I'm so glad that you decided to come," I smile at the buzz-haired boy next to me.
"me too," A smile appeared on Eli's face, making my heart warm as I looked from him to Miguel, who was standing on my other side.
"This is day one," Johnny interrupted with a nod. "You've been here before, but things are different now,"
I suddenly felt Eli's fingertips barely brush against my hand, making me blush foolishly, not even knowing if he did it purposely.
"They tried to tear us down, didn't work!" Johnny paced in-front of us three. "This park will be our new dojo,"
I couldn't help but smile at the thought of it all.
" 'Cause you don't need a dojo to be a dojo, is that understood?"
"Yes sensei!" The boys sounded declarative while my words came out more like a question.
"I started Cobra Kai with one nerd," Johnny pointed to Miguel, "This is a step up. And if we want to be taken seriously, we need a name that commands respect."
We all nodded curiously.
"Cobras are strong, but there's only one animal that can kill a snake," Johnny added.
"A mongoose," Eli said proudly, making our brows furrow at the name while Johnny looked almost disgusted.
"A real animal, Hawk," Johnny scoffed, earning a confused look from all of us, "Welcome, to eagle fang karate,"
Johnny took fabric out of his bag, showing us a red t-shirt with an scary looking eagle on it.
"Badass, I like it," I smile at the man as he threw one at me before we put them over our clothes.
The day after Johnny told us he was officially 'opening' his own dojo, I went directly at Miyagi-do where Sam, Robby and Demetri were training.
Even though I felt guilty about leaving them after all they did for me, I wanted to do what was best for me; Miyagi-do felt like a rebound dojo, and I missed sensei Lawrence.
I could tell that Mr.LaRusso felt betrayed by my actions, and that Sam wasn't far from it, but she still understood my decision.
Demetri didn't care at all, he was just happy that Eli and I got back on good terms. I reassured him that he will be too, and that it was only a matter of time.
I couldn't tell how Robby felt; He didn't speak a single word, he only nodded while I explained exactly why I was leaving; I knew deep inside that I needed to talk to him privately, to sort things out between the both of us.
To make matters worst, thoughts about me going back home kept popping into my mind, even though I pushed them away as soon as I could; It was the last thing I wanted to think about, even though the date was approaching quicker than I would liked it.
For now, I needed to think about Eli, Miguel, Johnny and I; Eagle Fang Karate.

"Y/n, can you stay a second?" My math teacher said to me before I tried leaving with Eli; He gave me a soft 'good luck' before walking into the crowded halls with the other students.
"I saw that you applied for the tutoring program," She smiled gently, making me nod, "I'm happy you did, it's a great opportunity to help students who may have difficulty in certain subjects."
"And it looks good on the university applications," I gave her a soft laugh that she returned with a nod.
"Anyways, I see that you and Eli are close, and that he has been doing less than average in math recently. I have to pair one tutor with one student, so is that okay with you?"
It would've bothered me weeks ago, but now, considering we were getting progressively closer, or so I hoped, I was feeling more comfortable to be alone with him.
"Yeah sure, I would love to help him out," I smile at her.

ELI'S P.O.V
I excitedly met y/n in the library after lunch like she asked me to.
I was more than happy to be doing math during my lunch break if it meant being with her; being alone with her.
Of course, I wouldn't want to make a move or make her uncomfortable, especially since we just got on good terms.
Even though I knew she didn't care like I did, mainly because of how she ignored my letter, I couldn't help myself but to care and cherish my every moment with her.
I entered the library, instantly spotting her sitting at one of the tables, looking as beautiful as ever.
"Oh, hey," She looked up from her book, her eyes squinting from her delicate smile.
"Hey," I whispered almost shyly, intimidated by how the sun grazed her naked collar bone.
"You can sit down you know?" She looked a little confused as a soft giggle escaped from her lips.
"Oh, uh, yeah," I cleared my throat while taking a sit besides her.
Maybe this will be harder than I had expected.
Time stopped when both our eyes fell into each other's, making me want to stay just like this forever.
I forced myself to not look down at her lips.
She looked away with a little blush forming on her face before quickly opening the text books that laid in front of us.
"You like eagle fang?" I whispered trying to relieve the tension a little bit.
"Yeah, I do, especially when we got the best karate students there is," She winked at me, earning a soft nod.
silence.
"y/n?" I avoided her eyes as she looked up at me. "In how long are you leaving?" I started playing with my fingers nervously as my brows furrowed in worry.
I couldn't help myself but to ask her.
"Let's talk about math okay?" She cleared her throat upsettingly while taking out some math papers, making me instantly regret my question.
More math, less talking, got it.

Did I found out where Tory Nichols worked just so I could talk to her?
Maybe.
"Hello, may I take your order?" Tory said almost annoyed as she took out a small notepad from her front pockets.
A small smirk appeared on her face the moment I put the menu down and she realized who I was.
"Pretty boy," She smiled almost evilly. "What will you be ordering today?"
I knew Kreese sent her after y/n, I knew it.
No one could do such evil things without being manipulated by a man like him.
"I'll have a milkshake," She wrote it down, as I forced myself not to cause a scene, "And a side of leave my friend alone,"
"Your friend?"
"The one Kreese sent you after to literally assault." My jaw clenched unconsciously.
"You're friends with that little bitch?" She scoffed, "I don't make any promises pretty boy,"
"Oh, but you will,"
"Or what?" Her eyebrow raised as her temper visibly mounted.
It was easy to find out she had a short temper after what she did to y/n.
"If you know what's best for you, you'll leave Cobra Kai, and that piece of shit Kreese. I know that you think he's such a good man right now, but he's not. he'll turn you into something your not, trust me,"
"You don't know nothing pretty boy. Kreese was there when no one was. He payed off my mom hospital bills and our rent. Helping him is the last thing I could do," She scoffed
Of course he did.
"Helping him?"
"Helping him win the war, fight our enemies,"
"Y/n's not your enemy, what did she do to you?" I got angry, especially at the way she reminded me of myself when Kreese controlled my brain.
"Look, I don't care. I'll do as I please," She scoffed, as I got up, ready to leave before I got too mad.
"Okay sure, but if you, or any of Kreese's little minions touch her, it'll be the end for all of you, make sure to tell the devil," I got in her face as she looked at me in disgust. "If it's war he wants, I'll give him war,"
a/n: OOP- anyways... I hope that you liked this chapter! Sorry for the wait! This book was meant to be more on the shorter side (and fast paced) so it'll be over in a couple of chapters, idk how many. But, don't worry, I have more and better Eli content coming you way after this book ;)
Feel free to leave a vote if you liked! Thank you so much for your support!
Have a good day/night <3
