LUKE AND I STAYED AT THE private beach for a few more hours, talking about anything and everything. Soon enough it was time to start heading over to Julie's for the gig her dad set up. When we get there, we see Julie's dad setting up the camera that is pointed directly at the double-doored garage. There are fairy lights and a piano set up as well as a table with food and drinks set off to the side of the yard.

We part ways as Luke heads into the studio to meet with the other guys as I head back to the club to quickly change. Once I get back to Julie's I make my way inside the house to check on her to see if she needs help with anything. I walk up stars, soon finding a room that has JULIE written in purple on the door. I knock, soon hearing a "Not yet dad!" from Julie herself.

"Hey, Julie it's me! I was wondering if you needed my help with anything," I offered, raising my voice slightly so she could hear me through the door.

She opens it with a grateful smile. "See, that is the right way a ghost should announce themselves before coming into a room," She chuckles. "Come on in." She moves aside before I walk past her.

I look around her room, noticing a lot of pictures, books, and jewelry spread around. "I have absolutely no idea what I should wear," Julie complains, sounding a bit stressed as she rubs the back of her neck.

"You tend to have great style whenever I've seen you. Do you have any options for me to see?" I ask, trying to narrow down what I have to work with as well as doing my best not to stress Julie out.

"I've looked basically everywhere and haven't found anything," Julie panics as she trust falls onto her bed with an exasperated sigh.

"Basically?" I repeate curiously

"Well," Julie sighs before standing up once more to walk over to a trunk that has flower stickers, patches, and drawings all over it. "This was my mom's. She passed away a little while ago and left me a bunch of clothes from when she was my age," She tells me sadly as she traces her hand over one of the flowers.

I hum in thought before saying, "I think it would mean a lot to her if you did. She gave them to you for a reason, right? Can I look at what's in here?" I asked carefully, not wanting to overstep my boundaries.

She nods before lifting the trunk's door, revealing many beautiful pieces of clothing that piled up to the top.

"I mean, I've worn her clothes before but I- I don't know," Julies stutters as she pushes her glasses up the bridge of her nose, inhaling deeply.

I look at her worried expression before sitting down on the floor, making her do the same. "Are you sure this is just about the clothes?" I ask quietly.

"... No. Probably not." She sighs, shaking her head. "I mean, music makes me feel closer to my mom but I still get panicked over these things, and then I feel as though I shouldn't because I have so many great things going on in my life that it feels selfish," She confesses.

I nod, taking in every word. "Do the guys know that you feel this way?" I ask.

"No, but Flynn does. She helps," She smiles a little.

I return it as I reply. "That's good. You guys seem really close. I'm happy you have someone like her in your life... But you need to know that your feelings aren't selfish," I tell her, making her nod as I continue.

"Both your thoughts and feelings are completely valid. Everyone has their own problems going on, people just deal with them in different ways." I shrug. "A lot of people just mask over it with a smile before it all finds its way out, but no matter who we are we are allowed to feel the way we do. It's just how life works," I add with a comforting smile.

She takes a moment to prosses my words. "Yeah, that's true," She nods in thought. "Thank you... for listening. It meant a lot."

"Yeah, no problem," I smile before leaning forward and looking into the trunk again. "Now, why don't we find something to wear for the video?" I suggest.

"Alright," She nods.

Normally I would have said "Yeah, no problem. Any time. You can always talk to me if you need it," but I can't. I can't lie to Julie. There are many reasons why and when I narrow it down it's all because of Caleb and the stupid deal I made all those years ago.

I feel terrible. Willie and I have been talking about it a lot this week. We feel really guilty about lying and hiding things from the guys but Caleb is rubbing in the fact that he owns Willie's soul and could end my afterlife for good.

I shake away my thoughts and soon Flynn joins us to help Julie get ready. At the moment Flynn was doing Julies hair as music played from her record player.

The theme we went for her outfit was butterflies. We chose a beautiful white top that went off her shoulders and had a strap across her neck. It had small butterflies of colors blue, purple, and pink placed around it. Flynn put Julie's hair in a half updo with a few of the same butterflies clipped in her curly brown hair as two of her front strands were tucked out. She looked great.

The music echos throughout the room as all three of us sang along to the lyrics. Julie and I talked a bit more about music and Flynn talked about Julie's major crush on Nick who she 'happened' to invite today. Julie then changes the subject to Luke and I which makes me fall silent. Her and Flynn tease me a bit before Julie remembers something.

"So Victoria, I have something I want to run by you which I had already gone over with the guys," Julie says suddenly as she ties up the shoelaces on her butterfly-covered boots.

"Shoot," I say from where I lean against her bed.

