Shin Yoosung | Disaster's POV

I was an embodiment of chaos, a disaster that destroyed planets and creatures. But before that, I was just a girl, a mere follower, a subordinate, a pawn of Yoo Junghyuk from the 41st round.

My heart was filled with hatred towards the manโ€”his audacity, his face, everything about him.

I loathe him.

So in my name, I'll bear the sin and honor to kill him and destroy this round.

But facing this mysterious figure... Would I even succeed?

"Say, have you heard of a man named Kim Dokja?"

.

.

.

Rimuru's POV

I tightened my grip on her wrist.

Her iris was visibly shaking as our eyes locked.

"I'll take that as a yes."

I threw her backward, and she immediately moved her legs to move away further. Her expression revealed so much about how alarmed she was feeling.

Using my [Magic Sense], I could see that she was cornered. Lee Hyunsung and Lee Jihye, who were knocked out earlier, managed to come in time and took positions in the north and west.

Jihye had activated her [Ghost Fleet], summoning a fleet of ships to her aid. She couldn't use this earlier because the river had frozen. Thanks to Hyunsung for breaking the ice and freeing the waters, she finally released her ace.

Min Jiwon, the 'Beauty King', and her army rode Jihye's ships and were ready to help her. Two forces are positioned in the north direction.

Hyunsung was in the west direction. His hands gripped the shield tightly as Cha Sanggyeong, the 'Maitreya King', and his army readied themselves in action.

That wasn't all.

In the east direction, Yoo Sangah, Gong Pildu, Lee Gilyoung, and other incarnations positioned themselves; each of them had their weapons and skills ready.

Lastly, the south direction where I was standing. I wasn't alone, though. Queen Mirabad, a sea beast, loomed behind me, but she wasn't hostile.

On top of the sea beast's head was a little girl. Shin Yoosung of this round.

And at the center was the Disaster of Floods, the Shin Yoosung from the 41st round.

Well, this is going to be interesting.

.

.

.

"Are you the future me?" Shin Yoosung stood firmly on top of the beast's head, her eyes looking down at the other version of herself. A version she never thought of.

A monstrous version of herself.

"Bring mister back to life!" Shin Yoosung shouted.

This struck a chord in the disaster's mind. 'Who is that mister?' The question kept bothering her, and it pissed her off even more.

She couldn't afford to be careless now that she was surrounded east to west and north to south.

No, the quantity wasn't a threat to her. The chances were thin, but she could defeat everyone from all directions. She could do it with a few casualties... but this person was the problem.

Rimuru was a threat she was aware of. And he was the sole reason why she was cautious.

"This is annoying." She clicked her tongue before using her ability [Beast Road] to summon high-level monsters.

"Now... this seems fair," she smirked, feeling that her chances gained some weight after moments of being slim.

Heavy Metal Kong walked in Hyunsung's direction. King Masswood walked in Jihye's direction. Sahara Basilisk walked in Sangah's direction, and the disaster herself treaded towards Rimuru and Shin Yoosung.

"It's still not a fair fight for me, though," she said and then launched herself at Rimuru. She looked like she was about to take him head-on, but the latter knew her plan.

She shot a beam at Queen Mirabad, causing Shin Yoosung to stagger and fall off from the beast's head. She used Yoosung as a distraction.

"You're endangering your other self," Rimuru swiftly ran towards Shin Yoosung before she crashed on the ground, but in a moment of suspense mid-air, the disaster's claws were closing at them.

"Die."

Rimuru used [Multilayered Barrier] to protect himself and Yoosung from her attack, but he noticed the shift in power dynamics in the disaster.

She was supposed to unleash a full strike, but her attack suddenly weakened when it hit the barrier.

'I don't remember my barrier having that kind of effect, so I assumed it was a fluke or... Something had intervened,' Rimuru pondered.

Meanwhile, the disaster stared at her hand. 'What just happened?' She asked herself. Even she didn't know what was happening.

She was certain the attack was powerful enough to break the barrier or cause a crack... but it didn't do any damage at all.

'What's going on?' The disaster thought as her hand twitched independently. Her eyes widened as she realized she couldn't control her body.

'Stop, Yoosung.'

A man's voice echoed in her mind.

She began to shake her head.

 'W-What? A voice!?'

"W-Who are you?!"

The sudden outburst caught Rimuru's attention. And that didn't slip from Shin Yoosung's eyes. Seeing her future self acting weird... She sensed something.

"Mister?" Her eyes watered as she heard the same voice inside the disaster's head.

