Flashback
Little Falls, Jersey was a quiet yet wonderful town. The neighbors were always nice to everyone and children would play in front of their houses or in the backyard. Within one of the large homes was a family with three children; two girls and one boy. The large home had a pool in the backyard, a beautiful garden, and the inside of it had plenty of rooms.
Inside a bedroom with the walls painted with teal blue, posters containing music information decorated the wall, one poster of her parents decorated the wall as well, shelves stuffed with books on music, papers with lyrics to songs that were written, and much more. A round bed lay in the middle of the room and to the right, was a wide desk that looked very neatly organized with music sheets separated into organized piles. To the left of the room, there was a piano and a guitar leaning against the wall.
Laying on her stomach on top of her bed while writing the lyrics to her song on a piece of paper was none other than Elisa Evans as a little girl. Unlike her older sister and older brother who dreamed of becoming a actor and actress like their father, Elisa had the big dreams of becoming a singer like their mother and she's always loved music.
Imagine that the moment you're born and you already know what it is that you already want to be â that was basically Elisa. For as long as she could remember, she's always loved music and singing. Despite the fact that she loved music and always seemed to talk with her family, but whenever she was at school, she was quiet and didn't really have any friends unlike her siblings, who had plenty of friends to hang out with. Their parents, Ricky and Rosalina thought that it was because of the fact that Elisa had IEP and didn't want anyone to know, but it wasn't â their youngest daughter just didn't seem to talk to her classmates at school. Elisa didn't seem to mind the fact that she didn't have any friends at school to hang out with and just seemed to focus on her music, but that was about to change.
There was a knock on the door and her older sister, Emma walked in with a smile on her face. "Sis, mom and dad say to get ready," Emma says.
Elisa looked up from the piece of paper, putting down her pencil for a minute. "Where are we going?" She asked.
"Mom and dad are meeting with their friends from high school at the park, they say that they have three boys of their own around the same age as us," Emma said.
Elisa glanced down at the paper she was writing on and nodded, "Okay, I'll get ready," she said, climbing off of her bed and heading towards her closet.
After a while of looking through her closet, she was done getting ready and left her bedroom, closing the door behind her. She walked down the stairs and followed her family out of the house and into their minivan. It didn't take too long for them to realize and if Elisa had to honest, the youngest boy with the loose curls, Nick Jonas, was pretty cute and looked adorable in her opinion.
What seemed funny was that these three boys were the first ones that were able to wiggle their way into becoming Elisa's best friends, and the group of the four best friends was born with their love of music.
Present
Chasing Happiness. That was the name they agreed on for the documentary as they shared their story. After years of not seeing each other, they wanted to change that and try to bring back the friendship they had when they were just kids â back when the days were so much simpler. If they wanted to have that friendship again, they had to revisit their past.
Elisa stared out the window of the moving car of the town she was born in, memories replaying like clockwork over and over in her head. As the car came to a stop in front of her childhood home, she pushed a strand of her blonde hair out from her face and behind her ear as she got out of the car, reaching into her pocket for the keys to the wish. Her parents were out in New York City with her siblings since her sister, Emma had a movie premier for the movie she was in. She ignored the fact that she was being filmed for the documentary as she opened the front door for them to walk in, the cameras getting a view of the inside.
"This is it. The home I grew up in," Elisa said, looking around the place and noticing that everything was still the same from so many years ago. "Everything's the same,"
"Can we look around?" One of the cameraman holding one of the cameras asked, wondering if they were allowed to look around the whole place.
Elisa nodded with a soft smile, "Yeah, go ahead," she said.

Elisa sat on a black couch, the camera focused on her as memories just continued to run around in her head as if it was only yesterday when the memories actually happened.
"It felt a bit weird being back in the house where a lot of stuff happened, good and bad." Elisa said honestly, looking straight at the camera. "But when me, Joe, Nick, Kevin were talking about doing this, I looked at them and told them, 'If we're gonna do this, then we have to do this the right way. Revisit the past and just be honest about everything, even about the good stuff and the bad stuff.'"
