𝐱𝐢𝐱. 𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞

Many people are wondering, what are you supposed to do, after having a kiss for the first time? Well, Soojin and Hyunsoo didn't know.

     For the first minutes, they just stared at each other, smiling awkwardly. They held their hands, and later had an idea of sticking their foreheads together again. The girl looked down at the hands.

"And what now?" she whispered amused

"I have no idea," said the boy

The teenagers laughed, and that was the first time, Soojin actually heard his laugh. It was mesmerizing.
    The girl moved from the boy, and leaned on the column, that they were sitting next to. Hyunsoo did the same, but he wrapped his hands around Soojin's waist, lifting her a little, and pulling her to himself. Now she was sitting in front of the boy, almost on his knees, as he held her tightly from behind. She was leaning on his chest, and when she put her head close to his heart, she could feel how fast it beats. Soojin tilted her head on the side, as Hyunsoo put his chin on her arm. Their breaths were in tune.
     They had no idea how much time passed. Soojin had closed eyes, enjoying this moment. They were sitting like this without talking, until the boy spoke.

„I actually have something that you might like..."

Soojin turned her head to him surprised, "Really?"

Hyunsoo nodded his head. The girl straightened up, sitting in front of the boy, as they both turned on the side. He put his hand in the pocket, and pulled out the bracelet that he found earlier. He was looking down, avoiding eye contact with the girl, as he was embarrassed of himself, and scared that the girl is not gonna like it.
    But Soojin's eyes widened, and mouth dropped as she took the bracelet in her hands.

"Oh my God. Thank you," she looked at the boy and smiled, "I love it"

Hyunsoo raised his head, and also smiled softly, as he blushed. Soojin moved closer her face to his, and give him a short kiss on the cheek.

"Can you help me clasp it?"

The boy nodded his head, and took the bracelet. Soojin pulled out her hand to him, rolling the sleeves of her shirt. She didn't mind that he can see her scars. Hyunsoo put the bracelet on her wrist, and locked the clip. Soojin started looking at the bracelet once again, moving her arm around. She didn't expect that in the situation that they are in, she could get a jewellery, let alone such a pretty one.

"Where did you get it from?" she asked curious, "It's beautiful, really. Thank you so much"

"Do I have to say?" Hyunsoo scratched his neck, as he couldn't think of any lie, "It's gonna be my secret"

"Alright," Soojin chuckled, and nodded her head, "Thank you for that, it's so sweet"

The girl couldn't take her eyes off the bracelet. And the boy couldn't take his eyes off the girl.

    He grabbed her hand, and hold it. Soojin thought that he was going to do something, but he just looked at her, rubbing her hand with a thumb.
   And they could sit like that for a long time, but the doors of the room opened unexpectedly. Nayeon, Jisu and Eunhyuk walked inside, and stopped looking at both teenagers. They immediately dropped their hands, moving away the heads from each other, both blushing terribly. Hyunsoo face dropped to the expression to one that he usually had. Soojin felt how hot is in the room. She ran through her hair with fingers.

    Nayeon looked at Soojin's hand, noticing a gold bracelet. She smiled widely, and showed them a thumb up, behind Eunhyuk's back, who was holding Hyunsoo's spear. He leaned it on the bench, where they were sitting

"We have to go outside," said the boy, going straight to the point

"What?"

"There's no guarantee we'll continue to be safe here," continued Eunhyuk, "Nothing happened when we retrieved the corpses. The situation should have calmed by now"

Soojin was a bit surprised of what he was saying. She knew that wherever this conversation is going, she's not gonna be happy.

"So?"

"It's taking you longer and longer to recover," said Eunhyuk, looking at Hyunsoo, "We don't know when you'll turn into a monster again"

Soojin clenched her jaw. She was mad at them for interrupting her and Hyunsoo, whatever they were doing, just to say things like that.

"You think..." the boy looked down, "I'm gonna harm you guys if I turn back into a monster?"

"No, you won't," said quickly Soojin, but Eunhyuk cut her off

"We can't be sure of anything"

"There are monsters that don't harm people," said Hyunsoo, and Soojin nodded her head

"So? How can you be sure you'll be one of them?"

The boy didn't say anything.

"How can you be sure that he's not gonna be one of them?" Hyunsoo looked at the boy with glasses, having a warm feeling in his heart when the girl talked

"I'm not, but I'm not gonna take that risk. A monster is a monster," said Eunhyuk, staying calm, while Soojin was doing everything not go punch him. She got some serious anger issues, or it's just this man making her so angry, "We don't have time. We must find a way to survive while you can still resist. I don't expect to you to understand. Just do your job"

   He was treating Hyunsoo like some soldier. Soojin looked above his arm, at Jisu and Nayeon, who only stood there, obviously agreeing with him. She felt a bit disappointed.

"What do you want me to do?" murmured Hyunsoo

"You just need to fix the camera in the garage. It'll be quick"

The boy put his hand on the spear, that laid next to him, and sighed, "Alright, I'll do it"

Soojin waited in security room, with Eunhyuk, Nayeon and mr. Han. They were watching Hyunsoo on the small screen, who was fixing the cameras in the garage, as he was told to. The black haired girl was looking at her friend, smirking at her all the time, but Soojin avoided eye contact with Nayeon. She had no idea what to say to her. She knew that when they'll get a moment alone, her friend gonna start an interrogation, her face said it all.

