It was a cold afternoon at the hospital, the faint smell of medicine and machinery linger throughout the white walls, a few doctors and nurses roaming through the halls. Doyoung walks around with a small bag with him, sipping into the coffee he bought outside the premises, going back to your hospital room to take care of you. He hums beneath his breath and takes a left, flinching when he bumped into someone but quick enough to react and rescue his coffee before it ruins his or a stranger's clothes.
"Yangyang?" The vampire furrowed his brow on seeing the human boy at a hospital setting, wearing a school uniform with a beanie on. "What are you doing here, shouldn't you be taking your finals at school?" he asks as he quips a brow at the boy, Doyoung knows the boy and his school schedules and is completely shocked to see him cutting classes right now.
"I-i I just went here to see a friend, h-hyung." The Lee stammered his answer, a tip lipped smile flashed to the older. He quickly glanced at the plastic bag he's holding and hid it away from the vampire, chuckling anxiously due to pressure.
"A friend?" One of Doyoung's brow remains raised whilst he interrogates the younger, not really buying the excuse the boy gives. The vampire looks onto the male and studies him, catching a glimpse of a plastic bag hiding on Yangyang's knee. Before he could even ask about it, his eyes widened when the boy lost his balance and hiss loudly, the vampire kneeling down to help Yangyang to stand up properly. "You alright? You went to the hospital for yourself, didn't you?"
The human male stood up and got assisted by his hyung, covering his mouth and eventually let out a horrible dry cough. Yangyang wiped his palm with a tissue and smiled timidly at the male, restraining his heart to bang out of his chest at how nervous he is on the edge. "I'm fine, hyung. I'm not sick or anything." he assures the vampire but his lumpy voice and thought betrayed him.
"I'm dying."
The vampire furrowed his brow and asked about the boy's thoughts, Yangyang having no choice but to confess his visit to the hospital. The Lee had an appointment minutes ago and he referred himself because of his weakening body; pale skin, heartbeat going off charts, constant nausea, severe headaches, vomiting and his hair started to fall out drastically. Yangyang thought that feeling rejected by his body is the only side effect he'll get from getting revived but he never thought that the antidote inside his veins will have a big toll on his overall health.
And from the male's perspective, it feels like dying all over again. The gruesome amount of severe headaches, vomiting and nausea was torturing him every day, each day getting worse for him and he felt like he'll never survive the side effects he's experiencing. His case was hopeless especially now that the doctor said he only has a few months to live.
The vampire found himself speechless at the confession, brows creased as he looked at the poor boy, wondering what went wrong and felt like no one knew about the boy's suffering. He eventually found out that Yangyang didn't tell anyone from you because; Ten and Kun were busy at work, Doyoung was also busy with work and his family and you were pregnant, which the boy didn't want to be a burden to all of you and keep it to himself. Doyoung frowned at the boy and apologized, telling him that he shouldn't have kept it to himself since everyone in the household cared for him and it's sad to see him struggling alone.
"So Yang how did it go-" both males cocked their heads to a familiar soft and caring voice, seeing a Na coming towards them. Jaemin had himself in constant panic when he saw Doyoung beside his best friend, biting his lip and smiled nervously. "Have you seen our friend, uhm, what's his name again? oh Gerald, yeah Gerald, poor him. How is he?" he rambles in panic, hoping it will convince his hyung.
Yangyang put his palm on his head and shake his head in dismay, finding his best friend too idiotic and obvious to make an excuse, though the Lee has a extreme headache right now he still manage to wonder why is the Na is his friend on the first place. "Quit the act, hyung already knows." He blatants out in annoyance, hissing after when he felt his headache got worse on looking at a certain male.
The Na smiles through embarrassment on looking at his hyung, hands on his pocket at how stupid his lame excuse was on covering up his bestie. Turns out Jaemin knew about the condition and helped Yangyang get an appointment without anyone suspecting the two males, pretending that the two were just hanging out like all of you were used to. Jaemin also assisted the Lee on going to the hospital today, being Yangyang's support system and being at his side no matter what. He even listened to all of the doctor's advice when Yangyang walked away from hearing that he was dying.
"The doctor said there's no chance that Yangyang could live longer," Jaemin announces with a heavy heart, glancing through the hurtful doe eyes his friend is showing, he knows Yangyang still wanted to live. "But that's only for the human world.."
"What do you mean only?" Yangyang asks in bewilderment.
"It was the antidote that got you like that and in this realm, the technology and research about medicine isn't that advanced like in the vampire realm." Jaemin replied with a hum, recalling how Donghyuck made an extra antidote which is very intellectual to do, but sadly the antidote was injected to Yangyang since the antidote isn't effective on vampires who got killed by getting stabbed by a steak. The human cinnamon roll looks onto his vampire hyung and smiles, knowing that maybe his hyung has an idea. "Hyung, is there any chance that any of your vampire workers can prolong my bestie's life, please say yes."
