"Uhm... This is embarrassing," Reigen said as he put his hand against his nape and nervously looked at his older sister.

Yui clicked her tongue as she pulled Shigeo closer to him. She pointed towards Reigen, Her oldest son, and Serizawa.

"Operation! Find my bratty daughter!" She commanded whilst shouting.

"I didn't sign up for this," Reigen sigh as he rolled his eyes.

"I'll pay whoever finds my granddaughter~!" A weak voice from upstairs balcony inside the living spoke. Everyone looked up to see a hunchback elderly man with a black and gold cane.

"I'm sold!" Reigen said with a smile as he scurries away, "Come, Mob! Serizawa! Let's find my niece!" He said.

"I'm gonna get paid too, right?" Yurio said as he smiled nervously at his mother who was glaring at her, whilst still holding the timid boy close to her.

"I'll pay 10,000¥!" Michijo (Your grandfather)shouted.

"HEY! REIGEN, WAIT FOR ME!" Yurio called out for his uncle who had himself already out of the room.

Leaving Yui and Shigeo alone on the living room.

Yui patted Shigeo's shoulder as she smiled, "I know one place that my daughter is going to hide, and I want you to personally find her. Can you do that?" Yui asked the boy.

Shigeo nodded, "I can," He replied shortly.

"Good! I'm pretty sure she's at the sunflower garden, behind the mansion. Make sure not to get lost, I remember you getting lost in that garden. Be careful!" She said as she giggled afterwards as she pushed Shigeo away from her.

The boy was taken off guard, nonetheless he bowed and immediately went to the said location.

"I NEED THAT 10,000¥!!"

Shigeo heard Yurio shouted from the hallway as he runs after his master. They seemed to be determined to find her because of the prize money. But, as for Shigeo, he was determined to find her so he can properly apologize to her.

The sunflower garden.

Shigeo has a faded memory on that place. But, he can only remember that he got lost, and (Y/n) herself found him.

The sun was already setting, the orange hue from the sky gives a nostalgic feeling for the sunflowers in the garden. Shigeo arrived in front of the gate of the garden as he opened it.

It wasn't lock, and the lock on the gate itself was on the ground, yet, he didn't find the keys with it. Yui was right, this is the place that (Y/n) would hide away from him.

Walking inside the quiet sunflower garden. The flowers towered over the boy.

"(Y/n)-san!" He called out.

But he received silence.

Not until he heard a rustle of the the flower not far from him.

And with that, he took the run for it. He was still slow, but he manages to take a glance that it was (Y/n), and she was running away from him.

"(Y-Y/n)-san! Wait—!" He shouted for her but the girl kept running.

Shigeo huffed as he composed himself as he continues to run after her.

"(Y/n)-san!" Shigeo called out to her while trying to catch his breath from running.

Meanwhile~

"Stop looking for her! The kid already found her!" Yui shouted from the balcony to stop those three men that was still looking for the girl.

Those three men looked up to her to see her smoking a cigarette, "Come up here to see," She demanded.

"Oh wow, they're playing tag-you're-it," Yurio said.

"MOB! USE YOUR ABILITY!" Reigen shouted from the balcony, cheering for the tired boy who kept running after to the girl who has a headstart.

"Ability?" Yui asked as she looked over to Reigen.

"Oh, Mob's an esper," He bluntly said.

"SHIGEO-KUN! USE YOUR PSYCHOKINESIS TO GET (Y/N)!" Yurio shouted.

"See, he gets it," Reigen said as he gives a smug look to his older sister.

He huffed as his running slowed down. He couldn't keep up with her stamina, and the sun's already down. The moon was the only things that gives them light throughout the whole garden of tall flowers.

"(Y/n)-san... Wait...!" He weakly called out for the girl who kept running. His vision blurred as he kneeled down on the ground, closing his eyes as he concentrate his breathing.

She runs so fast...!

Shigeo thought as he sulks.

I've done all my leg training with my club, and still I couldn't catch up to her!

He screamed at himself inside his thoughts. Feeling a bit embarassed that his stamina didn't improved much.

Shigeo opened his eyes to see (Y/n) kneeling down in front of him with a worried look.

"A-Are you okay?" She asked with a visible blush on her cheeks.

Shigeo nodded, "Yes," He shortly replied.

"That's good, okay, bye—!" The girl said as she immediately stood up.

But the boy had enough.

He knew that she was going to start running again, and he's already exhausted. He couldn't keep up with her stamina.