     Hyunsoo on the screen, was rapidly pulled by something by his leg. He swung in the air, and hang there, with his head down. Soojin quickly got up from the chair that she was sitting on, and moved to the small screen, furrowing her brows. The weird, green thing started to run down the boy.

"Shit, I'm going," she murmured, grabbing her machete

She rushed to the door, rethinking that she shouldn't have agree with this mission.

"Soojin wait," Nayeon stopped her by holding her arm, "I'll go for others, just wait for us, alright?"

Brunette clenched her jaw, and nodded her head. Eunhyuk took the crossbow, and left the room with her. They stopped in front of the doors that head to the garage, and after a few minutes of nervous waiting, Nayeon came back with Jisu, Jaeheon and Sangwook.

    All of them walked to the garage, moving very slowly, trying not to make any sound. It was very dark in there. The only source of light were flashlights that Jisu and Eunhyuk were holding. The boy pointed his crossbow at one place, when they saw a monster. Soojin recognised him as the monster, that they met on their way to 14th flood, the one that was extremely fast. But now he wasn't moving, he probably didn't hear them yet.
    Jaeheon started walking to the monster, raising his sword, ready to attack, but he was stopped by Eunhyuk.

"I think it's asleep. Let's not wake him up"

The boy started to walking away, and the rest followed him, Jaeheon at the end, just to see if the monster would wake up any moment now.

    They were trying to find Hyunsoo, looking around all the time, scared that something is gonna jump to them. But they finally found him.
    He was hanging upside down, around his body was wrapped spider's web, and this green thing, looking like slime, was covering him. They could hear a sound of squelching. The slime was moving, leaving his body.

    Soojin was first to walk to the boy, trying to free him from all the stuff he had on himself. The others helped, as Eunhyuk, Jaeheon and Nayeon were protecting them. Soojin and Sangwook carried the unconscious boy by arms. While for the man his weight was no problem at all, the girl had to put a lot of effort in holding him.

   They were peacefully walking back, when Jisu groaned unexpectedly, dropping her bat on the ground. The metal made a lot of noise, making Soojin flinch surprised. The bassist bent in half, holding by her stomach, grimacing and breathing deeply.

"Jisu, what's wrong?" Nayeon walked to her, and grabbed her arm

They could hear a sound, like a whoosh. Soojin tried to lift Hyunsoo higher, holding him with one arm, while the other she held her machete. The monster snarled, and they heard another whoosh. Eunhyuk landed on the car, hitting on it with his body, making the alarm go on. He quickly grabbed his crossbow, and shoot the monster, stopping his for a second. The monster started running to the boy, but he shot again, and the arrow went through his eye, making him stop. Thanks to him, others had more time to hide.

     Sangwook, Soojin and Hyunsoo, who just woke up, hid behind one of the columns. Jisu gave the boy his spear, and hid in another place with Nayeon. He looked at the weapon confused in the first second, but he quickly understood the situation they were in.
    Eunhyuk, hid under one of the cars with Jaeheon, clicked on the keys that he held in his hand, making the other car honk. The monster rushed to the sound. Both men take the opportunity and ran away from the car.

     Hyunsoo twisted his head to look at Soojin. She wasn't looking at him, she was trying to catch the moment when they could run. The boy felt her holding his arm, that was wrapped on her neck, and he noticed that it wasn't too easy for her. He tried to stand himself, but she was holding his hand very tightly, so even when he did that, they couldn't let go of each other. And on his other side there was Sangwook.

   The three of them rushed forward, when the car they were in front honked. Both teenagers flinched, and Hyunsoo tripped, falling on the ground, pulling down Soojin and Sangwook.
Monster was standing in a big distance from them, but he was ready to run, so it would take him a second to kill them. Sangwook and Soojin tried to got up from the floor, taking their weapons, ready to protect Hyunsoo.

     Monster started running to them. Soojin lifted her machete, clenching her teeth. When the monster was close to them, he got hit by a car. They looked surprised at the minivan, from which jumped Jaeheon, grabbing Hyunsoo and pulling him inside. Sangwook put his arm above the girl's head, helping her walk inside, and closing the doors behind them. She sat in the middle of the car, squeezed by others. She furrowed, seeing Nayeon behind the steering wheel, Eunhyuk next to her with his crossbow.

"Do you have license?" asked her Jisu sitting in the back

"Not really," the girl murmured, pressing with her food on gas pedal

"You are 23, and still have no license?" scoffed Soojin as the car jerked, hitting on other car with a loud bang

"Shut up!"

