Author's POV
Two girls are sleeping peacefully when suddenly, one girl's phone rings. The sound stirs them both, and without opening her eyes, one of the girls, Navya, reaches for the phone on the table. Seeing the caller's name, her eyes widen and she quickly sits up, shaking her sister awake.
"Di... Di.... get up quickly...."
Her sister, Riya, remains oblivious, lost in a dream where a handsome, faceless man is kissing her. Despite her efforts, she can't see his face.
Navya, irritated by Riya's smiling face, mutters, "A distress call has come and she's smiling."
She sets the phone aside and resolves, "This girl won't get up easily. I'll have to drag her out of bed."
Looking up, she apologizes, "Sorry, Lord. I know she's older than me, but trouble is upon us."
"O Kumbhakarna's ki behan, wakes up!"
She grabs Riya's hands and pulls her off the bed, causing Riya to fall. In her dream, Riya feels the man lift her, but then she suddenly falls, jolting awake in pain on the floor.
Riya glares at her younger sister, who is barely containing her laughter. Standing up and rubbing her back, she snaps, "What's the hell, Navya? I was having a good sleep, and you ruined it."
"Good sleep or a romantic dream?" Navya smirks, raising an eyebrow. "Did you meet your future husband?"
"Mile jiju..."
Riya glares at her. "Shut up. Let me sleep. I still have time." She starts to turn away, but Navya interjects.
"By the way, your boss called."
Hearing this, Riya, who was about to lie down again, freezes and her eyes widen. Navya nods and covers her ears, anticipating the reaction.
"NOOOOOO!" Riya screams.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Frantically, she searches for her phone. "Phone, phone...."
Navya hands it to her, and it rings again."Put it on speaker," Navya requests, making a puppy face. "Please, Di."
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Riya picks up the call on speaker.
"H-Hello..."
"You took long enough to answer, Mrs. Banerjee," a cold voice states.
Thinking to herself, she rolls her eyes. "Like you, I don't have free time to call someone in the morning."
But aloud, she replies innocently, "Sorry, sir. You know how much work a married woman has to do in the morning... cooking, waking everyone up, andβ"
"STOP. I don't need the details," he interrupts sternly.
"Okay..."
"Listen, the meeting time has changed. Get to the office quickly. I'm on my way."
Her eyes widen in irritation. "kis ullu ke patthe ne time badla hain mujhse Bina puche....." And she rubs her forehead in anger.
"Language Mrs Banerjee." Sounds like scolding.
" Sorry sir, but still who changed the time without asking me?"
Silence follows, broken only by the ticking clock.
Then, his voice cuts through the silence. "Your boss."
She shuts her eyes tightly and puts her hand on her forehead and make a fist, beats herself.
Navya, holding back laughter, watches her sister's expression.
Riya, making a crying face, looks up. "Why, God, why me?"
"Mrs. Banerjee, be at the office on time," he says coldly, his anger evident.
"O-okay, sir... Sorrβ"
The call ends abruptly. Navya, unable to hold back any longer, bursts out laughing.
"HAAAAAaaaaaa....."
Riya throws the phone on the bed and runs to the bathroom, shouting, "Stop laughing like Ravana and get my clothes from the cupboard."
In minutes, she's ready, grabs her file, and heads out with her purse.
In the living room, Deepak was reading the newspaper while Kamya prepared breakfast.
Navya sat at the kitchen counter, enjoying a plate of hot chickpeas (chole bhature).
Just then, Riya's voice echoed as she said goodbye to her father. Hearing her, Kamya stepped out and called, "Riya, so quickly? I made your favorite chole bhature. They're still hot; eat some, beta."
Riya glanced at Navya, who was happily eating, and her mouth started watering. She made a sad face and thought to herself, "Never mind, my love. I'll enjoy you another day."
"No problem, Mumma. I'm running late. You guys enjoy."
Navya, noticing her sister's disappointment, quickly approached her."Di, one second..."
"Take a bite..." She extended her hand with a piece of the bhature.
"You don't understand, silly. One bite won't satisfy me, but fine, I'll have it."
Riya took a bite and then hurried off.
"Hey, be careful!" Deepak called out.
"Okay!" she replied.

