Fact Sixty: This song tells a story about a 14-year-old girl who was abducted by an older man during a concert. This girl was also raped and put into torture. This took place during the late 1980's.

(Billy Idol Concert! *Not The Concert The Girl Was At*)

Fact Sixty-One: The 14-year-old girl (whose name we do not know) was abducted by Gerald Friend. He had offered the girl a ride home after the concert. The girl couldn't decline the offer because she was held at knife-point.

Fact Sixty-Two: The song Polly was written from the perspective of Gerald Friend, the perpetrator.

(Photograph of Friend a long time, if I had to guess, this was taken during the 80's as well)

Fact Sixty-Three: The name of the song is Polly, when you think of the name Polly, you think of a parrot, Polly The Parrot. Parrots are pets, so Gerald Friend looked at the girl as more of a pet than a person. The idea, he could do anything he wanted to do with his pet.

Fact Sixty-Four: Kurt was a person who helped contribute attention to women who had gotten raped or sexually assaulted (a feminist ). Polly was an eye-opener to rape victims and sexual assault.

Fact Sixty-Five: The drummer in this song is not Dave Grohl, but instead is Chad Channing.

Wow. I had no idea that this song was about rape and torture! Also, the 14-year-old girl survived the abduction! She is alive and had escaped from Gerald. Thank you for reading!! This also gives us a sense of being super careful about our surroundings.
