(Name) has lost count of the days since her meeting with Mash Burnedead at his house. She really wonders how he's been doing.
However, her concern is on her silent colleague.
"C'mon, Rayne, don't be mad at me!" She whines, "It was an accident! I didn't mean to scare your rabbit when I used my magic! I didn't think it would pass out, though..." she mumbles, pouting.
The sword cane keeps walking, hell, even faster, as he tries his best to get the mission Wahlberg assigned to them finish already. His poor rabbit needs him, and he's not pleased to be assigned with the girl who made his rabbit faint.
"Don't ignore me!" (Name) whines, catching up to him. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know that your rabbit was scared of blood," she apologises.
Rayne furrows his eyebrows, "My rabbits are traumatised because I left them to you, (name). You lost Usakichi in the forest and found him a day later. Then, you gave Usao a damn chives instead of carrot and today Usako fainted because of your magic." He sends a glare at her way. "I don't know if I can put my trust on you anymore."
"Don't be like that!" (Name) exclaims.
"My trust on someone is depended on my rabbits, and you failed to obtain that."
"Rayne-"
She cuts herself off when she sees a familiar bowl cut ravenette, walking alone while munching on his cream puff. She feels the corners of her lips lift up, and Rayne glances at the teen.
"That..." he murmurs, as you blinks in realisation. "Rayne, I don't think he's the one-"
However, before she can finish her sentence, Rayne is already on his way to Mash. She lets out a loud groan before catching up to him.
"Excuse me, I'll make this test quick." Rayne takes out his wand before summoning his partisans.
Mash looks confused as hell.
(Name) lets out a sigh, 'Sorry, Mash. But I'll see you later,' she then takes a turn to walk around, leaving Rayne to test Mash.
Mash stares at the bunny handkerchief that Rayne hands out to him. "Are you... a fan of bunnies?" He asks, but Rayne keeps staring at him.
Finally, he accepts the handkerchief. "Thank you..." he mumbles before a certain (hair colour) haired girl gets into his mind.
He looks at the sword cane. "Are you the owner of the rabbit she had been searching for in the forest?" He asks, and Rayne freezes.
"....yes," he admits.
"I see." Mash nods his head. "Wonder how she's been doing." He murmurs, 'I didn't even get her name.'
After giving some advice at Mash, Rayne continues his searching. "Where did she go...?" He mumbles to himself, looking around.
Then, he sees a familiar figure at the corner of his eyes. He frowns at the sight of the girl who betrays his trust.
(Name) smiles when she sees him. "Yo, Rayne! Stop frowning!" She exclaims, but how can he stop frowning? She made his rabbits traumatise.
Plus, she doesn't even belong here.
A partisan is pointed at her neck, making her stop walking towards him as he narrows his eyes at her. "Show yourself," he says sternly.
(Name)'s smile widens as she raises both of her hands in surrender. "You got me." Suddenly, her skin cracks and falls like a porcelain doll, revealing another appearance.
Rayne glares at the imposter and sends a partisan at him, but the newcomer jumps out of the way. He sends another one, only for it to reflect away from the man.
'He countered my magic...?!' He frowns. "Where is (name)?" He asks, a partisan floating above him, ready to attack.
"Oh, you mean that fun girl? Oh, she's just fine," the man shrugs. "We've made acquaintances."
Rayne deadpans, honestly he'd believe that.
"She's playing my game right now. Oh, you better be fast if you want to find her. She's probably bathing in her own blood right now."
The sword cane widens his eyes before narrowing them, glaring daggers at the man.
"I would love to fight you, but I have some errands to do." He fakes a sigh. "But worry not. He will fight you."
Suddenly, a man appears out of nowhere, letting the intruder flee. "I will be your opponent. The serial killer and cannibalist, Jon Pier-"
Before the poor guy can finish his introduction, two red crystal balls are shot through each shoulder. Rayne blinks at the familiar magic as he glances at his back, to see his colleague.
(Name) is smiling, but Rayne knows better than to trust that kind of smile. Sure, she likes smiling, but this one is quite different. He takes a step back and lets her walk past him, towards the fallen opponent.
(Name) (last name) is not one of the strongest visionaries for nothing. Even Rayne knows better than to interrupt her when she's not pleased.
She stops a foot away from the poor man before crouching down, her eyes staring at him. "Where's your little friend, hm?" She asks, tilting her head to the side. "The one with blonde hair and ugly earrings. Yes, the one who wears a fucking lipstick. Where is he?"
Jon grits his teeth as he moves himself slightly away from her. "No answer?" She pouts, before an eerie smile makes its way to her lips. "Too bad."
She points her index finger at the man. Suddenly, a red needle pierces out of her finger towards the man's chest, taking his consciousness away.
(Name) bores her eyes at the man before huffing. She stands up and removes the imaginary dust from her uniform.
"Damn blondie tricked me." She mumbles, wiping the red liquid flowing down the wound from her head.
Rayne approaches her and hands out a magic handkerchief. "What did he do to you?" He asks as she takes the small cloth with a thanks while cooing at the cute bunnies decoration on it.
"He disguised as Lance Crown before. I asked him where the real Lance is, and he said I can find him in that one room. I'm so stupid to trust him, I know, you don't need to insult me-" She pouts at him. "I found the poor boy, but when I entered the room, dozens of sharp needles impaled me."
Rayne deadpans, "How are you still alive?" He murmurs.
(Name) grin as she moves her hand in a specific movement. Red liquid; or specifically, blood, flows in the air, following her hand gesture.
"This is the amount of blood I lost." She says proudly. "I did a great job on not wasting my blood, didn't I?" She wiggles her eyebrows at her colleague.
Rayne sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "You're not supposed to feel proud because of that." He groans. "You lost too much blood."
"Welp, too late." (Name) chirps. "I already feel dizzy."
The sword cane quickly catches her from hitting the hard ground as she collapses. He frowns, taking her in his arms as he stares at her pale face.
Yep, she lost too much blood. Need to take her to the hospital.
Is this normal to him? Much to his concern, yes. This girl has lost too much blood for a human to continue living.
But (name) (last name) is the crimson cane, a divine visionary whose magic based on blood. If it's not for her magic, she would've died even before he got to meet her.
The sword cane lets out another sigh as he glances at the way the intruder flees from him, silently hoping that he won't come to any other student. They won't survive if that guy finds them.
Little does Rayne know, he's quite wrong with that.
