At school the next day, Jocasta spent her free period in the library, learning new spells and studying. She might be a chaotic person but she did love school. In a way. And she cared about her grades a lot. Besides, she takes the time to help the librarian with restocking returned books, every now and then.
"Heard something interesting about you." A voice suddenly whispered in her ear as she reached up to place another returned book into the shelf. Recognizing the voice, she smiled a little to herself and turned to see Lucien there, standing behind her. He was dressed normally, this time. Or as normal as a person who was raised in hell could be.
He was in all black. Black t-shirt with Friday the 13th printed on it, black pants, black shoes and a black leather jacket. His curly hair was slicked back partially, exposing more of his pale face and dark circled and soulless eyes.
"And what have you heard, exactly, Lucy?" She asked, holding on to another book, leaning on the shelf behind her. They had to talk quietly because the librarian was a real bitch about maintaining silence and using their indoors voice.
Lucien grinned slightly as he leaned on the opposite shelf with his hands in his pockets. "Helping the little halfling mortal with her incompetent principal? That is a punishable act I'm afraid I can't let sly."
"And what are you gonna do about it?" Jocasta challenged him, leaning in front of him slightly.
Lucien pushed himself off the shelf and he began walking towards her. The closer he got, the more she backed away, making her back hit the book shelf again as he stood directly in front of her. He glanced at the book in her arms before taking it and setting it back on the book cart.
Lucien then smirked in satisfaction once he saw a tinge of pink grace her skin. She was so easy to make fluster when it came to him and his brother. Anyone else would be having a hard time, but with him, it was easy to rile her up. Especially so with Lucien. For he had studied a lot of human contact before being sent to Greendale with Gabriel.
Lucien studied how some male mortals would romance female mortals and he would learn what to do and what not to do to a woman, which made him an expert at flirting and seduction.
His favorite guinea pig was Jocasta. In fact, she was his only guinea pig.
One of his hands made it's way to her hip and the other one gently moved a stray strand of her black hair away from her face and behind her ear, gracing her jawline softly with his cold fingertips.
Jocasta felt her heart race as she watched him play with her low ponytail. It seemed like he was the only one that had this type of effect on her. And she was still wondering if that was a good thing or not. With him being the anti-christ and all. Then again, she's no better.
"Why do you have your hair in a ponytail?" He whispered, his face close to hers as he continued to play with her hair. "Haven't I told you what this does to me? Are you trying to entice me?"
"S-Stop it." She stuttered out, blushing even more as she shoved his laughing form away. She turned to continue her work as he laughed quietly. Lucien can be a real flirt and goofball sometimes.
"Oh, you are so easy to make blush, my love." He chuckled out as he began helping her with the books. "You look beautiful all the time."
"Thank you, Lucy." She said almost sarcastically. "What brings you here? You're not following me, are you?"
"You are ours. We always know where you are." Lucien said nonchalantly as she began pushing the cart further down the aisle. He followed closely behind. "I can't visit my favorite red witch?"
"You and Gabe hate this school, Lucy." Jocasta scoffed out humorously, "If you had the choice to burn this place to ashes, you would do it in a heartbeat. So, what's up?"
"Clever, you are." He mused over before sighing. "Well, yes, I do need to talk to you about something."
"What is it?"
"It's about the halfling and her choice."
"I told you, she's still human, she should make her own choices."
"No, I had another vision." He said seriously, making her pause. Jocasta stopped to see he held a very serious look. Whenever he had a vision of future actions, it was always something to worry about.
"What did you see?"
"Spellman may not go through the baptism." He said, looking around them to make sure no one was listening to them. "And I'm afraid that it will piss off our father and cause a chain of events out of our control."
"What? Sabrina doesn't go through the baptism?" She asked, shocked by the news. "And what do you mean by a series of events out of your control? Like someone is going to die or something?"
"No, I didn't see that far." He said, trying to remember more of his vision. "This is the first time something like this has happened to me. I usually only see a vision of one action or event. Never the outcome of that action.....I must talk to your father about it."
"Good luck," She sighed almost sadly as she resumed her book shelfing. "The only time I see her is for a sΓ©ance or if it involves his company of some sort."
Lucien could see the sadness in her bright eyes as she spoke. Her father was a touchy subject. He was a man who loved his family but never seemed to have the time for them and he could feel how much it hurts her. No matter how much she would hide it with witty comments and confidence.
And as much as he wanted to make it better for her, he didn't really know the first thing about comforting someone. Well, he did but he didn't know if it was wanted or not.
"How about tonight, we stay indoors and watch those mediocre horror films and eat a great amount of those highly dangerous foods that mortals seem to kill each other for."
Jocasta paused as she was about to place another book in the shelf. She looked at Lucien as a smile slowly graced her lips. He was trying to make her feel better about her daddy issues. In his own way, though.
"I believe mortals call it......a movie date?" Lucien said, unsure if he was using the correct term.
Jocasta giggled a little. She forgets how cute he can be when he was clueless to the ways of humans. "Yes, that's what it's called." She confirmed, feeling grateful of him in that moment. "I would love to but Halloween is reserved for mother and I. Besides, I also promised Sabrina I would give her a birthday present in the morning."
"Well, even then," Lucien shrugged, walking past her. "There is always time after the Baptism. Think about it."
Jocasta watched as he left her in the library with a small smile. Lucien, though is mostly emotionally unavailable and very conniving to most, can be sweet when he wanted to.