    Nayeon started riding the car like a road hog. The car was moving very fast, and people inside started swinging on the sides as the girl tried to avoid things on her way. After a few seconds she realised that it doesn't make any sense, and just started riding straightforward, running over the monsters. Soojin held her breath, trying to hold on something. With one hand, she was holding the headrest of the seat in front her, but the other hand was squeezing Hyunsoo's. Her machete was laying between her knees.
   Something fell on the ceiling of the car with a loud bang. It was another monster. They were all trying to get in the car. The window broke, and one of the monster grabbed Jisu, pulling her by the hair. The girl started screaming, trying to kill the monster, as Jaeheon rushed to help her. Terrified Nayeon was checking in the small mirror above her what was happening at the back. Soojin's eyes widened.

"Jisu, I'm sorry"

Jaeheon put his sword to the girl's neck, and chopped off her hair, releasing her from the monster's grip. Right after, another monster put his head inside, so she hit him on the face with her bat, pushing him off the car. They were coming from everywhere. Soojin grabbed her machete, trying to stab the monster that put his head inside the hole that appeared in the ceiling of the car. The monster pulled his hand, scratching her face. Another window broke, and then the front one. The monster tried to catch Nayeon, but she tried to focus on the road. Eunhyuk started to hitting him, later with a help of Sangwook they pushed him off. Another monsters started to breaking through windows.

    The car hit on something, stopping immediately. Soojin almost flew to the front. Sangwook was first to leave the car, crushing with his hammer monsters that walked in his way. Then Jaeheon and Eunhyuk have left. The girl looked at the boy next to her, who looked a bit confused, holding his spear.

"Jisu, Nayeon help Hyunsoo," instructed them Soojin, as she left the car

She raised her machete, and slashed the monster that growled at her. She was fighting the monsters that walked in their way, wanting Hyunsoo and girls to walk pass them without trouble.
    Another monster grabbed her arm, as she was fighting with him, having problems with freeing from his grip. Sangwook pulled the monster from her, smashing his head with the hammer. Soojin passed him following others, as she knew, he can fend for himself.  Mr. Ahn appeared in the garage, holding in his hands a big gun, who splashed out the fire. Sangwook joined others, as the other man started burning the monsters who were squealing loudly, running in every direction.

    The group rushed to the building, only to see another riot. A big monster, looking like a spider, was getting burned down on the ground, but still had the ability to walk. His legs were ended very sharp. He was getting closer to mr. Han that laid on the ground. Soojin noticed a little girl standing too close to the monster.

"Suyeong!"

The terrified girl turned the head to her. Soojin rushed to her, and grabbed in her arms, lifting her from the floor. The girl was very light, so Soojin didn't have a problem with that. She ran to the others, putting the girl down, and petting her hair nervously, checking if she was hurt anywhere. Luckily, she wasn't.

   Sangwook and Jaeheon moved mr. Han away from the monster. His leg was bleeding, leaving a red trail on the floor. The monster was stopped by Hyunsoo, who stabbed it in the middle of his big body. His spear electrocuted the spider, but he started stabbing the boy on his body. Soojin's eyes widened.

„Hyunsoo!"

She wanted to run to the boy, and help him, but someone grabbed her arm. She twisted her head surprised to Eunhyuk and furrowed. She tried to pull her hand away from him, but his grip was very tight.

  Soojin looked back at Hyunsoo. He was slowly losing it, the monster was stabbing him more and more. The girl was terrified. Maybe he can survive a lot, but not that much.

   The boy fell on the ground, with a monster on top of him, who didn't stop stabbing him. Soojin felt a big lump in her throat. They only could hear the squeaking of the monster, and see the trickles of electricity.

      After a while of it, the monster stopped moving, but so did Hyunsoo. Soojin froze, and stopped trying to let go off Eunhyuk grip. She was looking at the boy's legs, the only part of his body they could see. She couldn't move, she was too scared to what she could saw if she'd go there.

      But Hyunsoo could move. He put his hands under monster's body, trying to push it off himself. Soojin jerked off her hand out of Eunhyuk's grip, and rushed to the boy, feeling her heart beats extremely fast. She helped him to take off the dead monster. Hyunsoo braced on his spear, trying to get up, while Soojin took his arm on her neck, helping him. When the boy put the weight on his legs, he hissed, feeling a pain in the right ankle. The girl pursed her lips, and tried to walk with him, but he stopped, looking at others.

     People were watching him with a look on their faces that Soojin couldn't really explain. Everyone's was different. Some of them were scared. Some of them were worried. She looked at the boy's face, to notice that his eyes were black. But after a few seconds, they were normal again. Hyunsoo started walking forward, limping a little.

"Is your leg broken?" she whispered to him, as they were getting closer to quarantine room

"My ankle, maybe," murmured Hyunsoo, "I'll be fine, don't worry"

   Soojin clenched her jaw, but nodded her head. They were moving pretty slow, as for the girl he was a bit too heavy, but she tried to not complain. The boy put his hand on the handle of the door, and opened them.

"Hyunsoo..."

They stopped. The boy with a girl's help turned around. Everyone were standing on the corridor. The person that spoke was Jieun.

"Sorry. I know we made... things more difficult for you"

She had an honestly sad expression on her face. Hyunsoo didn't say anything. Eunhyuk took a step forward.

"This time, we'll let you chose"

Soojin twisted her head to Hyunsoo, and smiled softly. The boy didn't think about this for too long.

He closed the door of the quarantine room.
