"Ōhayo, Ritsu," Shigeo greeted Ritsu with a smile.

This action, however, made Ritsu stare at him in shock and also in confusion.

Last night, his older brother went home a little late, and he didn't even say anything as he went upstairs to his room to continue his disturbed sleep in Yui's car.

And right now, this very morning, Shigeo greeting him with a smile is veeery unusual.

What happened last night? Ritsu asked himself.

"Ōhayo, Oka-san," Shige greeted his mom, with also a smile.

"Ara! You seemed to be in a good mood today, Shige?" His mom asked.

Ritsu eyed his older brother a bit suspiciously, but his older brother seemed to be unaware of it.

"Yes, I slept good last night," Shigeo replied.

"What did you even do in Kyoto with Mrs. (L/n) last night?" His mom asked.

This somehow picked the interest of the quiet Ritsu. He was unaware of this because he was studying for the upcoming quiz bee in their school next week. He was one of the participants too, so he needed to get ready.

"You went to Kyoto last night, Nii-san?" Ritsu asked.

His older brother nodded, "Yes," He replied shortly, still, with a small smile.

He's such in a good mood! Not that it's bad or anything, but it's really unusual for Ritsu because last night—

Well, Last night, he looks very tired.

Even so, Ritsu didn't question the sudden change of Shigeo's mood. After all, he considers this as a good thing. It's just really unusual since he's not used to it.

Ritsu then took a seat beside Shigeo at the dining table. He smiled at him and say, "Let's go to school together," He said.

Shigeo looked at him for a second, "Oh, let's go fetch (Y/n)-san first," He said, still with a small smile.

This certainly caught Ritsu off guard.

This was really out of the blue and it's making him confuse. Though, he smiled and nod, "Sure," He replied.

What happened to Nii-san?

Ritsu asked himself as he watch Shigeo eat his own breakfast.

Both Ritsu and Shigeo stood in front of the gate of the (L/n) household. Shigeo had run the doorbell as the two of them waited for a minute.

The door was opened to reveal Yurio in his college uniform, "Oh, hey guys!" He greeted with a smile as he shut the door behind him.

"Ōhayo, Yurio-san, where's (Y/n)?" Shigeo asked.

Ritsu looked at his older brother with an amused face.

"Oh, Kagaya household. Just behind you guys," He said with a smile, "I gotta go, I'm running late," Yurio said as he excused himself from the two middle schoolers as he grabbed his motorcycle keys from his bag.

Shigeo and Ritsu politely bowed at Yurio as they both looked over to Mizuki's house.

Without a word, Shigeo rang the door bell of the household.

And without even a moment of waiting, the door was widely open, revealing (Y/n).

"Good morning guys!" She said with a bright smile. She quickly run towards the gate and opened it, "Come! Mizuki's getting ready!" She said cheerfully.

W-What the hell is happening?! Just the other day (Y/n)-Senpai was balling her eyes out about Nii-san! And now, two of them are acting really close again! What happened?!

Ritsu shouted at himself inside his thoughts as he stared at his smiling senpai. His older brother was smiling too?! What?!

"Ōhayo, (Y/n)-san. Did you sleep well last night?" Shigeo asked.

What the [curse word]?!

(Y/n) nodded with a wide grin, "Yes, I did. How about you, Shige-chan?" She asked.

"I did too," Shigeo replied, not with his usual monotone, but something with in the lowercase of being happy.

WHAT THE [CURSE WORD]?!

"That's great to hear! By the way, mom baked us some cookies, it's your favorite flavor, Milk!" (Y/n) said with so much enthusiasm. She looks happy and cheerful. And it's certainly creeping out Ritsu since— YOU KNOW! She was heartbroken like— 1 day ago!

Shigeo nodded with a smile, "Sure, let's have it for lunch," He replied.

AND NOW THEY'RE GOING TO EAT LUNCH TOGETHER?! WHAT THE [QUACK]?!

"I bet you're weirded out too,"

Ritsu jumped when he felt a breath on his ear. He quickly looked back to see Mizuki grinning at him like an idiot.

"Just the other day, (Y/n) is crying like a little [Quack]. I'm confused too, Ritsu," He whispered to the young Kageyama.

Ritsu sigh, "You're not the only one," He replied back as a whisper too.

Both of the immediate shut their mouth when (Y/n) looked at them, "Oh! Mizuki's here, let's go," She said.

Shigeo nodded as the three of them continued to walk towards the school. They were walking in pairs. Ritsu was walking beside and Mizuki, and (Y/n) and Shigeo were walking side by side each other.

This is very weird.

Really, Really weird.