The vampire glanced upon the Na wrapping his arms onto his left arm, pouting as if it was a life or death situation, in which it is from Yangyang's case. Doyoung presses his lips into a thin line and thinks deeply, realizing something quite obvious to his knowledge. "Well, it is my responsibility that Yangyang got severely ill and let's just say we're indeed lucky that there is one way to prolong his life, which is turning Yangyang into a vampire." He mumbles, it was the only way to save the boy from another death.
"Wait, isn't that illegal?" Yangyang utters out, concerned about getting his hyung in trouble more than his health. He didn't want any more ruckus to happen from the realm at all.
"Actually no, I mean, vampires stopped making humans into vampires a million years ago but there is no rule telling that it's forbidden to do so."
Jaemin glanced at his in-law and had his lips parted, curious at how Doyoung would execute his proposal of turning his bestie into a full blooded vampire. "So you're going to bite Yangyang away from death and turn him into a vampire, hyung?"
"What, no!" Doyoung exasperated and glared at Jaemin, disgusted at the idea. "I never said I would make him a vampire by myself!"
"Hmm yeah you didn't, you'd rather bite y/n-noona rather than me, I know that and it's basically understandable hyung. It's really understandable one hundred and twenty sevent percent." Yangyang tsks at the older, though half was meant to be a joke, the ill boy couldn't help but to throw shade at him, you couldn't blame him and the undying occurance of headaches. He just wants to live and get away from his sickness.
The vampire shakes his head and ignore the shade being throwed at him, not getting affected by it since it was true and he's lowkey proud of it. Doyoung blinks his eyes and suddenly remember he was suppose to be back at your room ten minutes ago. He groans, he need to prioritize the human boy first. "Me and Yangyang will go back to the realm and tell Kun and Ten tell them everything." He instructs, sighing and glance at the other younger male. "And as for you Jaemin, do me a favor and look after you sister for me. Also don't tell her anything about this and reason out I just went out for business, an unexpected call from the office." Though the vampire hates lying to you, it was required since he didn't want to stress you out especially you just gave birth a few days ago, knowing that you'll eventually understand his intention and won't get mad at it.
But for now he needs to help the little boy out and make him get away from the severe side effects of a vampire's antidote.
You were back at the house after three weeks, your back severely leaning on the couch you're sitting on as you dozed off due to exhaustion, tired of taking care of your newborn but it wasn't a problem for you. It was a tiring day for you to attain to your baby Winter and it shows the darkening circles underneath your eye, and your body eventually gives up and gives itself a short break. There is no harm in taking a good nap since Winter is asleep and the twins were with you in the living room, watching their new baby sister with amusement, stunned at the little one.
Silence preoccupied the living room, lingering sounds of soft coo from the twins as they glanced at their baby sister, tiny minds being stimulated at the wondering thought of why is their sister so small in front of them, the tiny kim sleeping at the wooden crib peacefully. Dopyo and Daisy were solely focusing on the newborn that they almost screamed when they heard a loud shriek from a distance, pupils narrowed as they looked onto Winter, relieved that the girl didn't wake up and is still sleeping beautifully at her baby crib.
Unlike Winter, your slumber didn't last long and your ears caught a familiar scream echoed all around the house, immediately fixing your posture and hissed in annoyance, standing up from your sit and wanted to scold Yangyang so badly, but a part of you question your motive to nag at the boy, knowing the kid just turned into a vampire a week ago.
You were confused at how Yangyang turned into a vampire being frank, not convinced at Doyoung's reason that the antidote injected through the boy's blood line slowly evolved the Lee to a vampire, how you find it off that there is a part of his explanation is missing, a heavy gut feeling resonated inside you that your husband is lying about it. As much as you want to confront your husband about the coincidence, you choose not to, calming yourself down and understanding him, whatever Doyoung told you may have a hidden intention beneath it and hope he's really pure the purpose of ever lying to you.
You started walking towards Yangyang's room to check up on him, instructing your two kids to stay out from their uncle Yang, especially Dopyo, who is still considered to be a human boy at this point. Your fatigued body brings itself to the corner of the boy's room, seeing Doyoung come down from the stairs hurriedly, wearing his specs that he must have used as he was working on paperworks a while ago. Your eyes catch the vampire giving you a soft look, brows creased and his lips curve down on seeing how tired you were; your snow white pale skin, drowsy eyes that have dark circles underneath and the grogrinesses lingering to your feet and body. It was obvious how fatigued you were and it was concerning your husband in the highest levels.
"Love, I'll check up on Yangyang and instead you can go to our room and take a rest."
"I'm fine Doyoung, you don't need to put me to sleep or something." You muttered out with a monotone voice, also in the urge to lash him out but due to your exhaustion, you saved yourself and the kids to hear you shout early in the morning. You inhale, closing your eyes for a brief moment before letting out a long sigh from your lips. "It's just that, I care for Yangyang too alright? I just want to see if he's alright."
