— chapter 10 —

you're perfect.

"are you sure your mom is alright with it?" keiji had asked over the phone as he layed down in his bed.

"yes yes they are babe. she's allowing me to do basically whatever i wan't since i have this whole bucket list one task being to travel outside of tokyo," y/n assured the boy in a tone that always calmed him down.

and with that the two began planning a weekend trip together in a city outside of tokyo.

this was the first time that the couple would be travelling together and they were both mixed with a wave of feelings.

'what was to come out of this trip exactly and would keiji be able to keep his girlfriend safe' he thought to himself.

as for the girl herself she was ecstatic with the feeling of spending time with her boyfriend but of course couldn't help but have a weird feeling in her stomach.

what was it? nerves? pain?

those thoughts lingered in her mind as she woke up the next morning getting her final things packed before she had to meet akaashi at the train station.

"honey make sure to call me once you both arrive in kyoto alright?" her mother spoke as the two sat inside the car outside of the station.

"yes i will," she gave her a small smile.

"oh also y/n, don't overwork yourself." were the final words her mother had told her before she exited the car.

y/n could only give her a nod in response knowing what she had meant by so before walking towards the ebony haired boy.

y/n noticed a yawn escape his lips as he averted his attention from the trains to his girlfriend to which she couldn't help but slightly chuckle at.

"tired?" she teased her eyes wandering to the small eyebags under his eyes.

she had noticed that akaashi had seemed more tired lately and was quite certain it was because of her.

the setter was an over thinker, his mind always swerving around with many thoughts. so forth she had known that her sickness was one of those topics that had lingered in his mind which is a reason she barely spoke about it.

y/n couldn't help but feel a small pit in her stomach at the thought before hearing his comforting laugh.

"just a little," akaashi placed a soft kiss on the latters lips before grabbing her luggage in his hands walking towards the train that had already arrived.

and with that the two enjoyed their long ride to which consisted of the two talking to one another, sleeping and such.

akaashi couldn't help but notice a look of distress in y/n's face as her leg bouced up and down her finger tapping on her knee.

placing his hand on her knee her shaking came to a stop as she glanced from the window to keiji who looked at her worriedly.

"you alright sweetheart?" he squeezed her leg reassuringly to which she slowly nodded in response.

it almost felt like y/n had something holding her back as she gave akaashi a small smile.

the setter could sense the ting of angst in her face but decided against asking her about it as he didn't want to ruin their trip.

arriving in kyoto 2 hours later akaashi pulled out a tired y/n from the train making sure to grab both of their belongings.

"who's the tired one now?" he grinned at the girl who only huffed out in response snuggling more into his arm.

catching a cab the two got driven to their hotel which was luckily quite close and also in the heart of kyoto.

opening the wooden door the couple was greeted with the nice room that had consisted of a single queen sized bed set in the middle filled with the basic necessities such as a closet, bathroom, table, etc.

y/n of course was quick to jump onto the bed a smile consuming her face as she felt the warm comforters on her body.

she could hear the faint noise of bags dropping to the ground her eyes screwed shut as she let out small yet long breaths.

akaashi slowly approached the girl laying on his side so that he faced her.

the boy couldn't help but smile at her softened appearance gently brushing a lock of her bangs out of instinct.

at his warm touch y/n's eyes perked open to be met with those alluring blue ones.

"we can rest for a bit before walking around as i know you're a bit tired," the boy sent her a small smile to which she only hummed in response before shifting closer to him.

keiji released his hand from her face only to wrap in around the girls waist pulling her even closer.

placing a delicate peck on her forehead he pulled away getting up from the bed to unpack for the two.

that is till he heard the sound of a phone buzz from y/n's bag.

"oh that's my mom i have to text her that i'm here," she mumbled about to get up till akaashi stopped her from doing so.

"it's alright i'll do it," he reassured the y/n before walking towards her bag to pull out her phone.

hi miss. l/n this is keiji. y/n's sleeping right now but we've arrived at the hotel.

oh hi keiji that's good to know! make sure to take of care her alright! she hasn't been feeling the best lately.

at the text he had just read akaashi couldn't help but frown ever so slightly a thought pondering in his mind.

'how much worse has her cancer been getting?'

y/n hadn't spoke a single word about so leaving the setter to allow the question cross his mind.

but nonetheless he pushed away those feelings before responding to her mother.

i will miss.l/n, i promise.

as the boy was about to put the phone back in her bag one more message had popped up on the screen his cheeks heating up at so.

the thought of doing something more with y/n ran through his mind as he placed her phone on the table beside him before glancing in the sleeping girls' direction.

shaking any sort of lewd thoughts away he began unpacking their belongings.

"wow keiji look at this it's gorgeous!" y/n exclaimed as she took yet another photo of the beautiful temple in front of her.

kyoto was known as the cultural capital of japan consisting of many beautiful temples, shrines, palaces and much more. overall it was a very popular tourist city to visit which is why the couple had decided to go.

