The crowd started cheering with the Cobra Kai group as Eli screamed with his arms up.

Eli had won against Robby.

Robby looked disappointed as he walked back towards us.

"You did your best, you were good out there" I said, leaning towards him.

"Not good enough apparently." Robby looked straight at Eli who was surrounded by his excited dojo mates.

"Next up, Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate verses Y/n Y/l/n from Miyagi-do."

I gulped nervously while I faced Miguel.

He gave me the softest nod while a smile appeared on his face, that I quickly returned.

It sadden me that I progressively lost my connection with Miguel since I left Cobra Kai. At least, I knew he wasn't mad about it.

"Face me, bow"

"Face each other, bow"

"Fighting position, Ready?"

"Fight!"

I ducked under Miguel's first punch before hitting him multiple times in a simultaneous tornado of movements. He blocked almost all of my moves except for the last kick that landed on his abdomen.

"Point y/l/n"

Miguel looked surprised at my improvement.It's been a while since he saw me fight.

"Fight."

I lugged myself towards him with a punch that he quickly blocked before striking me twice. I blocked his advances while side kicking him. He dodged my kick before kicking me back, but I took hold of his foot, causing him to fall to the ground.

I took this opportunity to punch him in the chest.

"Point y/l/n"

Miguel and I almost went over the three minute limit while I had two points and he had one. All along, it was very tight, but I ended up winning.

Miguel hugged me instantly even though Kreese gave him a disapproving glance.

I was proud of myself but scared at the same time because this only meant one thing;

I had to fight Eli.

Our eyes met, making my heart skip a beat. I saw right through his tough exterior; he looked nervous.

Flashback

"You're never gonna beat me though" Eli smirked standing into a fighting stance after sensei Lawrence told me how good i've gotten.

I rolled my eyes before quickly punching him but he blocked it and flipped me over causing me to fall.

Our fighting consisted principally of dodges and blocks so I was surprised at his sudden aggression.

I rapidly got back up before side kicking him in the chest. I finally got him making him stumble back.

He swung at me but I dodged it making it the perfect moment for me to sweep his leg.

He clearly had been going easy on me.

He acted dead on the mat which of course made me laugh. I knew that he could've continued, and beat me, but he wanted to give me the satisfaction.

"I will someday" I smirked while handing out my hand.

ELI'S P.O.V

I couldn't help myself, my face lit up when I saw that y/n had won. I knew just how important this was to her.

I obliviously couldn't cheer because Kreese and my fellow Cobras would've killed me.

Miguel hugged her, and I could see the happiness radiating from her face, I wished I was the one sharing that moment with her.

My heart quickly got crushed when I realized I now had to fight y/n during the finals.

Our worried eyes met from across the arena just before Kreese pulled me to the side.

"Don't focus on her, focus on the fight, on the victory. Don't hold back, No mercy." Kreese said intensely, exaggerating on the 'no mercy' part.

I inhaled and nodded seriously.

"She's good, but she relies to much on defense, show her what real offense looks like" He smirked cruelly.
"There's only one direction; forward, towards the pray."

Y/N'S P.O.V

We both hopped on the mat before intensely facing each other. He had a unreadable look on his face, which was pretty unusual; I could always tell just how he was feeling.

"Finally a worthy opponent" He said out of no where half playfully, just like we didn't have our previous conversation.

I tried not letting my anger from earlier or any of my other feelings blur my thoughts; I needed to focus if I wanted to win. I needed to forget who was in front of me.

"Face me, bow"

"Face each other, bow"

"Fight!"

I made the first move and spin kicked him but he moved to the side, avoiding my foot. He swung a hook at my head but I barely ducked under. He then threw unexpected punches at me, that I surprisingly blocked one after the other.

I kneed him in the stomach, making him stumble back but he then struck me right in the chest taking my breath away.

I took a slight moment to catch my breath back.

"Point Hawk"

He certainly was better than Miguel, Eli had stronger and agressif attacks; a better offense.

He wanted to play rough?

I could play rough.

"Fight!"

I threw myself at him while punching him constantly, leaving all of Mr.Larruso's 'defense only' behind. He blocked the majority before swinging at me.

I quickly ducked over before power kicking him in the stomach with all the rage I had built up. He fell back on his butt with a groan.

"Point y/l/n"

I cockily smirked at him while he got up slightly frustrated.

"Fight!"

The other point soon followed: He threw a straight punch, aiming towards my face but I blocked him before flipping him over and punching him hard in the chest.

"Point y/l/n"'

Kreese called time and both Eli and I walked over to our sensei. Eli looked like he was slightly frustrated at what Kreese told him.

"Looks like you're using a bit more of Cobra Kai Karate" Mr.LaRusso gulped.

I opened my mouth to talk but Sam quickly cut me off. "Yeah, and she's winning, I think we can learn a thing or two from y/n" She smirked proudly at me.

Mr.LaRusso didn't look so proud, but at least he was understanding.

It was now two to two. I needed one point to win. The tension in the room got higher as we both faced each other again.

"Fight!"

Eli threw a punch towards my head, I ducked before he pushed me to the ground and kicked my chest.

Before he could kick me again,I rolled back so that I was on my knees, lift myself on with one arm and kicked him in the chest with full force with both my legs.

He fell back painfully just before the three minutes could run out.

"Point y/l/n"

Mostly everyone got out of their seats and cheered. I looked over at sensei Lawrence and he had the biggest smile on his face.

"Good job" He mouthed proudly.

"Well would you look at that! A double leg kick!" The annoncer said surprised.

My fellow Miyagi-dos quickly rushed at me and hugged me tightly.

"You did it y/n!" Robby said excitedly before pecking my cheek amicably.

ELI'S P.O.V

Y/n had won. I was disappointed in myself but I was so happy for her, she really deserved it.

Her happy face jumped with the other Miyagi-dos as Robby kissed her cheek out of no where, making me frustrated.

I was frustrated at the world; frustrated at myself for letting y/n go, frustrated at the jerk I had became, frustrated at Keene for stealing y/n.

"You let her win" Kreese spat behind me. "Shes got you completely whipped hasn't she?"

"I tried my best" I said, growing angrier."y/n is just better than me."

"You're pathetic." He scoffed.

Maybe I was.

The moment I got home, I slammed the door behind me, scaring my mom who was in the kitchen.

She closely followed as I ran directly towards my room before slamming that door too.

I dropped myself completely on my bed while I heard her knocking.

"Eli you know it's okay if you didn't win! It doesn't mean you didn't do your best!" She half yelled on the other side of the door.

"I don't care about that" I yelled angered. "I didn't deserve to win anyways. I screwed up." I started sobbing the tears that I was pushing away for so long.

"I'll be here if you want to talk" She cooed in her sweet mom voice before leaving me alone like I always ask her too.

It was all my fault.

I acted like a jerk, I listened to Kreese, I gave into the peer pressure and look were it got me;

I had lost the love of my life.
