"Jisu woke up"

Soojin raised her head to look at the Hyunsoo who stood in the doors of the room that she was in for the past hours. Her heart started beating faster, but she felt relived. She got up from the floor, and walked to the boy.

"That's great," her voice was raspy, as she wasn't talking too much in the last hours, "I'll go"

She didn't meet any other people since Nayeon's death, that's why the boy looked at her unsure. Soojin nodded her head and tried to smile, seeing his face expression. She took the jumper that was thrown in the corner of the room, and put it on herself. It still had blood stains.

Soojin and Hyunsoo left the room. The residents that they met on their way to Jisu, were staring at the girl, as she tried to ignore it. In front the doors of operation room stood Jaeheon. He turned to them with a sad expression on his face. Soojin tried to smile, but she just grimaced. She hugged him.

"How is she?"

"Her condition is stable," said the man, as Soojin took a step back, "And she knows about Nayeon"

Soojin pursed her lips, "Can I come in?"

The man nodded his head. The girl put her hand on the handle, and took a deep breath before walking in. The first sound she heard was sobbing. Jisu heard someone, so she tried to stop crying.

Soojin took the chair and placed in next to the table that the girl was laying on. Jisu turned her face to her. She didn't look good to be honest, but she was alive, so that's important.

"Hey Ji," Soojin brushed the wet hair from her forehead, trying not to cry herself, "How are you feeling?"

The girl sobbed even harder when girl spoke up, sniffing her nose, "Soojin, I'm so sorry... It's my fault..."

"Shhhh..." the girl stroked her head, furrowing the eyebrows, "What are you talking about, no one is guilty"

Jisu weep, "She went for me. If it wasn't my surgery..."

"No," said harshly Soojin. She was surprised that Jisu said that. She didn't think about this like that earlier, "She would go anyway. You know that they also wanted to find food and water"

Jisu wheezed. Soojin took her hand, but her vision was blurry.

"Nayeon wouldn't want you to blame yourself," she said, "I can say it's my fault, because I didn't go instead of her. Maybe if I would argue with her more, she would give up, and stayed"

"She wouldn't," chuckled Jisu, wiping her cheeks

Soojin smiled slightly, "Yeah, she wouldn't. She was too stubborn for that"

It felt so weird talking about Nayeon in past tanse. Jisu breathed heavily, looking at the ceiling. Soojin rubbed her eyes, and squeezed girl's hand.

"We have to survive Ji," she murmured, "For Nayeon"

Soojin was walking through the corridors aimlessly, until she heard Hyunsoo's voice in kindergarten. A bit surprised, she walked in, stopping in the doors.

He was sitting on the floors, legs-crossed, on his lap was Yeongsu. The little boy was holding the open book, while Hyunsoo was reading to him. Suyeong was also there. Soojin put her head on the frame of the doors, and smiled a little, watching the trio. Hyunsoo looked at her for a moment, but didn't stop reading out loud.  Soojin slowly walked to them, and sat down across. Yeongsu's eyes were following letters in the book, as he was trying to read with Hyunsoo. After they finished the chapter that they were currently on, they stopped.

"Hi"

"Hi. How are you feeling?"

Soojin pursed her lips, "Better," she looked at Yeongsu, "Are you both learning how to read?"

The boy nodded his head.

"We're doing really good. Especially Yeongsu, right?" Hyunsoo looked at him and then at his sister, but she didn't seem so convinced about her brother's skills

"Soojin..." the girl turned her head to Suyeong, "What was Nayeon's favorite color?"

She looked at her surprised. She thought about it for a while. What was girl's favorite color?

Red.

Soojin tried to smile, "She liked red"

Suyeong got up from the floor, and went to one of the cabinets in the room. She opened small doors, and picked out a drawing block, the one that has colorful paper. She went back to the small circle that they were sitting in, and opened the block to pick the red paper.

"I'll make a flower for her"

Soojin felt how her heart melted. She moved a bit closer go the girl, and hugged her.

"Thank you"

Suyeong smiled, and ripped the paper from the drawing block. Hyunsoo looked at Soojin who had tears in her eyes. She watched the little girl folding the paper in the way to make an origami flower. Hyunsoo turned the page in the book to another, and started reading again.

The residents of Green Home gathered in the room intended as a cemetery. Another grave appeared with the cross made of wood ponded in it, with the name Park Nayeon. Hyunsoo stood in the back, holding Soojin's arm, because she felt like she's gonna fell on the ground soon. Mr. Ahn took the steps forward, and put a red paper flower on the grave, made by Suyeong. Soojin wiped the tears from her eyes, and put the hand on Hyunsoo's, giving him nod that she want to go there. The boy nodded his head and let her go. Jisu grabbed his arm, as he held her, to help her stood. The girl grimaced, putting her hand on a stomach. Being there, cost her a lot of pain, but she couldn't miss that.

Soojin on shaky legs, walked to the grave and looked on the Jaeheon that was on his knees, praying.

"Jaeheon..." the man opened his eyes and looked at the girl. She didn't want to interrupt him, but she did anyway, "Can... can everyone pray?"

The man gave her a sad smile, and nodded his head, "Of course"

He moved a little, making a space for the girl. She pursed her lips, and kneeled in front Nayeon's grave. Soojin looked at Jaeheon's hands, and put them in the same way.

She prayed three times in her life. When she was seven, begging God to bring back her mom. When he didn't do that, she promised herself that she's never gonna pray again. But well, there she was.

Soojin didn't really believe in anything. But now she had this feeling that she should do that. She's just gonna say what's on her mind, and who ever is listening to her, will make her will happen. That's what she hoped for.
So she just asked for a good afterlife for Nayeon. Wherever it is, maybe it's heaven, or maybe she reincarnated into another person, or animal, who knows. Soojin just want her to find the peace.
She sniffled her nose. Jaeheon finished praying, so he put the hand on girl's shoulder to comfort her.

"Amen," she whispered, opening her eyes

She turned her head to man, who stood up, helping her to do the same. He embraced her with the arm, as they walked back to the Hyunsoo and Jisu. Jaeheon let go Soojin, grabbing the other girl.

Mr. Ahn sighed, "Your life was our blessing, and you shall never be forgotten"

Soojin started sobbing, so Hyunsoo hugged her tighter, as she hid her face in his chest.

"Goodbye, Nayeon"