It was Kim Dokja.

.

.

.

[The 'King of No Killing' attribute has taken effect.]

It feels great to be alive again.

Even though being naked didn't feel that great.

Oh wow, I saw my clothes and items still lying on the ground where I had died.

I didn't waste my time and quickly got dressed and picked up my items.

"K-Kim Dokja?"

I heard that voice.

I turned around to look at Yoo Junghyuk being restrained by a bunch of mummies.

"H-How did you?" I could feel the annoyance and anger in his voice, especially his expression, but I didn't have the time to waste.

"I'll explain later, so follow me," I said and killed the mummies.

.

.

.

I supported Yoo Junghyuk as we walked towards the scene. Everyone was gathered, or more like circling one thing... or someone.

They were circling the disaster.

"D-Dokja!" The moment they saw me, their faces lit up.

As much as I'd like to have a happy reunion after my death, there was still some business left undone.

I walked towards the center, where the disaster was kneeling hopelessly. Rimuru in front of her.

"I'll leave the decision to you," Rimuru said with a cold tone. "And we're going to talk after this."

He must have been super annoyed after I died. "Sure... later."

Rimuru stepped back, but not that far away from me. Then, my focus went towards the disaster. Shin Yoosung of the 41st round.

I know that if all of us attacked her now, we would finish the scenario... but

"W-Who the hell are you?..." Her face dropped as her voice was shaking. "Because of you, everything.. is ruined..."

"This never happened... in the round that I know of..."

I know. If I were her, I wouldn't fail to make that reaction.

Everything that was happening right now never happened in the past rounds.

Starting from my appearance... and Rimuru's.

"Welcome," I greeted her. "I've been waiting for you for a long time."

My words seemed to have left her blank and surprised. She raised her head and looked at me with her brows knitting in confusion.

"Just who are you?" she asked.

"Someone who wanted to build the same world as you," and I responded softly.

I know what I was doing, and I've told Rimuru about the plan.

Shin Yoosung has to live. And I was determined to make it happen.

"Shin Yoosung," I said as I held out my hand. "This is your round now."

I locked eyes with her as I offered my hand. I wasn't giving false hopes... and I was firm in making my stand.

But I didn't realize that it was his time to show up.

["I'm sorry, but I can't allow that."]

And just like that, my plans turned upside down when this mid-grade dokkaebi appeared.

[The Character, Shin Yoosung's alignment has been fixed to evil.]

.

.

.

Rimuru's POV

"What the heck?" I unsheathed my sword as I pulled Dokja away from the disaster.

This goofball did something ominous, and suddenly, the disaster got wrapped in chains and turned her into something powerful...

I could feel the ominous power flowing in and out of her.

{In this case, the Disaster of Floods would undoubtedly destroy Seoul.}

That's alarming me more than I thought.

{It isn't a problem for Master.}

W-What? You're saying like it's easy to beat this scary disaster...

{...}

ROAR!!

A menacing roar promised the destruction of Seoul.

And that broke me out of my thoughts.

I noticed Yoo Junghyuk unsheathing his sword and dashing toward the young Shin Yoosung, but Kim Dokja moved faster and defended her.

Right. The easy way to kill the disaster was to kill the younger Shin Yoosung since the disaster was the future self of Shin Yoosung. If we kill her, the disaster will also disappear.

But that wasn't part of the plan.

"We can defeat the disaster..." Kim Dokja convinced Junghyuk to not hurt the child and then looked at me.

"There is a way..."

Plan B, huh?

I guess it's time to shinโ€”

[The Disaster of Storms is preparing to hatch.]

Huh?

Disaster of Storms?

Kim Dokja never mentioned this one, though.

I looked back at Kim Dokja and saw his eyes wide open as my own.

"... Was this part of the plan?" I asked Kim Dokja.

His face went pale as a bead of sweat ran down his forehead.

"No."

[The Disaster of Storms is awakening.]

.

.

.

This must be a dream...

[The Disaster of Storms has awakened.]

A growl of unending hunger and an aura of despair threatened to consume us all.

[A new main scenario has arrived.]

I never would have thought of the day that the past I've left would come back to me in such disastrous ways I never anticipated.

"Rughhgh.. grrhahh"

An abomination's voice.

{Situation... cannot comprehend. Preparing for battle mode.}

My disbelief about how things turned out was overwhelming...

"... Who... W-Who in the world placed you here?"

ROAR!!!!

Of all the things I have to fight...