"yeah it's really nice," akaashi eyed the temple in awe before flicking his gaze to his girlfriend who had a look of amazement in her eyes.

he couldn't help but swiftly pull out his phone to take a photo of the girl at the adorable look on her face.

with the sound of the click y/n snapped her attention to the boy who had a small grin on his face as he looked at his phone.

with so the girl was quick to cover her face from the camera a pout on her lips.

"ahh keiji don't take a photo of me so out of the blue!" she waved her hands back and forth in a childish manner. "at least let me pose or look decent."

the setter couldn't help but let out a low sigh at her words as he placed his phone back in his pocket before gently grabbing her hands away from her face.

it was visible that she had been blushing as her cheeks were flaring red.

'so cute' akaashi thought to himself before a small smile curved onto his lips. "baby don't be afraid you always look perfect to me."

those words that had escaped out of her boyfriends mouth had only made y/n more nervous her blush deepening even more if possible.

"hmmph," she huffed out as he brought her hands to his lips a delicate kiss placed on them. "can i at least take a photo of you?" she tilted her head cutely her eyes pleading at him.

"no."

"aww c'mon please that's unfair babe!" y/n whined as she placed her hands on his shoulders shaking him profusely.

"i'm not taking a photo alone of just myself," keiji kept his ground trying not to break for
y/n.

she only let out a sigh at his response before her eyes were quick to widen as if a sudden idea had come to her mind.

letting go of the boy she glanced around before spotting a lady who had been taking photos herself.

akaashi only watched the girl intently as she walked up to her tapping her on the shoulder.

y/n extended her hand out with her phone in hand to which the lady looked behind her shoulder to notice akaashi before giving the girl a warm smile.

now running back to her boyfriend she grabbed his wrist giving him no time to react as she dragged him to be placed in front of the lady who held y/n's phone.

"since you won't take one alone then we'll take one together!" she exaclmied with a huge smile.

that's when akaashi froze.

it wasn't because he was nervous of taking a photo with his girlfriend but it was because of how pretty she looked in the moment.

the sun reflecting off her face, her e/c orbs looking into his, her soft hair that was placed on her sides and finally the cute outfit that he always adored on her.

she was such a natural beauty that akaashi couldn't help but keep his eyes on her.

"you really have a way of looking adorable huh," he whispered to her as he snaked his arms around her waist tilting his head down to meet her eyes.

all y/n did was reflect the emotion back.

"aww you two look adorable!" was the voice that had cut their moment as she eyed
y/n's phone intently before giving it to the two.

the couple both stared at the photo their eyes wide.

'they looked so in love' was what was emitted in the photo anyone could clearly notice the looks of pure bliss and emotion.

"now you can add it to your photo album miss," the lady turned to y/n to which she only gave her a small smile in response giving her thanks before she took her leave.

"photo album?" akaashi turned his attention back to y/n who admired the photo for another second before turning her phone off.

"yeah i told the lady that i wanted photos for a photo collage i'm going to be making so that i have it as memories to look back on when i won't be able to move around as much," she laughed off scratching the back of her neck nervously.

akaashi was truly stunned at her response that he hadn't known what to say.

'i have to make this perfect for her,' were his exact thoughts though as he intertwined his hand with hers leading the latter to the next location.

so forth the two spent the rest of the day sight seeing and such.

as much as the two enjoyed their time outside an odd feeling built in their stomachs of what was to come once going back to their hotel.

and why had that been? this was the first time they would be alone in a room together.

yes they spent time at y/n's house but the thoughts that ran through the couples mind was different then what it had been now.

opening the door to their room y/n quickly strides towards the bed with an exasperated sigh as she sat down on the bed her body aching from how much they had been walking.

akaashi noticed the distressed look on her face walking towards the girl to sit next to her.

"what's wrong?" he tilted his head at y/n a look of concern on his face.

"my body just aches is all," she mumbled stretching her legs out.

it was true that y/n was in pain from walking all day especially with how weak she had been getting recently.

a few moments passed with a lingering silence in the air before the setter had spoken up.

"let me help," akaashi finally got out as the two locked gazes with one another.

slowly the setter moved back on the bed a weird being given to him by y/n as she was clearly confused of his intentions.

that was till she felt the familiar hands touch her shoulders causing her to flinch slightly in response before relaxing.

"that's if you're re alright with it," keiji's voice now spoke with one y/n hadn't heard often a jolt of nerves consuming her boys.

she could feel the boys hot breath against her ears her body stiffening at so.

but nonetheless almost as of her body acted on her own she nodded her head in response wanting the pain to be relived somehow.

shakily akaashi brought his hands back to her shoulders letting out a small breath before her began massaging her shoulders.

he had done such a gesture many times already so he hadn't known as to why he was suddenly so nervous.

y/n could feel her tense muscles relaxing, intentionally letting out a relieved sigh.

slowly her eyes fluttered shut as she enjoyed his soft yet calloused hands on her skin.

akaashi had noticed her once distressed look wavering into one of calmness to which he took as a cue to take a step further.

the boy continued what he has been doing before slowly moving his hands down her back.

at the change y/n had tensed up ever so slightly going clearly noticed by akaashi as he felt a tang of guilt in his body.

about to move his hands back the boy was surprised when she she only brought them back down.