The vampire didn't restrain you any longer and both of you entered the room, both brows were raised on seeing Yangyang trapping himself with a pillow fortress, trembling in fear as the boy, uncontrollable pants were obvious as soon as you laid your eyes on the boy. Doyoung took the initiative to ask what was going on and if the boy was okay, instantly hearing another loud pitch scream from the boy again, making you frustrated enough to scold him.
"Yangyang why the hell are you screaming so early in the morning?!" You hissed and glared at the boy with frustration, having a little control within you to raise your voice and start a ruckus that will eventually lead for your newborn to cry at. You were glad that you didn't hear any outburst from Winter and hoped that you wouldn't because of Yangyang screaming too much.
"I keep on seeing things!" Yangyang answered in a fast and loud pace, earning a nag from you but the Lee was rather focused on his fear to even care that he's still screaming. "I'm here in the room but why am I seeing stuff from the office? Why am I seeing myself working my ass there with Jaemin and how the fuck am I supposed to do when I'm having vision that someone likes me on that shitty office!?"
"Wait, what?" You and Doyoung uttered in unison, couldn't comprehend whatever the boy is explaining since the boy was speaking too fast, as if he was rapping for a big song that will make him go to instant fame.
The vampire boy curled his knees and hugged it with his arms, his body rocking back and forth, aggressive pants still visible from his body. From a distance,Yangyang could have looked like he already lost his insanity and went crazy for the day, which will happen if he still gets vivid imagery popping to his mind every now and then. "I don't know, I don't know, I don't really know. I don't know what's going on and I keep on seeing people, most people that I know here with me, in the office and I keep on running away from a guy named Xiao De Jun. He keeps annoying the fuck of me while I was peacefully doing work with Jaemin, and that guy fucking likes me and what the fuck is that? How the hell am I going to sleep with that information?"
Yangyang uses his ability and keeps teleporting all around the room repetitively, agitated and hyperventilating rapidly, trembling in fear and confusion. He then looked at you, wanting to cling around you but you weren't inviting him to do so, the glare and the visible annoyance was clearly uttered at your face. And instead, he clings onto Doyoung upon his dear life, kneeling in front of his hyung as he grips onto the male's shirt aggressively. "Tell me hyung, am I insane? Am I losing my sanity, am I even that attractive for a male vampire to like me?" The vampire boy asks out loud, the last question was sort of random and much due to his panic but he still asks anyway, scared of whatever is happening to his brain.
The older vampire look at the younger and sigh, his mind recalling the rambles that Yangyang talk about seconds ago, thinking deeply as to what is indeed happening to the new vampire boy beneath him, only for Doyoung to realize that the boy isn't that insane as the boy claims to be and he's just experiencing a vampire ability that is very rare for a vampire to possessed at this realm. "Yang, I think you have clairvoyance, a power to see the future or see something that is beyond one's senses." Doyoung utters out to calm the male down, but as expected, Yangyang was still panicking for his life. "Chillax kid, you're still fine and sane enough to live. I guess you'll start to live life as you can see the future within your mind."
Yangyang seemed to calm down from his senses and make himself stand up, still confused on whatever is going on through his newly vampire body. He immediately shot his eyes at the door to see his brother come inside the door, brows creased on hearing shouts and an unplanned rap from his vampire brother. Yangyang once again screamed when he saw Ten, remembering the vision he just saw from the male minutes ago. "Oh my fucking god mister fishy fish, don't get me started on what I see earlier from Ten!"
"Excuse me?" The half raised a brow at the younger, a hand on his chest as he debated to be confused or be offended on whatever the boy was babbling about, not really catching up on what his brother just said.
"I fucking see you dating an absolute donkey hyung, oh my god, what happened to your fucking standards? What happened to 'I will never date anyone except for Johnny', what are you letting a donkey looking half court you, I have high expectations for you and fuck you for disappointing me!"
"If you can see the future, does that mean you can see me reigning the realm?"
Silence fills the void when Doyoung asks the question, all eyes on him. The vampire couldn't help himself but to ask the question, the realm needs a ruler after all and the people are already asking who will reign and replace Taeil. It's been months and Doyoung was agitated at the thought of taking the throne, though he never wanted to be involved, guess it was fate for him to take the role, destined to rule the realm someday as Taeil imagined the vampire to be.
And since he knows he can't escape the upcoming responsibility anymore, it wouldn't hurt to ask if he'll do well, right?
Yangyang blinked his eyes and stared at the older vampire, sensing fear, anxiety and doubt the male has within himself, getting how terrified his hyung must have felt on the thought of reigning all throughout his life span. The vampire boy calmed down from his own future to help himself look onto his hyung's, checking for the answer all of you would know by now. A vivid and vibrant imagery pops onto his mind as he tries to commence his now future seeking ability, his complex sensory doing its wonders on his eye, the overwhelming flashes of images and scenarios coming at him all at once, Yangyang doing his best to maintain his composure and get used to his new ability and life form.
"You're going to take the throne no matter what and that's an obvious fact. I can see an imagery of you and Jaehyun working hand in hand to make this realm a better place than