And so, before (Y/n) could even do anything. Shigeo immediately took a hold of her wrist. This caught her surprised as her cheeks burned bright red even more.

"Please... Don't run away. I can't keep up with you," Shigeo said as he looked at you directly in your eyes.

"I-I..." However, our main character had failed to create a speech as a reply for Shigeo's words.(I mean... I would too (Y/n).

"Can we go back inside the house, (Y/n)-san? It's already night, and it's cold. You don't have a jacket," He said as he gives you a small smile.

"H-Hold up, Shigeo! Let me go first!" You stuttered as your thoughts were swirling up with a lot of thoughts, making you unable to think straight. Damn, you couldn't even look him in the eyes.

"Come back with me inside the house first," Shigeo said.

"No. I'll stay right here, you go back," You said.

But Shigeo didn't let go of your wrist, "Please don't be difficult, (Y/n). I can't properly apologize here to you in this garden," Shigeo said.

"A-Apologize? For what?" You said in a surprise tone.

"I'll tell you if you come back with me inside the house." He plainly said as he stood up, still not letting go of your wrist.

"Fine...! Can you at least let me go?" You said with a nervous smile.

"No," He replied shortly.

The two two of you started to go back at the main gate of the garden. Shigeo was glad that he left a trail to not get lost while running after you.

"Why not?" You asked as you gently squirm your hand to at least get him to let go.

Shigeo didn't said any word as he quickly shift his hold from your wrist to your hand. He intertwined his and your reaction was priceless.

You're ready to combust in any minute now. His silence while doing this makes you overthink stuff— and he's making you feel emotions, those feelings that you felt when you still haven't confess your feelings to him.

"Why... Do you need to apologize to me?" You asked quietly.

"Because I hurt you," He simply replied.

His back was still facing you as he gently drag out of the sunflower garden.

"You... Didn't hurt me," You lied.

"I know I did. Even if you don't tell it to me, I know that I'm hurting your feelings. I pushed you away. I rejected you," He said with a gentle tone.

Shigeo's different in your point of view.

He seemed to have matured.

Or is he always like this?

Even so, you suddenly felt guilty.

"Are you only saying this because you feel guilty of rejecting me?" You said.

"No, I'm saying this because... I," Shigeo paused as he seemed to reconsider his words. But, he still continued to say what he wanted to say, "I— hurt the person I truly love..." He said as his voice toned down through his last sentence.

But still, you managed to hear it.

And upon hearing that...

Your heart skipped a beat.

Shigeo... Loves you?

"H-Huh?" Was the only thing you can say. And before you even realize it. The two of you had gotten out of the sunflower garden.

"I told you that kid will find my daughter!" You heard your mom shouted from the balcony at the second floor of the mansion.

You looked up to see everyone watching the two of you.

"They're holding hands," Yurio whispered to Reigen.

"10,000¥ for you young lad!" Your grandfather shouted as he hit Yurio with his cane.

"Now, get inside! It's getting cold out!" Your mother sternly shouted at the both of you.

The adults had already gotten themselves inside of the house.

Leaving you and Shigeo to be standing quietly in front of the sunflower garden.

"S-Shigeo—"

"I'm sorry for everything, (Y/n)-san. I was too late to realize that you're the person I truly love," He confessed, "Do I still have the chance to prove my love to you?" Shigeo asked.

Your eyes widened. You couldn't even come up with words to speak, and you seriously don't know what you should do in this situation.

You now find yourself dumbfounded by what Shigeo had said.

But you couldn't leave him unanswered with his question.

"To be honest, Shige... I still love you but... I need time, if that's possible," You quietly said.

"Then I'll be waiting for you, until you allow me to be your partner," He said with a small smile in which made your cheeks go red once again.

Wow, you're so easily flustered tonight (Y/n). And that's what I call, Shigephobe.

"Are you seriously willing to wait for me?" You asked a bit nervous.

"Yes. Take your time, I will be here waiting for you." He said as he gives you his sweet smile.

Your heart just jumped. God daym.

Shit... If this keeps up, I'm gonna have a nosebleed!

You thought as you took a deep breath.

"I'm glad to hear that, Shige. Let's go inside, granddad's gonna get angry soon if we don't get in," You said with a smile as you let go of his hand.

But Shigeo didn't seemed to like it as he immediately grabbed back your hand and intertwine his to yours again.

"Please don't let go. I like the warmth of your hand," He confessed with a slight blush on his cheeks.

"O-Oh! Alright!" You nervously said as you sheepishly chuckle afterwards.

I wouldn't consider this as the best night! BUT—