"You play piano, right?" Julie asks.

"Yes, why?" I ask as a smirk makes its way to my face.

"Well, it's completely up to you but I think it'll make Luke really happy," She starts making me squint at her teasing. "How would you feel about playing with me and the guys tonight?" She asks with a hopeful gleam in her eyes.

I huff a laugh at her joke. She blinks at me. She's not joking. "Are you serious?" I furrow my brows in doubt.

"Completely. Luke told me that you guys were working on some songs earlier. We all agree that your voice is really good! Plus if you're playing piano, then that lets me walk around and connect with the audience," She grins.

"Yeah, totally. I'll do it!" I nod, returning the grin.

"I am never going to get over how cool this band is," Flynn smiles making Julie and I chuckle.

3rd person POV:

"What's up, everybody?" Flynn cheers into the microphone. "Time to put your hand up, do a little dance, yup. Here's the new anthem from Julie and the Phantoms," She raps to the audience.

The crowd cheers with applause as the studio's double doors open, revealing a grinning Julie. She walks around the piano's seat and sits before adjusting the mic. "Thanks for coming, everyone!" She takes a moment to mentaly prepare herself. "Running from the past. Tripping on the now. What is lost can be found, it's obvious. And like a rubber ball, we come bouncing back. We all got a second act, inside of us," Julie sings as she plays a soft melody on the piano.

Julie stands, grabbing her other mic as the projector turns on. The guys appear with their instruments as Victora takes Julie's spot at the piano. Julie had let Victoria borrow one of her outfits for the event. She wore a sparkley tight-fitting long sleeve shirt with a v neck that was a dark midnight blue. She had her long blond hair in curls as well as blue eyeshadow on.

"I believe, I believe that we're just one dream. Away from who we're meant to be. That we're standing on the edge of something big, something crazy. Our best days are yet unknown. That this moment is ours to own. Cause we're standing on the edge of great!" Julie belts, the other instruments working with her voice perfectly.

"On the edge of great!" Victoria and the guys harmonize.

"Great!"

"On the edge of great!"

"Great!"

"On the edge of great!"

"Cause we're standing on the edge of... great," Julie walks around.

"We all make mistakes. But they're just stepping stones. To take us where we wanna go. It's never straight, no," Luke sings the first part of his duet as he grins at Victoria who is doing the same as she plays piano.

"Sometimes we gotta lean, lean on someone else, to get a little help until we find our way!  I believe, I believe that we're just one dream. Away from who we're meant to be that we're standing on the edge of something big, something crazy. Our best days are yet unknown! That this moment is ours to own," Luke and Julie harmonize together.

" 'Cause, we're standing on the edge of great!"

"On the edge of great."

"Great!"

"On the edge of great!"

"Great!"

"On the edge of great!"

"Cause we're standing on the edge of-" Julie sings, stepping up on the piano seat and getting up to stand on the piano base itself.

"Shout, shout! C'mon and let it out, out! Don't gotta hide it! Let your colors blind their eyes! Be who you are, no compromise! Just shout, shout! C'mon and let it out, out!" All of them sing, their voice belting with power as the light glow brightly.

"What doesn't kill you makes you feel alive. Oh-oh. I believe..." The rest of the instruments except the piano go silent as Julie sits down, still singing.

Luke walks forward, playing his electric guitar in between each of her lyrics. Victoria's fingers move to the melody as Luke sits next to her on her left. She looks up into his eyes as they continue to play together.

"...I believe that we're just one dream. Away from who we're meant to be. That we're standing on the edge of great!" Luke watches carefully as Victoria's ringed fingers glide across the piano keys.

Julie stands as her voice echoes throughout the outdoor space. "Something big, something crazy. Our best days are yet unknown! That this moment is ours to own. Cause we're standing on the edge of great!"

The rest of the band had joined once more. Julie hops off of the piano as she discreetly passes a slip of paper to Victoria. She uses one hand to hold it as she reads it, her eye soon widening.

"On the edge of great."

"On the edge of great."

"Great! On the edge of great."

"On the edge!"

"Great, on the edge of great!"

"'Cause, we're standing on the edge of..." And with that Julie walks off to the side as Reggie and Alex disappear, leaving Victoria and Luke making the audience gasp.

Luke swings his guitar so that it's out of the way as he sits on Victoria's left. He scuts closer so that the mic is in between them, making their faces only inches apart.

"Running from the past. Tripping on the now." Little by little their faces get closer, creating less of a gap between them as their voices melt together. "What is lost can be found, it's obvious..."

Right as their lips are about to connect, they both disappear, making all of the audience gasp at the place they were sitting just seconds before.