"s-sorry," was all she could utter out her face blooming red at her quickness to move his hands.

but before she could continue the girl was swiftly spun around to now face akaashi who had his arms wrapped around her back as he straddled her.

y/n noticed the faint blush on her boyfriends cheek as she stared into his eyes that were filled with an unknown emotion.

but before she could even react akaashi had brought his lips to hers in a passionate kiss.

y/n was quick to respond moving closer to the boy as she wrapped her legs around his torso their bodies basically glued to one another.

his hands began roaming down down her back as it now was placed on the lower end of her waist before he quickly lifted the girl to only place her back on the bed.

now his arms on either side of his girlfriend who now held a shocked expression they both kept a similar gaze before she attached her lips to his once again but more with one of hunger.

the action but the girl had surprised keiji feeling the emotions through the kiss the same feeling coarsing through his body as he returned so.

a few moments passed before she could feel the boys tongue graze her lips to which she obliged opening her mouth slightly as akaashi slipped his tongue in.

the two now fought for dominance the feeling of one another basically trying to beat the other. but in the end akaashi had won asserting himself.

at this point y/n was so caught up in the moment enjoying the sense of euphoria she felt coarsing throughout her body.

that is till she felt the boys hand slowly move from her thigh towards her shirt

she knew of what the boy had wanted to happen next but her mind has told her to stop.

so forth the girl was quick to pull back a slight look of fear on her face as she looked to her side.

surprised at her reaction akaashi quickly moved his hand away his heart dropping at the look on his girlfriends face. fear.

"what's wrong?" keiji whispered a small frown on his lips. "i'm s-sorry if i made you uncomfortable in any way. if you don't want to go that far it's completely fi—"

"no no it's not that," y/n snapped her head to meet his gaze. "i promise you it's not."

"then what is it?"

the setter noticed how nervous the girl had looked as she bit on her bottom lip her body shaking ever so slightly.

"you can tell me anything y/n," he gently placed a hand on her cheek caressing it with his thumb.

his eyes were fixated on hers his face only dropping when he saw small tears escaping her eyes.

"i—" y/n stammered as she kept her gaze on the latter. "i'm insecure about my body."

as those words escaped y/n's lips the boy only stayed silent as he waited for her to continue.

"it's just that w-with my cancer and all i haven't been looking the same. my skin is paler, i have more noticeable eyebags, i've lost a lot of weight and i just look—" she inhaled a deep breath as she attempted not to break down. "i'm afraid that you and others will think that i'm ugly."

"y/n—" akaashi's voice drifted off as he eyed her displeased look intently. "don't ever think that just because you aren't in the best health and may not look as you did before that others will think you're ugly."

leaning towards the girl he placed his forehead on hers so that she would have direct eye contact with him. "i personally think you are the most stunning girl in my eyes and my thoughts will never change no matter what. so please let me make you feel and know you're perfect."

at akaashi's words y/n couldn't help but stiffen her eyes bulging opening as she felt his hot breath trickle on her face.

'he really is the best person ever' she thought as a small smile finally etched on her lips.

slowly she wrapped her arms around the boys neck placing a soft kiss on his soft lips. "so make me feel that way keiji."

with those words sounding in his ears a grin now grew on the setters face as he captured her in another kiss as intimate as the one before.

akaashi this time slowly slipped his hand into y/n's shirt almost giving her a look to know if she was comfortable with his actions.

the latter had only gotten his response when she brought him even closer helping him to take off her shirt.

as he had done so akaashi couldn't help but stop what he been doing to admire the girls gorgeous body.

of course y/n had felt self conscious about to cover herself up but was stop when he had leaned towards her next to her ear.

"don't cover yourself baby you look gorgeous," akaashi's voice was laced with one of desire the girl flushing up at his words.

slowly he pecked her ear before trailing kisses from her neck down to her stomach.

y/n could only let a quiet whimper in response at his lips touching her bare skin as it was something new to her.

"k-keiji," she spoke above a whisper almost trying to prevent herself from allowing him to assert his dominance.

as if the setter had known what she wanted he lifted himself up swiftly taking off his shirt to reveal his bare skin.

at the sight y/n could only gawk at his appearance in shock.

she had had seen the boy shirtless many times before but it had just felt different this time.

she was broken away from her thought at the low chuckle that escaped akaashi's lips.

"like what you see?" he teased to which only made y/n fluster up even more as she attempted to think of something to say.

"i—n-no!" she huffed out stuffing her hands in her face embarrassed at how red she knew she had gotten.

"aww don't be afraid princess i think it's adorable."

at this point y/n was now baffled and in pure shock not only with the cocky aura seething from her boyfriend but at the use of nicknames he had been using towards her.

'who knew that the akaashi keiji would act like this' lingered through her mind.

"don't be scared
