I'm lost, I don't know where I am.

"Shige!"

Someone called out in a distance. I opened my eyes to see myself surrounded by tall sunflowers. I look down to see myself in a white t-shirt and I'm currently holding a straw hat. This somehow feels familiar.

"Shige-chaaaan! I finally found youuu!" It was (Y/n)'s voice.

I look over in front of me to see her, but she's a child.

Oh, this is a memory from my childhood. Why am I dreaming of them now?

She was holding my hands as she looked back at me while we were walking out of the maze of these tall sunflowers, "Were you scared, Shige-chan? Ritsu is crying since he said he couldn't find you. Don't wander too far in this garden Shige, even my grandpa gets lost here," She said as she gives me a toothy grin.

Her front tooth has a gap since she lost one of her frontal teeth. I nodded, "Sorry. But thank you for finding me!" I said as I smile at her.

"Of course! I will always make sure you're alright, Shigeo," She said.

I don't know what came over me, but the words that she said made my cheeks heat up. I smiled and nodded, "I will too!" I replied.

"I like you, Shigeo! I really don't want to ruin our friendship, but the feelings I have for you are too strong for me to ignore." (Y/n) said as she bowed in front of me. Her eyes were closed shut as a visible blush spread across her cheeks.

I felt a tug on my heart. She sounded so sincere, and it feels different from the past confession I had with Emi-san. I don't know what I should say, even Ekubo beside me stayed quiet and seemingly waiting for me to reply to her words.

"I'm sorry, But I like someone else, (Y/n)-san," I said.

I felt a tug on my heart once again.

(Y/n) laughed nervously, "Oh! Uh...I-I understand, Shigeo!" She said.

She sounds like she's holding back her tears. Her voice is slightly trembling. Was I too harsh with my words? Why do I feel guilty saying that I like someone else? Most importantly, why does it hurt me to see her with that expression? She's smiling, but I know that she's not happy. She's concealing her sadness and disappointment through a smile.

I don't like that.

"Shige! Wake up! You'll be late for school!"

Shigeo slowly opened his eyes to see the familiar boring ceiling his room has. His eyes flutter as he rubbed it gently whilst getting up from his futon. A weird dream.

Once he regained consciousness, he immediately forgot about the dream he had. Though, the funny feeling of heaviness in his heart stayed. He got up, deciding to get ready for school. While folding his futon, his eyes landed on the stuffed toy that (Y/n) had bought for him last night.

Last night, huh?

"Shigeo! look! I'll buy this for you, it's cute!" She said with a wide smile as she was hugging a stuffed toy against her chest.

Shigeo sweat dropped as he shook his head, "No need, (Y/n)! You already treated us a lot," He said as he sheepishly looked over to his brother and his friends who were currently eating the snacks she had treated them.

The girl laughed as Shigeo looked back at her, "Nonsense! Besides, I didn't get you anything for your birthday last year since I was with grandpa, so here!" She said she gives Shigeo the stuffed toy.

Shigeo stared at it. The boy couldn't help but smile, it was indeed adorable, and it somehow reminded him of Ekubo. It was a black bear with a red circle on its cheeks. He scoffed.

He then watches you walk toward the cashier to pay for the stuffed toy. Shigeo looked over to his side to see Ekubo observing the stuffed toy.

"It looks like you, Ekubo," Shigeo said as the green spirit groaned and facepalmed.

Shigeo snapped out of his trance as he heard a knock on his door, slowly it opened revealing Ritsu.

"Nii-san, breakfast is ready," Ritsu said as Shigeo gives him a smile and nodded.

"I'll be downstairs," He replied as Ritsu shortly nodded right after and closed the door.

Shigeo sigh. The dream that he has somehow bothered him. He couldn't quite remember it, but the feeling of heaviness in his heart sends De Ja Vu. He decided to ignore it and got himself ready for school.

As he quietly walked the sidewalk, he watches the cars passing by on the road. Ekubo was not anywhere near him so he guessed he went to bother Serizawa and Reigen. He felt lonely, but he somehow feels comfortable about it.

"Mizuki! That's disgusting!"

His attention perked up when he heard the familiar voice of his friend. He looked up front to see her with her best friend, Mizuki Kagaya. They were both walking together. Shigeo quietly watched as (Y/n) slapped Mizuki's arm which caused the male to stumble on the sidewalk, hitting the wall beside him. The girl laughed.

She laughed wholeheartedly.

And upon hearing that, Shigeo once again felt a tug in his heart.

He couldn't quite understand what was happening.

Why does he feel so awful? He feels somewhat envious. But why?

1:34 PM, Lunch Time

Shigeo walked out of his classroom as he head towards his clubroom to eat lunch with his club members along with the members of the telepathy club. As he walked out of the said classroom, he immediately spotted (Y/n) that's being dragged by Mizuki out of her classroom. He stands there quietly as he watched the whole scene.

"Mizuki! Let gooooo!" She whined as she tried to get Mizuki to let go of her uniform back collar.

"Shut it! You owe me lunch, remember?" Mizuki said as he glared at the girl who also glared back at him.

"As far as I remember, you're the one who owes me lunch!" She replied in an angry way whilst glaring at the orange head.

"I'm broke as fuck, (Y/n)! Now, Come on!" Mizuki said as he surprisingly grabbed (Y/n)'s waist which caused her to yelp, without any effort for Mizuki, he easily carried the girl on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Mizu! Drop me now!" The girl shouted angrily as she keeps hitting Mizuki's head as the two of them walked away towards the cafeteria.

Shigeo doesn't know why, but he's starting to give in to his feelings.

He is jealous.

But why?

The boy decided to ignore it once again as he quietly made his way toward the clubroom. He feels awful, and the feelings he has is bothering him.

Arriving at the said room, Shigeo entered as he quietly sat on the chair beside Onigawara whose eating his lunch as he argue with Tome.

Upon realizing the arrival of his club member, Onigawara turned his attention to him, "You good?" He asked.

Shigeo quietly shook his head gently as he grabbed his lunch and decided to eat it as quietly as possible.

"Oh yeah! Kageyama, you're good friends with (Y/n), right?" Tome asked as she pointed her chopsticks to Shigeo as she raised her brow.

Shigeo nodded, "Yes, why?" He asked.

"There's actually a rumor flying around the school that she's dating Mizuki, and I think that's true," Tome said.

What?

"Yeah, I think so too. They click together, two idiots," Onigawara said.

"Woi! Don't say that! (Y/n) has got higher grades than you," Tome said as he glared at Onigawara.

His best friend and Mizuki are dating.

The boy once again has felt the tug in his heart.

I don't like this.
