a thing."

Wei WuXian stood there motionless, not saying anything to what his twin had said.

"But...if anything goes wrong and I mean it. If I ended up dying...please, take Xiao-Yang, A-Yuan and my children away from here."

Wei WuXian's eyes then widened and he spun around. "Mèimei!" He gasped.

Tears flowed down her cheeks silently as a solemn smile presented on her face. "A-Yuan have grown close to you and Lan WangJi, I know he will be cared for perfectly by you two. And Xiao-Yang, he is rough around the edges so the Cloud Recesses isn't a good place for him to grow and learn under. You will be a good mentor for you, unlike me. And my children, they will need their father..."

Without hesitation, Wei WuXian rushed to his sister's side, pulling her into his embrace with his chin rested on top of her head, hugging her tightly. "Mèimei, don't even think like that! You won't die, you will live to see your children, my future nieces or nephews or even both niece and nephew. Lan-Zongzhu will see his children with you there. You won't leave this world, I won't let that happen! I promise!"

The twins sat in comforting silence as Wei WuHui basked in her brother's warmth. "Gēge, I–Ack!" She then suddenly winced in pain as contractions appeared in her stomach area.

"Mèimei? What's wrong?" Wei WuXian immediately pulled back as he saw his twin bowing over a bit, clutching at her stomach. "Mèimei!"

"Call Wen Qing..." Wei WuHui panted as she began to realised what was happening at that moment, she felt wetness dripping down her legs. "My water just broke, Gēge."

Panic set in as Wei WuXian immediately picked her up in his arms before rushing out of the cave while shouting. "Wen Qing! Wen Qing! We need you! Quick!"

With shouts of urgency like those, Wen Qing immediately came out of her hut as she ran toward them, with Wen Qing quickly behind her. "What happen?"

"Mèimei's water...she said it broke." Wei WuXian stammered.

Both of the Wens immediately sprung into action. "Quickly! Come in here now!" Wen Qing urged as all of them came back into hut. "Put her there! Wen Ning, grab me a bowl of water and towels!"

Wei WuXian quickly laid his panting sister down on the bed as Wei WuHui's hand clenched onto his's tightly as she took deep breaths.

"I-I still have one more month, why are they coming out now?" Wei WuHui panted, wincing at each sharp pain.

"We don't have to worry about that now. We need to focus on getting them out safely!" Wen Qing stated as Wen Ning came back with the water and towels.

Wei WuHui whimpered as each contraction felt like someone stabbing her stomach with endless blades.

"Ok, we can start with the pushing." Wen Qing immediately went into action as she began directing the young maiden to pushing as much as she can. "Push!"

Wei WuHui let out a scream as she pushed with all of her energy, her hand clenching onto her brother's as she panted heavily.

"Come on, Mèimei. You can do it." She heard her brother's encouragement.

"Again!"

The whole process ended after 2 hours, almost 3 hours even, as the sound of crying erupted from the hut.

"You did it. You did it, Mèimei." Wei WuXian sniffled as tears freely fall down his face, his eyes gazing on the now sleeping newborn in his arms, from the small tuff of black hair to their tiny hands that curled into tiny fists. This was his nephew.

"One boy and one girl. Exactly like their mother and uncle." Wen Qing commented smiling happily as she wrapped the sniffling baby into warm clothing before walking over to the exhausted-looking Wei WuHui as Wen Ning dabbed her sweaty face with a clean towel.

Wei WuHui tiredly opened her eyes as Wen Qing laid one of her children down beside her head. The newborn girl calming down after crying her lungs out. "My babies..." she muttered as she reached over to her baby's face, caressing it gently as Wei WuHui smiled in pure happiness, pulling her daughter closer and, rubbing heads with her. "My precious babies."

Wei WuXian then saw his nephew's eyes beginning to twitch as he watched them slowly fluttered open, revealing them to be a pair of silvery-grey just like his mother and uncle, but a shade lighter. "This little one resembles you a lot, Mèimei." He chuckled, poking at the baby's cheek softly which in turns made his finger get grabbed by one of those tiny hands.

"Congratulations Wei Gu-Niang." Wen Ning spoke as he gave a small stiff smile but his eyes managed to give a bright gaze of joy.

"Have you decide for names yet?" Wen Qing asked.

Wei WuHui watched as her brother laid her son right beside his twin sister, her heart instantly swoon as her son's hand immediately grabbed ahold of her daughter's as they held hands in their slumber. "I have."

"Lan Bǎo and Lan Méi."

I know that it was a bit rushed which I've noticed after writing the chapter but I figured that it is the best of my abilities for it to make sense in the canon timeline but since I am making Lan JingYi as the same age as Jin Ling's now but still want to make him to be a bit older. Although I really don't like how this chapter turned out to be as it is cramped together but due to personal reasons in the real world, it would have to do.
