the two are standing outside the faculty office of their department after soobin gave them the official list of people who'll join the sports week- which is set to be held next week.

"are you fucking kidding me?" he snatched the paper away from his friend to check if he's reading it right. "chess? really?"

"what? that's a sport too."

sunoo looked at him with disbelief. "you joined chess, but you want me to join a 100-meter sprint race? do i look like i run fast?"

"but you joined a running competition back in middle school-"

"that was a marathon, hoon. and for the record, i only won because the guy before me got cramps on his way to the finish line."

sunghoon grinned at him. if i push him down the stairs later, how long am i gonna be in jail?

"sunoo, it's a one-time event for the sports week so can you please just say yes?"

sunoo only huffed in response while his friend looks at him with hopeful eyes. park fucking sunghoon, i will get my revenge later.

"fine, as if i have other choices."

"yes! thank you sun, you're a lifesaver." sunghoon manages to give him a kiss on the side of his head before rushing back inside the faculty room.

now... he looked down at his feet. i guess i should start practicing sprints before i embarass myself in front of everyone at the event.

they're hanging out at the headquarters since the team has to finish the manuscript by friday. only sunoo and sunghoon are not present in the room.

jungwon sighed. "fine so you could shut up." he leaned closer, "i saw sunoo and sunghoon hyung earlier at the faculty office."

"and???"

"well, they were talking and i was about to walk towards them when i saw it-" jungwon small eyes widened, as if he discovered something huge. "sunghoon hyung kissed sunoo hyung!"

riki blinked. again, and again.

"he.... what?" he raised an eyebrow at the guy. "are you sure that's what you saw-"

"i'm sure!" his voice got louder, while yuna and chenle looked at them with curiosity.

"where? is it on the lips?"

"n-no..." jungwon smiled hesitantly. "on the side of his head..."

riki rolled his eyes. "i kiss my grandma like that. stop putting malice on everything."

the freshmen stopped talking when chenle asked the question. jungwon grinned and shook his head. "nothing, hyung."

chenle switched seats and sat in front of them. "no, tell me. what kiss? i'm curious."

riki laughed. "it's nothing hyung, jungwon saw sunghoon kiss sunoo hyung earlier so he thought..." he hasn't even finished his sentence when chenle laughed, while yuna and taeyoung are also chuckling at the corner.

"you thought those two are dating?" chenle stopped laughing and glanced at them. "honestly, we all thought the same when we first met them."

yeah, i guess i did think of that at some point too. ni-ki couldn't help but agree.

yuna chimed in. "but if you see them, like- all four of them together- you'll realize that it's just how they treat sunoo. normally, they like to cling and protect him."

"true, plus sunoo is also protective when it comes to them." chenle nodded.

the two agreed again. it was evident back when they were having lunch together.

"uh, i was just curious about something hyung..." whatever, i'm just gonna ask.

"did sunoo hyung ever had a relationship while studying here? because i heard he doesn't like any of that."

taeyoung cleared his throat and stood up. "good question, did he or did he not? i also have no idea." he stared at chenle who was thinking deeply.

"i think he had a relationship. there were rumors; said he dated someone from the architecture, some also said that he was dating an athlete." yuna shrugged, "we didn't know what was the truth."

jungwon sipped on his fruit shake. "you never asked him, noona?"

"hell no. besides, it looks like he's sensitive when it comes to that topic."

"but there was one rumor, they said he had a relationship with one of his friends." chenle spoke with a serious tone.

one of his friends.... "friends- you mean jay, heeseung, and sunghoon hyung?" riki asked, clarifying.

"okay enough of that! get back to work now," chenle stood up and clicked his fingers.

they all went back to editing, while ni-ki is still thinking about what chenle told them.

if you look at them... i mean, it's not impossible. if sunoo really dated one of his friends, fuck- then how can i compete with that?
