"tae, can you put this inside the van? thanks," sunoo sighed in relief as taeyoung took the cooler from him.

it's the day of their retreat and the team is waiting for the other members to arrive. there are two vans already parked outside of the university to accommodate them.

"why did you let that guy come with us?" he overhears sunghoon asking jay.

"but you said i could do whatever i want-"

"if sunoo's mood turns sour i will throw you out of-" sunghoon stops talking when he sees sunoo raising an eyebrow at him.

"chill, hoon. no throwing of friends outside the vehicle." sunoo pats his shoulder and glanced at the direction where heeseung and jake are standing. the two have been talking for a while since jake arrived, asking if he can join the retreat.

of course i agreed. why wouldn't i?

he stops his thoughts when he sees ni-ki approaching him while grinning. he also noticed that he was holding his phone before he stopped a few meters away from him.

"sunoo hyung, smile!" sunoo didn't have time to process what just happened when he heard a shutter sound coming from ni-ki's phone.

"riki, delete that right now."

the younger shook his head. "why? you look cute here. i'm posting this on twit- wait hyung!" riki's eyes widened when sunoo suddenly snatched the phone away from his hand.

"hyung i promise i won't post the picture anymore, just give me back my phone."

sunoo raised an eyebrow at him. riki is inches closer from him as he faced the boy. why does he look genuinely scared, though? is he hiding something weird on his phone?

"wait, do you have videos on your phone?" he whispered, his tone full of judgment.

ni-ki stops moving in confusion. "huh? what videos?"

"you know..." he leaned closer so only riki could hear his voice. "por-"

"hyung!" ni-ki covered his mouth and laughed awkwardly. he took his phone away from sunoo's hand.

he feels his face heating up, so riki walks away from the older to avoid more embarrassment.

"riki, are you sick? your face is red." ningning comments as she sees the freshman's face.

jungwon rolled his eyes. "he's just like that sometimes, especially when his small brain overheats." he pulls his friend to the side of the van.

sunoo laughs as he watches ni-ki sulk in the corner, face still a bit red from his teasing.

after a few more minutes, sunghoon gestured for everyone to gather around before they leave the university.

"okay, sunoo and i will drive the vans. since there are twelve of us, we can just divide ourselves. hurry up and get inside now."

sunghoon walked towards the black van. the others followed; ningning, yuna, jungwon, and taeyoung all got inside the van.

sunoo sighed before getting inside the driver's seat of the white van. he stares at the remaining people outside, "hurry up guys, it's already 7:30."

it was jay who ran first towards the shotgun. he grinned before sitting on the passenger's seat. "i have a great playlist for drives."

sunoo scoffed. "why do you have a driving playlist when you can't even drive?" he looks back when the door on the side opened, revealing jeno and chenle.

"jeno wanted to ride this van because he wants to simp on sunoo-hmmph!" chenle stops talking when jeno shoves a hand towel inside his mouth. sunoo chuckled when the two start fighting at the back.

"jake! why are you still standing there like a damn tree? get inside before we leave your ass!" jay yelled, waving his hand like a windshield.

jake glanced at heeseung. "let's go?"

ni-ki wanted to ride with sunoo, but the van's probably almost full now. he was about to walk towards the other vehicle when heeseung beat him to it.

"you should go with your cousin. i'll ride on the other van." he spoke with a cold tone on his voice while opening the passenger's seat of the black van.

huh, that's weird. i should be thankful... but why do i feel uneasy?

riki brushed the thought off and went inside the van to where his sunoo hyung is.

meanwhile, sunghoon smirks at heeseung when the guy sits beside him. he was watching the situation earlier, slightly entertained by the scene.

"it sucks, doesn't it?" sunghoon whistles before starting the engine. "the stupid things we do for certain people..."

heeseung didn't say a word and just closed his eyes, trying to shut the noise around him.

it's gonna be a long, annoying ride.