"What happened?" Ritsu asked.

"I don't know. She went to my house, earlier than usual— and let tell you, she's been cheerful than usual! It's like— the heartbreak stuff didn't happened!" Mizuki said as he lowered his voice, trying to prevent (Y/n) from hearing their conversation.

"Is that so?" Ritsu replied.

"Yeah, how about your brother? Anything weird about him?" Mizuki asked.

"He looks and sound very happy. Were you with them in Kyoto last night?" Ritsu asked.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Mizuki asked, raising his eyebrow in the process.

"Nii-san said he's with Mrs. (L/n) last night in Kyoto," He said.

"Woah— wait! I don't want to assume things 'cause that might be the death of me, how about we just asked (Y/n) later?" Mizuki suggested.

"You know what, you're right," Ritsu agreed.

The two of them decided to stay quiet during this walk towards their school. Both of them watched (Y/n) and Shigeo walked side by side quietly.

Of course, Shigeo was quiet during this, it was never new. But they both seemed comfortable with the silence. Just what the hell happened? Is what these two was always asking themselves.

The four of them arrived the school as they all changed their school shoes. Mizuki immediately does his as he walked towards (Y/n).

"(Y/n), we need to talk," He said with a serious tone. Along with having a serious expression.

"Eh? Okay?" The girl said, confused by the sudden seriousness of Mizuki.

The girl finishes putting her shoes as she looked over to Shigeo who seemed to be just watching them quietly. Mizuki noticed as he grinned at the bowl cut boy.

(Y/n) waved at Shigeo, "See you at lunch Shige-chan!" She said as she smiled at him.

Shigeo nodded and smiled back at her, "Okay, See you," He said.

He's smiling more usual than before, huh, I wonder if they worked things up.

Mizuki thought as he stuffed his hands on to his pockets as (Y/n) walked towards him.

"So, what is it?" She asked.

"Rooftop. Now," Mizuki said.

(Y/n) raised a brow, "Okay...?"

Reader's point of view

As I walk with Mizuki towards the school rooftop, his sudden behavior sorta makes me worried.

I mean, yeah, it would naturally freak them out that me and Shigeo started getting close again— because just the other day I was crying because of him.

So, I'm pretty this this 'talk' will tackle that topic.

The two of us arrived at the rooftop as Mizuki opened the door. The cold air brushed against my face, it was already November, and Christmas is just around the corner.

Hm, I wonder what gift I'll give Shigeo in Christmas eve...

My eyes fluttered when I also saw Ritsu.

The talk will seriously tackle about me and Shigeo. Well! I'm ready!

"So, (Y/n). Mind tell us what got you so cheerful all of a sudden? You're even talking to Shigeo now— WOW! IT DIDN'T EVEN TOOK YOU A WEEK! HOW?"

Now that's the Mizuki that I know and hate/love!

"Yeah, (Y/n)-senpai, even I'm confused with your actions along with Nii-san. He's been smiling more often, not that it's bad, it's just— it's very unusual," Ritsu said calmly unlike Mizuki.

"We need answers, (Y/n)," Mizuki said.

I took a deep breath and sigh, "Well—"

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LYING!" Mizuki shouted.

"GIVE ME A MOMENT TO SPEAK WITHOUT YOU INTERRUPTING ME, HUH?" I shouted back as I glared at him.

"You're free to speak now," He said calmly.

I rolled my eyes as I began to tell them the whole thing.

And they're reaction is priceless.

Mizuki's more priceless, I was just trying to hold my laugh as I stare at his face.

It didn't took me long to finish the whole entire story of what happened last night. I told them as briefly as possible, but still telling them the important parts of the even last night— I, of course, didn't tell them that I just found out that Reigen was my uncle.

Seriously, who would've thought that Shigeo's Master is my Uncle? It's weird!

"Oh wow... OH WOW! I DIDN'T EXPECT SHIGEO— WOW! JUST— WOOOOOWW!" Mizuki.

"I-I'm so proud of Nii-san..." Ritsu said as he wiped the tears in the corner of his eye.

"OH MY KAMISAMA—! WOOWWWW! MAN JUST ADVANCED! [CURSED WORD] WENT FROM ZERO TO A THOUSAND!"

"Pipe down, Will you Mizuki?" I said as I glared at him.

"WOOOOW! AND YOUR DUMBASS SAID YOU NEEDED TIME—! WOOOOW!"

"It makes sense, Mizuki. I mean, (Y/n)-Senpai did endure a heartbreak, it'd be reasonable if Nii-san wanted to do something to gain her back," Ritsu said as he nodded, agreeing to himself about he said.

"WOOOOOOW!"