ADAY Company
There was commotion everywhere around the meeting room, with people constantly coming and going. It was understandable, given that Angad Singhania had suddenly changed the meeting time.
A woman in a bodycon dress was instructing everyone, making it clear they needed to hurry.
"Hurry up! Sir will be here soon. Check the projector, screen, file, and everything."
Just then, a handsome and professional-looking man in a coat and pants walked in.
"Where's Riya, Soniya? She should be here by nowβthe main file is with her."
Soniya looked at him and said, "She must be on her way."
Before she could say anything else, she caught sight of a girl running and bumping into people.
"Sir, she's here."
Khanna turned to see Riya arriving breathlessly. "Sorry, sorry everyone. Am I late? Has the boss arrived?"
"No," Khanna replied.
Riya sighed in relief. She pulled a file from her purse and handed it to Khanna. "Here's the file. Hold it."
Khanna took the file from her.
"Guys, please, I'll be back in a moment. I need to fix my face and hair."
Without waiting for a response, she grabbed her bag and dashed towards the washroom. Inside, she quickly applied lipstick and fixed her hair.
As she emerged, Soniya announced, "Sir has arrived, guys."
Riya hurried to her desk, checked some papers in her hand, and started walking towards the lift. In her haste, she bumped into someone.

Angad stopped his car in front of the building, took a moment to survey it, and then handed the keys to the security guard for parking. He headed inside.
The receptionist saw him approaching and quickly called Soniya. "Sir has arrived."
Seeing him enter, she immediately stood up. "Good morning, sir."
Angad removed his glasses.
"Morning."
He walked towards the lift, pressed the button, and stepped inside when the doors opened, selecting the tenth floor. Within seconds, the lift opened, and he stepped out. After taking a few steps, someone bumped into him.
"So-sorry, sir...."
Angad closed his eyes and sighed. "Mrs. Banerjee, when will you stop falling?"
He opened his eyes to see Riya hurriedly picking up the papers she'd dropped. She quickly stood up. "Sorry, sir. Sorry once again."
"The meeting is ready?"
"Yes, sir."
"Okay, you go ahead. I'm coming."Riya quickly walked away and took the lift to the fifth floor.
Everyone was seated in the meeting room, including Riya. After some time, Angad entered with Khanna and took his seat.
"Start."
Soniya stood up and began her presentation with the help of the projector.
Blah-blah-blah... Blah-blah-blah...
After an hour and a half, Riya was getting bored, having already discussed the material with Soniya. Her eyes began to droop, so she glanced around the room. She noticed Angad looking at herβno, glaring at her.
She gulped and quickly refocused on Soniya.
"Sir, we just have to check the model for the photoshoot."
"Okay, make sure everything is perfect. I don't want any mistakes. I dislike dealing with tantrums later."
"Sir, the photoshoot with you and the model is also necessary," Soniya added, noticing his glare.
Soniya signaled Khanna to speak."Sir, I agree with Soniya."
Everyone eagerly awaited Angad's response."Okay, let's do this," he finally said.
A smile broke out on everyone's face.
Angad stood up and buttoned his coat. "Mrs. Banerjee, come to my cabin shortly." He left, with Khanna following him.
Riya got up, smiling, and approached Soniya. "Congratulations, Soniya! What a great idea."
Soniya smiled. "No, yaar. It's teamwork." They hugged.
"Okay, let's meet during the lunch break."

Riya arrived on the tenth floor, where only a few people worked closely with Angad: herself, Khanna, Soniya, and Darsh. She knocked on his cabin door.
"Come in," she heard from inside.
She entered the spacious cabin, where a large desk and chair occupied the center. Approaching Angad, who was typing furiously on his laptop, she waited for instructions.
Without looking up, he said, "Take the file on the table and give it to me before lunch."
Riya glanced at the four files on the table and then back at Angad. She picked them up and left the cabin, placing the files on her desk. She then headed to the kitchen to make coffee. Returning with two cups, she set one on her desk and the other on Angad's table before quietly leaving his office.
Settling into her chair, Riya took a sip of her coffee and sighed. She quickly began working on the files, aware of her looming lunch break and growing hunger.
